the anime is Japanese, it takes place in China, and they speak Japanese???...I really didn't understand it but I really liked the anime. If anyone wants to help me understand I would appreciate it
They only speak Japanese because the creator of the show and manga is a Japanese person. Most anime are produced in Japan hence the Japanese dub being the original. There is an English dub as well. It's like when they have anime set in western countries they still have the original dub in Japanese.
