This is our Group Reaction & Review to AVATAR (2009). in this movie a U.S. Marine named Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) who becomes part of a program in which human colonizers explore and exploit an alien world called Pandora. The humans interact with a humanoid species called the Na'vi by inhabiting genetically engineered “avatar” bodies that resemble those of the Na'vi.

I’ll admit, it Is annoying but I Totally get it. 😂 Wild…This movie is truly a Wild, Beautiful masterpiece… Y’all get ready for Avatar: The Way of Water. Not only was it Good, but - It will make you feel Glad that it lasted THAT long…Because I didn’t want it to end.

The Na’vi and the Avatars are similar, but you can tell them apart. The Avatars have five fingers like a human and the Na’vi have four, the Avatar’s neural queue sprouts from the bottom of their skull instead of near the top like the Na’vi, and Avatars are able to grow some body hair like eyebrows whereas the Na’vi don’t If the Avatar body dies you’re ripped back into your human body, I imagine it’s distressing and can leave some mental damage, probably PTSD

I was 9 years old when I watched the first movie in the cinema in 2009 and it was just so awesome!! Seeing the second movie in 2022, at 23 years old, was also very great too, but for the story I prefer the first one❤

So true I was a JR in high school When it was in theaters and from 04-2011 I seen over 100 movies in theaters being middle school age and early high school that’s all we did. And we saw this 4 times. There was nothing like this ever on screen befor maybe compare it to how people felt in 77’ when Star Wars released

Tsaheylu, the bond, is a neural connection between two minds, two bodies, two souls. It is a way to become one with the wildlife on Pandora and Eywa Herself. It is a very intimate experience between two Na’vi, as you think and feel what the other is If the Kuru/Queue is cut, a Na’vi is instantly severed from their people, their wildlife and their planet, and that is unthinkable, and would likely end with s*icide. Tsu-Tey almost had his cut in the end, but they changed it

Jake’s original Ikran (who he named Bob) is still out there! He is still his spirit brother, but at this time Toruk is needed more It is quite devastating to lose your Ikran- Seze got shot and Neytiri felt it through the bond.

The forest Na’vi do not share spirit bonds with their ikrans. It’s something fans made up after avatar the way of water came out. They call their Ikrans their ‘bonded’. Ikrans do not have the required intelligence to have such deep level bonds with their ‘riders’ like Tulkun do.

Ikrans are lifelong companions whereas tulkun are not. When a Na’vi ikran passes away, they grieve but eventually move on and make a new bond. The spiritual connection and bond with the reef Na’vi and Tulkun doesn’t work that way. When a Tulkun passes, another bond will not be made.

i love that gabes shirt says "rise to the challenge" because in na'vi there is a phrase for that that is said during their Iknimaya (the name for the challenges they have to do to become an adult in the Omatikaya clan) the phrase is "sivako"

This has always been my favorite movie since it came out. I know it has a lot of issues but I just love the world. Just realized you guys haven't continued the Ice Age "saga"... I mean you only watched the first one, but I'm pretty sure you would enjoy the other two or three at least, so I recommend continuing the reaction about Ice Age films I also suggest reacting the film Rush: not an animation but a real based film about the '70s of Formula 1 races🙌

6:03 oxygen level is either much higher then Earths or Much lower then earths, but considering how clean planet it is i would say its much higher, earth in the age of dinosaur oxygen level was 80%-100% something like that, reason why dinosaur's were able to grow so big, large body need large lung and large lungs need ferry high oxygen level, example if some1 would be able to clone dinosaurs Jurassic Park Stile the dinosaurs would die cause of low oxygen level earth currently (modern day) has 30% - 50% oxygen level

avatars (the ones made by humans) are mixed in with human dna. they have more human faces, 5 fingers, and differently textured hair. the navi (the natives) have more cat like faces, are more agile, and have 4 fingers.

It’s funny cause the term Unobtainium has been around since the 1950’s- engineers and scientists have used it to describe a theoretical ‘perfect’ material to solve specific engineering problems even though the material/element doesn’t exist, sort of a ‘well if something that did *this and that and also this* existed, this would work perfectly’- but the name still sounds stupid 😭
