he couldnt have moved as he was in the number 1 lane already. also thats a kia soul with a 1.6, ive driven those, at 70, there isnt much in the gunning it department. but i also will say, he let his ego get the better of him at the thought of the chrysler getting in front of him. he sped up while the chrysler was coming over, meaning he intended to try and block them out, even when it was clear that the chrysler was not going to stop, he still failed to properly slow his vehicle down, he tried to pass on the shoulder with his left side in the dirt and started loosing control... the chrysler at best was on the hook for improper lane change... but the kia hes on the hook for reckless endangerment before we even get to the offramp where he inevitably crashed.

@@compzac Agreed, he sped up to stop the Chrysler from making the lane change and almost lost it on the debris covered shoulder, Then cut across two lanes of high speed traffic blindly= (assumed), Almost went head on with the car at the off ramp. At the end admitted he had a few more incidents after going off the road at the end of the clip (including head on with a tree. If the people on the off ramp would have left the house 1 second later that day; he may have killed someone.

It’s really typical of Texas drivers. They don’t let you in like they’re supposed to even if you’re running out of room. The law will tell you that you should absolutely halt before going in if there’s no room but then if there’s an accident, you could be found at fault because you were “going too slow.” Yield means watch out and find a good time to merge, not give me right to be an asshole and make it impossible for them to merge just to whine about an accident.

That's San Antonio for you. I only was there for two weeks visiting people there and I've never felt so unsafe in traffic in a country from the West.
