Why would a mechanic be worried about giving a quote or affidavit for a court case? Unless of course what the plaintiff was asking the mechanic to claim on their official quote wasn't actually what the boat needed, or was above and beyond what the boat needs to run, thus the plaintiff was asking the mechanic to lie to the court just so the plaintiff could scam money. That would be enough to frighten many people enough to refuse to provide a quote or affidavit.

I love this show especially the dramatic intro and the mean old guy at the end.

Plaintiff was not smart in his dealing and he himself provided proof that the trailer was not included in the sale of the boat. He made him lose his own lawsuit on just hearsay. He thought he would look like a big shot with a big boat but with a small brain. .

How thick can you be, going to court with no evidence then argue with the Judge when she rules against you.

This is a good example of why to have the evidence to back up your claim on both sides and have a written contract which includes everything and have that contract with you, these 2 guys really had nothing to back up either sides case, but in the end the judge took the side of the defendant, I hope they both have learnt a valuble lesson from this, have a contract written up, have all the evidence to back you up in court if you take it to court...

Both dudes where mad at each other and then the Judge for asking them questions. You need to bring evidence to court when you sue for money returns. When you don't bring the evidence, you just wasted everyones' time including the Judge and Balliff. Shame on them both for the waste of time.

He bought a cheap boat that clearly needed work and said himself he wanted it to tinker on. I believe he got over his head not knowing how much boat work costs and most likely still owes the mechanic money and that's why he wouldn't help. He now regrets it and wanted his money back. In the end guy states he wont give the trailer back to the other guy, he has to come and get it. He was ordered to give the trailer back, not make the other guy pay someone to pick it up.
