I firmly believe that Bendela asked Bebe to lose the lipsync so she can send herself home, and just because Bebe's game was so rigged for her to win Bebe did the one thing Rupaul wouldn't allow: taking her wig off
i love how shangela thinks bendela is playing a sneaky strategy by being nice but shes literally just the sweetest human and hated sending other talented queens home
@soapisnothere I think Shangela is a fierce competitor and she always thinks somebody’s up to something lol. It’s like having a boyfriend who is a cheater but accuses you of cheating all the time…a cheater thinks everybody’s cheating, a liar thinks everybody’s lying and Shangela is always strategizing, so she thinks everybody else is doing the same lol. She just can’t help herself. Her comments reveal more about her than whoever she’s talking about!
RuPaul was speechless because someone changed the game without her approval, but she knew Ben made some of the fiercest tv entertainment. She was sad, mad, glad, and completely had.
I don't get why Trixie gets hate when she had zero control over who won. Yes, Ben and Shangela carried the season but Shangela made a lot of "enemies" during the season and Ben eliminated herself. Trixie played nice/neutral so was chosen. It's not like she pulled Alaska and threw a tantrum and tried to bribe her peers or pulled a Rolaskatox. (side note: Katya should've won AS2)
People forget that shangela made enemies and ben...well ben eleminated herself. Honestly the final 4 could have been shangela, ben, kennedy, and trixie. Maybe. The final 5 would have been them and bebe for sure. But bebe would not have won at all.
yesss agree Katya should won and Alyssa and Tatianna in final 4, but anyway, and yeah poor Trixie a terrible winner and forgetable, but there's no competition was the only choice lol... I dont even remember the final 4 in that terrible season ....
I still can’t believe that we’ve gotten executive realness as a runway category like 10 times, but they’ve never repeated the Rudemption runway on All Stars.
BenDeLACreme was so consistent. She was (for me) the Queen for that season. But, as it is written, be it. It's her decision. You're still my queen, DeLa.
Yeah, she would have won the whole game and she knew that....everyone knew that, but she got what she wantrd from it and did a noble thing to let the others shine and win and they wanted it more then her. always a great quality in a person. sad seeing ben leave, but such a nice thing to do. everyone was sad and i think shangela was felt that one the most.
@@stanclark8824 I feel like they probably wanted her out. This season was designed to give trixie a spot in the hall of fame. Even though I don’t think trixie won this season, she does deserve a spot just because of all that she’s done for drag. I bet it was scripted to have BenDeLa eliminate herself.
@@thatfishguy4991 A lot of these things seem scripted on the show. You can tell by some of the acting that they rehearsed some of the events with the girls ahead of time individually and dela eliminating herself was supposedly her own decision because once she did that the rules were changed again and ru did not expect that at all. so she made sure to stop that from happening ever again because there wasnt a rule about it. thats what i heard though. but yeah, trixie did deserve a spot, but not the win. it also seems to be based on favorites too which is why trixie won in my opinion.
@@janchrissubrio5221 yeah! I feel like part of Trixie’s appeal was that she’s one of the biggest names in the community and she didn’t even get close to winning! It’s a great reminder that drag race isn’t the only qualifier for what makes a good queen so if anything her win took away from her appeal a little bit imo Like she’s got a lot of the skill sets required for drag race but a competition never seemed like her place to shine, if that makes sense
Best way to remember Chi Chi is by remembering some of her last words: "I let it go too long without going to the doctor, and these are the consequences". Those words stuck with me. Ladies, gents, and everyone in between, let's take care of our health. If something feels off, go get it checked out. That's the most powerful message she could have left us with. No one should have to suffer like that. Let's honor her by living long, healthy lives like the one she deserved and didn't get to enjoy. If you have the opportunity to access medical assistance, please take it, so many people wish they could and so many others wish they had taken it sooner. Much love, stay hydrated, take your meds, and sleep 6-8 hours every day. You are loved, you are wanted, you matter, you're worth it, you deserve happiness.
It’s the worst when you consider it wasn’t her fault she couldn’t go to the doctor earlier. Early detection of her disease could have helped immensely. Healthcare costs are outrageous in America, and as a result Chi Chi could not access proper diagnostics and healthcare earlier.
