+Austin Evans Hey Austin. Did you get to see Samsungs modular displays? It BLEW my mind when I saw your buddy Linus's coverage of those displays. First he showed off a slightly smaller display breaking off into 8 square displays and theb into 4 tall portrait ultrawide displays. But here is the real mindfuck: he then showed a larger what looked liek a standard 65" TV made out of a pair of the larger modular displays showing some normal 16:9 aspect ratio footage and then it broke apart both halves of the screen ROTATED 90 DEGREES and came back together formign an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio screen showing footage shot in that aspect ratio. If that aint mindblwing to you man, I don't know what is. Just think of how cool it would be to have a TV that can do that in your living room. It is purely a concept for now but it could actually be a real thing in the future and I can think of a situation where the modular TV would be a perfect fit for rright away: the home theater. Just think of having a really badass 7.4 home theater setup with really good speakers from a well-known brand like klipsch or infinity and having that samsung modular screen as the centerpiece? it would be the perfect fit cause if you watched say a classic 4:3 aspect ratio film one half of the screen could go away and the other haf would rotate 90 degrees to fit the movie perfectly, or you can hae it be 16:9 for like the big game or anything that is shot in that aspect ratio (even your vids) or a film shot in the 21:9 aspect ratio where both halves woudl roatate the 90 degrees to form the ultrawide screen for those movies. It is the perfect situation for a modular screen. get one screen and all 3 aspect ratios. just get 2 large panels to make liek a 90" screen in 16:9 and you would have a really good basis to start your home theater off of. That is if and when they will come to the market.
Danté Same with me in Hungary. If I spell my name Dante they will call me "Dant'eh", so I used to spell my name Danté instead. Interesting to see I'm not alone!
Half an inch THICK!!! NOT THIN. OMG things have THICKNESS, NOT THINNESS. This is all crap marketing created by Apple, by saying "oh look, our new device is so many mm thin", just to avoid saying the word "thick"...
You're right, but, is it that big of a deal? It's like when we say how cold it is outside for dramatic effect when really there's no such thing as cold, just lack of heat.
Hey Austin, in that shot at 0:15, you can avoid that stuttering effect on the computer screen by setting your shutter speed to match up with the refresh rate of the monitor.
So far in my life I haven't went to a gaming convention. I'm defiantly am missing out! Asides from that, I'd love to try out the Orpheus, LG Gram 15 and the 8K TV where my eyes will be jizzing every second when looking at it.
Austin, do you think people should purchase the Razer Core to increase gaming performance on their laptops now that the Razer Core has been announced at $499?? Or do you think people should wait for a second gen version or a sale?
Hey Austin! I have a video request! Could you do a screen cast of your editing process or the highlights of the editing process as it probably takes forever! Thank you for your videos!
I have never bought any razer laptops, but with the price of the razer blade stealth being so reasonable and the laptop being a fairly powerful laptop for the price. I may actually consider grabbing one at some point
Much more interested in the Asus ultrabook+gpu set up than the razer one. a little annoying that everyone keeps talking about the razer but barely anyone showed the Asus setup. When details come out for the Asus I hope it gets covered a little more.
Ive been watching so many Linus Tech Tips vidseos on CES that I was a bit surprised when this one wasnt sponsored by "Squarespace" , "Squarespace BUILD IT BEAUTIFUL!"
Hey Austin You may not see this but... I have a question for you Which smartphone camera would you choose if you had to look through one for the rest of ur life?
isn't the CPU of the razer blade stealth going to be a major bottleneck? I'm thinking of buying one but if the CPU isn't that good then there's no reason in investing in the laptop + the core.
In theory, isn't "8k" 4K? Because all the resolutions have been named from their height, not width. Like 1920x1080 isn't called 2k, it's called 1080p, which is the width. So wouldn't 4K be the 8K resolution if it was named from the height?
+Zyler Walsh I didn't know about the laptop part but yeah I can't remember the last time apple invited something good. I guess the 3d touch on the computer pad and iphone screen will be the future.
