Best Mother Son Wedding Dance to Forever Young 

My 1st born, my son, was born Nov of 1985. I’m not sure when “Forever Young” was released but it was a fairly new song. I was overcome with joy when he was born. I could do nothing but hold him, and play with him, AND DANCE with him. I’d normally keep the tv on MTV, so there was continual music. I would dance to this song holding him in my arms. I always felt that he liked our “dance sessions.” When he got a little older, I sang it to him all the time. It had become “Our Song.” As he grew I would remind him of Forever Young. I would write it on his Birthday & Valentines cards. Some would say, or probably did, that I ran it into the ground. He became a teenager & then a young grown up. When I heard it on the radio I’d call him & sing it to him. I need to send him this video now. He is now a U.S. Soldier over in the Middle East somewhere. I really didn’t want him to go into the Service, but seriously I thought about Rod’s words in this song, “NO MATTER WHAT ROAD YOU CHOOSE, I’M RIGHT BEHIND YOU, WIN OR LOSE, FOREVER YOUNG.” I still that little blonde, curly headed boy when I think of him. Please God keep my little boy safe! To me, he’ll always be, FOREVER YOUNG!

My seven year old is in my lap right now he watched this with me. He just promised to dance with me at his wedding. ❤

Tears from one mother to another…. No matter how old your sons get, they will forever be your babies!!! Yours and theirs, first love. I know when I gave birth almost 35 years ago to my first and 30 years ago to my second baby boys I fell in love when they were in my womb, but my GOD did I fall in love when they were delivered and in my arms looking me in my eyes, what a love and bond instantly, all hurt and pain GONE!!!! I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for my three blessings, a baby girl I lost during my pregnancy in between having my sons, she is in Heaven and visits me in my dreams, for I know The Lord allows her to watch over me, her dad and brothers and now her niece and nephew… There is only one thing greater than a mothers love, that is our Heavenly Father’s love. Amen. To the son and mom on this video, congratulations and this momma felt the love! Awesome dancing too!! 🥸😍🥰🙏🙌 BTW, I’m using my hubby’s phone! Lol

When I was feeling a bit disconcerted earlier today about thinking of my mother. She was truly a gift only The Lord can give a person . After watching the video, I got smile on my face and remembered all the great and tough times went through. Sometimes I hear her distinct laugh, the sometimes would wake me up. Late night with Johnny Carson. I would get that same smile on my face as I am right now. When I hear now, I know she is safe. Thank you. And thank God for the gift of a TRUE mother. We are lucky. 😂