@@RainWave13 True. It's unfortunate and infuriating how many people are in desperate need of medical assistance and have no hope of accessing it. I was without medical insurance for a few years and I'll never underestimate its importance like I used to and will fight tooth and nail to never be in that situation again. It's truly terrifying when the moment comes when you realize you may really die and there's nothing you can do about it. I was extremely lucky and privileged to be able to reach out for the help I so desperately needed, but I am very well aware of people who have nowhere to go to, and may never be able to get the treatmenr they need. We need to erradicate healthcare deserts, definitely. In the meantime, let's treat ourselves right.
Yeah. I am lucky to live in a place with public health care insurance and made use of it regular. So far I am fine and well, had some moles removed to prevent damage. Do it, whenever you can. So many diseases, like Parkinsons and MS, can be detected and treated early
@@CheshireCatSmiles Chi Chi had scleroderma, which caused severe damage to the kidneys and other organs, and that's what warranted a hospital stay, during which she contracted pneumonia, which she could most likely had survived if her organs were stronger. She didn't treat the scleroderma in time and that's how she ultimately passed.
“Some people might call me fake, but they’re a bunch of alcoholics” “I like my men like I like my coffee, incapable of loving me back” “Trixie on stage is fun and bubbly, but in real life, I’m just some boring white dude who doesn’t like hugs” LMFAOO STOP TRIXIE IS TOO ICONIC
i feel like the producers didn't expect aja to improved in a short amount of time hence why the messy random bottom/safe placement and im still confused on what happened during the warhol ball..
Aja’s Warhol Ball look is one of my favorite looks on this show. The judges were literally breaking their backs while reaching to convince us that it was bad. Trixie wore a super basic pink jump suit and won...
@@Cixon14 yet elsewhere they drop "studio 54" everytime a drag queen wears anything remotely disco. The only thing specifically wrong with Aja's look was the wig and being a millennial they're entitled to plead ignorance.
@@flanjaja she knew it was rigged for her to end up winning so she left so it would be more fair. u could tell she didnt appreciate getting top all star like every mf week . she even said once that it "wasnt her win" for a lipsync i think
It’s crazy each queen got 15 seconds on the kitty girl track. Shangela and Trixie really used that 15 seconds wisely. Both those verses are so good you’d think it was a lot longer.
Aja did really well considering she was fresh off of s9. But she was paid dust by the judges, was wrongly eliminated, and should’ve been brought back over Morgan
I felt Mariah had a similar run. Clearly production designates certain "filler queens" and even if you rise a bit above that they're ready to do away with you.
@@CASantos true that. Hell, the producers weren't ready for BenDela to go. Suddenly they had to change the tone of the next most popular queen (they deemed to be a fav) and Trixie was made a winner. The only more obvious winner was Alaska in AS2. Alaska is such a stunning queen, she wouldn't have needed the aid of the producers to win in the first place.
No. Morgan should have been brought back because that's who Dela chose.. and that was the rules of the game. How arrogant to say it was a wrong choice because you didn't like it lool
@@czhaok If they were going off track record, which is what most people do, then yes, Aja should have been brought back. But that isn't a reason to say Dela made the wrong decision, as it was her choice
the shang/dela kissed a girl lipsync is literally the most intimate, well acted, well suited to the song lipsync ive ever seen on the show. it was like they planned the whole damn thing. both are so skilled in keeping an audience its insane. the STAGE PRESENCE ugh love them
Dela had one of the most amazing track records in drag race herstory. She’s beautiful, funny and talented. One of the most amazing queens ever. I love how humble she was, eliminating herself broke my heart but to me she was just a crownless winner.
I still cry everytime I see trixies final lip sync. You can see how much the competition and drag in general means to her in that performance and the fact it isn't talked about more is a crime.
@@onelove1446 you can disagree with the decision but please don’t hate the queen. I love Trixie due to her show with Katya but I still don’t feel like she should’ve won when such power houses like dela and shangela were there, I mean they were both lip syncing against each other THREE TIMES in a row. but at the end of the day, Trixie won and everyone has to accept it.
@@onelove1446 moreover it was productions fault. Didn't the jury girls say after that they didn't even get to watch the girls' progression after they were eliminated? As much as i love shangela and was angered by her robbery, it makes sense.
