Check your line guides, especially the tip. Check the reel as well... Something is nicking your line.

I got the tac 40 and its awesome! The M3 was my second choice but both are great.

I've kinda been favoring the Tac40 reel. I've done picked it up a couple of times, just can't seem make myself believe that I need it yet.

I never throw big swimbaits on braid. Only mono. The stretch helps. I’ve had the same problem as you.

Maybe not use braid. I know a lot of people that actually use mono or copolymer with those big swim baits

I'd like to meet you what days you going to be at Guntersville. Fished Sunday and water was 50 rising through the day, caught them on shell beds on swimbait.

Anytime you chuck a heavy bait on straight braid there is a very good chance the knot will break, even the brand names like Power Pro. The material the braids are made from have basically no stretch so when you throw a lure and it hits its apogee the line will feel the full force and unless it's like 50+ pound braid it can snap. So use a leader with heavy lures of mono, copolymer, or fluoro so it will have some stretch or give. Saltwater surf casters will use a top shot or long leader of mono on top of braid to keep their heavy weights from snapping off.

Look at your guides real close. I've had one with a fine crack in it that was catching and cutting my line.

Looks a lil bit like a Shimano, lil bit like 13 fishing. I want to see the braking system. I’ve seen so many people talk about not using braid or braid/leader on swimbaits for the exact thing you experienced. They all seem to be using 20-30lb Pline CXX. You may give that a try. I think Rudd uses it. I feel for ya TJ, I would have had a stroke breaking off once, let alone 4 times.

Something I have learned about any swim bait is you want to use fluorocarbon instead for braid because when you get a back lash or the bait stops quickly the fluorocarbon is more lenient and it will break off less

Hey bro check the eye on the tip of your rod it may be cracked in your line will slip down in the crack in break you off it’s happened to me a lot I only buy rods with metal eyes on them so my line don’t cut the eyes no more hope you get it figured out because it looks like it’s getting pretty expensive good luck in GOD BLESS

I have the ethos hd reel not the smoothest you feel the gears as they turn but still very solid and smooth reel and great casting diatance. Totaly worth the money. $80

That happened to me with power pro a couple times but I never found out why, I just bought new power pro even tho that braid wasn’t that old so I’m still sticking with power pro because their stuff is gud

Could just be old line that sat around in the store for along time. I think the more expensive line doesn't sell as good sometimes so it sits on the shelf or inna hot ass warehouse for a couple years

Hey man, was there any abrasion on your guides? Heard sometimes the lews tp1 can have a knick or crevice on the guides that cut up the braid. Never happened to me but I ended up returning mine and got a Dobyn's rod. Great video as always. Reel looks to be nice btw!

Looks like a bantam copy 1 piece aluminum body .. definitely peacock passing break it in right..the first Generation mettle is very similar to a curado E and tough as nails and at 60$ you can beat the heck out of it and not really care .. especially if it can take it
