Best new release, for me is ‘Empress’ by yourself and the talented perfumists (not sure that’s a real word) you worked with. I’m still blown away by how much I love this, Sophie. Most fragrances I try, and I include really expensive, niche fragrances in this, need to be given time to settle on me, and I don’t love the first 20-30 mins. of them. Empress is quite literally, ‘love from first spray, with it’s beautiful, refreshing, energising, sparkly wild strawberry note, to its warm, enveloping toffee/popcorn note, blending perfectly and creating the best perfume experience, ever. This will be my Christmas Day perfume. Maybe it’s my skin chemistry, but no fragrance has ever been such a ‘right fit’ for me. Everybody knows me by it, now and I get sooooo many compliments. It’s a masterpiece, Sophie, and you shouldn’t be afraid to include it in your ‘best of’ reviews. For me, there is nothing like it. x
I never thought I’d say this but I think my favorite this year has been the LVEB Iris Absolu flanker! I thought that the world didn’t need another LVEB but I really do enjoy it!

I thought the Silk Santal is easily the best Kayali but the longevity is *terrible,* even on clothing. I’m still happy I bought two bottles blindly because it works great for fast engagements, like lunch or dinner and since the longevity is absolute trash - I don’t have to worry about it staying on a blazer or jacket that I’m not going to wash or dry clean every time I wear it. I’m not the biggest fan of Kayali and don’t particularly enjoy any others she’s released. But this wedding line is nice. As usual, the men’s version lasts longer but that’s because science made masculine leaning notes more stable and we can’t do anything about it but suck it up. However, the Silk one could‘be performed way better. It performs like a Fraiche or Toilette. So in the event in comes back in stock, keep that in mind if you’re wanting something with longevity, that won’t be it. Even if you overspray, you won’t get more than 2-3 hours on a cold day. If you’re a hot bodied person, I’d sit that one out. But man…it’s a great scent. I’m mad I even love it so much. 😂

Chanel eau fraische became my signature scent recently. The fragrance lasts an eternity on clothing. The dry down is also gorgeous. Becomes a skin scent where you’ll get subtle citrus notes at the very end on skin. On clothes, the scent stays pretty heavily citrus
i would look through her "best xyz" Perfume videos, maybe you find something! Like "best fresh/green leaves/..." it's some search work maybe but it'll pay off, I'm sure! 🌟