@@vazidajetako Yeah but she received harsh critiques just as Shangela, her can was boring as hell and had a worst track record. Still she was the comeback queen and no one will change my mind. Morgan back? Morgone.
@@terrybyte8782 lol I think that's what it is. I can't pay attention to either of them. It was a draw for me. I wish they'd go one at a time sometimes. I like trixie and kennedy.
Trixie's face when Morgan said Kennedy's name says it all. She was absolutely convinced Shangela was going to the top 2, so she was expecting Kennedy and Shangela. Obviously her reaction to her own name is bigger, but that quick cut of her looking disappointed before her name was called is crystal clear. She had no idea she would be chosen over Shangela.
@@ryearanda she knew what she signed up for so she knew the drama would come and also you think the end vote with all the queens thing would change it's a small possibility
@@jamyabrice1450 she was prepared for the show I watched an interview with her in it the other day where she explained her decision really well. She basically said when she got to that point she was pleased with what she had accomplished and she realized she didn’t need the crown all the other remaining queens wanted it more so she eliminated herself to give all the queens the opportunity.
I think the Trixie Mattel story, and Brian Firkus' incredible work ethic, smartness, talent and drive, is extremely inspiring. She was... lackluster at best, on Season 7. She got to show little to nothing about herself to the world on the show. But afterwards, even before UNHhhh started in mid 2016, she grinded to make a name for herself. She did gig after gig, started making music, working and improving her drag and had a rather unusual aesthetic to her, which I think made her polarizing. Of course UNHhhh, and her public friendship to fan favorite Katya, I think helped show the masses of people who she is. I think Trixie was also at the right place at the right time for her elevations. Around Seasons 7, 8, and All Stars 2, the Drag Race universe saw a major influx of watchers and fans, coming in from more mainstream outlets. All of a sudden, actors on Grey's Anatomy, Breaking Bad and major theatre productions on Broadway are watching them, and people in the mainstream or the non LGBTQ+ dominated spheres were consuming them; consuming _drag_ . T & K became RU-vid stars, on top of becoming drag ambassadors for many people, which pushed them into a place where drag didn't strongly occupy. Only a few queens managed to reach similar heights before them (Alyssa, Willam, Shangela, Bianca) and besides Ru all of them haven't touched where T & K are now. All of that, is why I'm content with Trixie Mattel winning All Stars 3 over Kennedy Davenport.
This. Every All Stars winner also has major success out of All Stars and I think the entire package they present (on and off drag race) plays a role in whether they’ll win or not.
@@ait8551 so confused on why they thought Shangela was so incompetent so all they made her do was walk around and lip sync to comedy skit, she doesn’t need a push and neither did Ben, the others just needed a fair chance
I am not agree at all. Shangela body language was so good and funny. Ben lipsync was more difficult than others and she did it amazing. The best actors won here.
Girl, I finally started watching Drag Race at the end of last year and I was SCREAMING at the tv when I got to BenDeLa’s self-elimination. It was all I wanted to talk about for weeks lol
I had no idea Chi Chi passed. Damn. She was such a light. So fun, hilarious and a heart of absolute gold. My heart is sad reading this. We will never forget Zavions legacy and charismatic soul. And that beautiful smile. ❤️🌹
Seeing Shangela not even get the chance to fight for the crown is one of the moments in RPDR that breaks my heart every time I watch it. You can see her struggle with it…and then she recovers. A real fighter. I love Trixie Mattel but Shangela is the one who triumphs in this moment.
Agreed. Shangela deserved to lip sync alongside Trixie during the final run. Kennedy was good, but he was meh compared to season 7. I know it was the jury's verdict to select the finalists, and Shangela was a bit shady towards the other drag queens.
You can see how shocked Trixie was when Shangela wasn't called for the final lip sync, in the interview with the jury she literally said that she thinks Shangela should be in the top 2. I really wish we got a Trixie vs Shangela lip sync.
BenDeLaCreme....the most iconic legend to grace RPDR stage with her charisma uniqueness, nerve and talent. Iconic without having to be a b!tch to others or be bragging every opportunity she got. Love her
The final lip sync was amazing... Both of them owned it... Having said that, Trixie's minimalistic approach blew me away. The emotion shined through and overpowered Kennedy's sick moves.
