A video compilation of Fenslerfilm's best G.I. Joe PSAs. Public Service Announcements were shown as short animated clips at the end of each G.I. Joe episode with the intent of conveying safety-related messages to young audiences. Enjoy!
To who ever made this video I just want you to know that me and 8 friends have been quoting this for close to fifteen years. We know it word for word and it will never not be funny. We’ve always wanted to meet who ever made this. Best video ever
The fact this video is still on RU-vid give me a tiny smidgen of hope for the future. Thank you, everyone responsible, for keeping this precious piece of history preserved for all time.
The early/mid-2000s were such a golden age of weird internet humor like this. I mean people still make oddball jokes on the internet today but it's usually just lazy, low-effort memes and gifs and shit like that. The amount of work and committment people used to put into surreal internet comedy like this back in the day was really something else, especially considering how non-user-friendly most editing software was at the time.
totally agree. someone at work mentioned these PSAs on a teams call today, I hadn't watched these in at least 10 years. I'm old enough to have been around when these first came out. the old internet was full of amazing offbeat bizarre humour like this.
Back then people appreciated random, nonsensical humor more. It's the stuff you pull from your ass that sometimes shines the best. It was like doing improv but the internet way.
That guy in the green coat and hat was actually giving some pretty solid advice that only an adult can give. Trying to save the kid some time, money, and embarrassing moments. Then realizes "he's a kid and he needs to find out some of this stuff on his own." Great bit.
I saw these things back in the early 2000's and it is the FUNNIEST SHIT I HAVE EVER SEEN. Unfortunately most of my friends do not have my sense of humor and think they are just dumb.
Luckily I had friends who all loved this kind of stuff when this was relatively new (watched on Ebaums World, of course). At least with the internet, you can find all us weirdo's who find this shit still funny after all these years. I was an 17-18 year old when I first watched it, still funny as a 31 year old.
Yeah, this video (along with MANY others) are only funny to those who originally viewed them back when "funny" was low-res videos of people getting hit in the dick. Don't get me wrong, I STILL like watching people get hit in the dick...But only if it's a .gif, and presented as a cascade on a singular website.
These were memorized & recited in my house for many MANY years. Still are when the siblings n sht get together. These are the epitome of comedy for my teenage self and nothing has come close to entertaining me that much since.
tylerdurden3891 Oh no kiddin..its one of those sacred tests, like Ariplane, Vacation, Christmas Vacation, Back to School, Office Space, 16 Candles, Point Break, Scarface, Star Wars, Schwarzenegger, Step Brothers, Zoolander, the Simpsons, Family Guy. Basically you don't know these, then we're not friends Captain: Ever been in a cockpit before? Joey: No sir, I've never been up in a plane before. Captain: Ever …seen a grown man naked?
I feel proud to know growing up in the 80’s as a huge GI Joe fan, having watched every episode and stupid PSA multiple times also watching these PSA remakes over the years, that I will always find these way funnier than anyone younger than me who didn’t. You had to be there to truly appreciate these.
Man, the ice skating one is just SO PERFECT. From the "Last one there's a penis-pump" to the "AW FUCK". It's a masterpiece. The best of it's kind! 6/10 -IGN
"You know it's funny, these people, they go to sleep. They think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire" I don't know why this is so god damn funny.
Yeah. It's only been one or two years for me this time. Just decided I better download it with the way things are going on the internet. "What's up dawg?"
Today is January 14th, 2021. I turn 30 in 4 days. I first found these clips when i was 15 and let me tell you.. IM STILL LAUGHING JUST AS HARD AS I DID BACK THEN. I NEEDED THIS. THANK YOU OP.
+Steven Aguilera they laugh and join in with a Porkchop Sandwiches comment. I showed them the video, of course. How could anyone not think this is funny? :)
I just came back here because I found myself for some reason saying"give him the stick no don't give him the stick OOOOOOOOOOOO" while checking out at the grocery store as the credit card machine was arguing with me
"Hey guys. Ah, you know it's funny, these people, they go to sleep. They think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire."
Me and my brother used to watch this all the time and laugh so much. Still quote it every now and then. Still great 15 years later. Pork chop sandwiches!!!
I've kinda been saddened by the fact that not much seems to make me laugh anymore these days, but this literally had me laughing until I had tears pouring out of my eyes and I couldn't breathe. Thank you so much for this.
Raptor Dave Oh shit, get the fuck out of here! What are you doing? Go, get the fuck out of here, you stupid idiots! Fuck, we're all dead! Get the fuck out!
You know a "Best Of" series is good when it contains every piece of original material. These videos defined a good portion of my teenage years. You all feel the same way.
One of the things I love about these videos today is the pure mystery that comes from watching them. These pre-date the creation of RU-vid, and we really don't know much about their creation besides that they were created by some graphics artist named "Eric Fenser" in early 2003 (possibly even earlier). They were originally passed around via VHS tapes and USB sticks in college dorms before eventually some found they're way on Ebaums world. Beyond that we don't know if they're all just gibberish, inside jokes for other people, or actually referencing something. "Eric Fenser" appears that it might actually be a stage-name or pseudonym, so the identity and creation of these videos is unknown. Its like some sort of ancient artifact of internet history. They just sort of.....exist....
Nah man, he’s from the Chi and was a contributor to Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Good Job! He also did some spot work on Sealab 2021, but his pal Doug Lussenhop really was a guiding hand in getting him onto the Adult Swim circuit. This isn’t new information, but yeah, the early 2000’s definitely saw a reclusive explosion of oddball creativity that seemed like a fever dream (and/or a hallucinogenic wasteland).
i was born in '05 and this video tore me to shreds, i find it hilarious. i think it's funny for everyone but i do agree that 80's kids might have more of an attachment to it
The dawn of real online gaming and amazingly daft parodies including GI Joe and counter strike. CS central was legendary 21 years old at the time Take me back there 👌
