Amazing work, thank you. However, I did some google search and didn't detached houses in the price ranges you gave. Mostly all more expensive, and very few listings in the communities cited. Does this mean they aren't listed on real estate sites?

Great work but ,you came close all the way to hamptons but you missed "Hawks ridge" area with its natural beauty, zero crimes, quite, great investment for the value due to its proximity to loishole centennial provincial park also , "trumpter", "sterling"and "kinglet".

My twin sons live in the Windermere area. I visit them often and hope to move to Edmonton in the not too distant future. Moved from Montreal to Peace River, big, big change. So Edmonton is the best choice!

SW Edmonton area is really nice for single family detached homes. Prices are slightly higher than some other areas in Edmonton but it is worth it.

Please apart from Windermere, which other communities do they have in the SW?

Glenora/Grovenor/Westmount would be my choice for areas. Right in the middle of everything. Close to Downtown, West Edmonton Mall, Universities, etc. Very central.

Just moved out of Westmount in October, crime was getting out of hand. House broken into while we were home sleeping, year later garage broken into and cleared out, degenerates moving through the alley constantly…had had enough. Moved to Parkview. Much better though I do miss the walkability of being right off 124th ST.

I grew up in that neighborhood. North Glenora is a fantastic neighborhood, best for families.

Windermere is the best area in Edmonton - period. It is not only about the housing options, but it is extremely safe and has all the retail and commercial amenities you need. You literally do not have to leave Windermere for anything. Doctors, blood work, groceries, restaurants it has everything!

Lots of good going on there. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Lol except for the Henday backup most mornings evenings in the winter. Not to mention the same on Terwillegar. Sherwood Park is the best hands down. 5 ways in and out of the city, never any traffic no crime. Most people are born here in Canada.😉😉
@mbeckford
@mbeckford Месяц назад
@@dmka12 1) Windermere has zero crime. This information is available on the city if Edmonton website. It is probably the safest area in Edmonton (literally) 2) They are doubling the size of Terwillegar and basically turning it into a highway. Why? Because everyone wants to be here 3) The area is diverse - if you want to live in an all white area yes move to Sherwood P. But you gotta leave the area for anything exciting. But if you want to live in an area where you have abundant shopping and restaurants - move to Windermere. 4) There are way more housing options - from 600k homes up to 10 million. People would not buy massive estate homes if there was crime 5) Windermere has river valley access and 10 times more parks 6) Windermere is 15 min away from the airport. 7) Driving into Sherwood is unsightly. You will basically see industrial plants before you drive into the area adjacent to the henday - driving into Windermere is visually appealing. There is no industrial area anywhere CLOSE to Windermere

@dmka12 what does it matter if they're born in Canada? Are you born in Canada because Canada rejects racists
@johnt7776
@johnt7776 22 дня назад
I would disagree. Magrath is a much better location. It’s a 5 minute drive to Windermere plus all the amenities you need as well. It’s quick drive to Whitemud. One really important thing is inside the Henday. Windermere is outside the henday and commute is brutal as there are only 2 paths in. Terwilligar drive and rabbit hill road is brutal during peak hours and has to service all the communities AND growing south of Henday. Traffic was brutal 5 years ago and is only worse now and getting worse.

Good video but only half story is being told here. I think people should be aware what's going on in this city. Property taxes just been increased by 10%, crime rate is higher than ever with lots of shooting everywhere. Unemployment rate is creeping up. Whenever oil price crash there has been big recession in Alberta. There's a reason why house prices has been so low for so long. Thank you!

Why is anyone advocating to live in Edmonton when not one, but two kids were killed with their parents in one year. Plus West Edmonton Mall was locked down not once, but twice within a three month span. No one is safe anymore. There is no order to the chaos. People are literally living on sidewalks. People are being attacked for not having cigarettes. People with children aren't even exempt. Back in the day people would leave you alone when you were travelling with kids, and now that's no longer the case. The fact that children are being targeted says it all.

I have lived in Edmonton for 40+ years. I have never been attacked, robbed, or accosted in any way or at any time ever. Nor have I ever been a witness to it. That is the average. The rest make the news.

Stop moving to Edmonton, go to Calgary ... I've lived here all my life , and its bad, more expensive than Toronto, loaf of bread cost 8$ , because gas is super expensive, most expensive in Canada. Trust me Calgary is the way to go. Good luck