I agree with you, Trixie usually doesn’t convey much emotion during lipsync! It was a deserved win, although I feel as though this season was overproduced and robbed a lot of people, for example: thorgy & aja.
@@JoeyMartz Yes !! A good example on how thorgy was robbed was for the variety show, she played so beautifully and everyone ignored her REAL talent; just sad
I'm so glad Chi Chi decided to do AS3 even if she didn't do as well as the other girls, she showed her drag and has inspired thousands and showed everyone that you can do anything if you put your mind to it and that everyone is unique and different and that's beautiful. REST IN POWER LEGEND
BenDeLaCreme: breathes RuPaul: congratulations, you're one of the top all stars of this week Edit: it's a joke btw. I love DeLacreme. Don't try to come for me in the comments
Honestly, this season was FULL of some of peoples favorite queens in their seasons. Every single queen here is a heavy hitter, especially with their personalities.
Tbh All Stars 3 would have been a great season if it wasn't so overproduced, although I don't hate Trixie for winning as when it was announced Shangela would not be in the top 2 I knew for certain Trixie would win, as much as I love Kennedy there was no way in hell she would win with that track record
@@daniel6678 that wig removal was deliberate not to impress the judges but to make her lose so as DeLa will be given the win. Aja's confessional was on point, it was a bad reveal, and it worked.
Eh, I see it more as "If I let her win and she eliminates herself, then the biggest competitor is gone, and I have a better shot at winning" rather than "Dela wants to leave, I should let her since I'm a great friend."
Bebe was winning until she took the wig off. There is a rumour that production asked her to lose that one (because obviously Dela sending herself home is a bigger gag). Anyways I'm pretty sure that if Bebe did do well they'll just pull a Trixie/Kennedy and edit her badly because no way was Dela not winning that lipsync
Bendela quitting after being on the top the entire time, just to prove that she is a great enternainer all around is such a comendable power move. She would have won if she didn't quit and she prove that she is super talented
@@CreativeCreatorCreates ok? No one asked also Bebe red look and flowers were one of the best looks in all of all stars so take your hate somewhere else
@@gabrielaegas5005 in hopes to stay relevant. Who remembers l queens from all seasons? Hell, I don't remember half the cast of AS6 ever being on drag race!
Trixie looks like a giant compared to the female dancers. I tend to forget that they are tall guys dressed like gals(for the most part. Non binary and trans queens aside)
Aww they missed out a couple good reads. Dela to Aja "No matter how well-lighted everyone else is, you always looked like you're standing under that one flickering light in a haunted hospital" Trixie to Bebe: "Heavy is the head that wears the crown. And heavier is the body"
even if she won every challenge there’s no way she would’ve won the season lmao aja is not winner material at all and she’s not much of an all star when compared to what the other queens did outside of the show x
ive always had the conspiracy that Ben told Bebe she was writing her own name in (there is no way bebe didnt see her) and she told Bebe is was in her best interest to throw the lipsync so thats why bebe took her wig off and why she wont say who she picked to go home.
Well this makes a lotta sense and is probably true there ain’t no way bebe didn’t see her writing or at least doing something more than just picking a lipstick
The emotion on Trixie's face during the last lip sync... She is what we imagine ourselves to look like as we perform to the shampoo bottles and soap in our shower.
This was the first all stars I watched live, and I always adored Dela and Trixie. Dela leaving and Trixie performing wrecking ball both bring a lump to my throat. This and AS2 (and seasons 3-6 of course) I my favourites to rewatch.
The way they edited it makes it feel a lot worse than it actually was. It wasn’t great but it could’ve been edited to not be a bottom placement. That’s kind of the nature of snatch game though-almost every snatch game could be edited to have a totally different outcome, which is why it’s one of my least favorite challenges.
This was going like one of the bestest drag race seasons ever, and then, after BenDeLa eliminates herself it goes so wrong. Aja not coming back, the queen chosen is eliminated on the next episode, and finally the most saddest thing: Shangela not being able to be in the top 2. This was so homophobic.
You can tell that all of them weren’t expecting Trixie to win, including trixie, but to be fair the Queen that comes back usually never stays past the first episode
@@eltipidemalaguero Symone won a lot of challenges. She and Rosé were the only two that deserved final 4 on S13 though.
