I love this whole thing of game grumps, and especially this compilation since it was about 90% Danny just telling amazing stories about his teenage years
"Hey Walk Friend, can you go walk over there and get my coffee? I can do one of those things! Wanna guess witch one it is? It's the walking! Sorry, not programmed for humor." My favorite part.
This is undoubtedly my favorite game grumps series. Funny as shit and my favorite game! Reminds me of playing this in 2004 with my buds for the first time.
Regalia Wasn't the dad killed in a shoot out with Space Pirates? And the mother died to protect Samus from Ridley. That death happened in front of her.
I went back to it the other day. The sheer thrill of playing this again is amazing. It's as good, if not better than ever. The best game on SNES (and therefore better than anything on Mega Drive too 😜) without a doubt in my own mind. Link to the Past, Mario World, Mana and Earthbound can scrap for the places behind it.
This has been one of the most laugh-filled hour-somethings of my life. Sometimes it was too much. Luckily the ambulance arrived quickly. Thanks for the edit, I can tell it must have took you a while.
1:02:31 I read about a National Guardsman from Ohio closely post-9/11 who legally had his name changed to Optimus Prime. Said it was because Optimus was more of a father figure to him than his own father, if I recall correctly
ODB's Wikipedia page is fantastic. "Also known as: ODB, BZA, Ason Unique, Osirus, The Specialist, Dirt McGirt, Big Baby Jesus, Young Dirty, Ol' Dirty Blocks, Dirt Dog, RJ Tha Mad Specialist, Joe Bananas, Tha Ol' Dirty Chinese Restaurant"
Thanks for posting this! It was too painful to watch all the episodes, because I know the main route so well, but it's great to hear the jokes and stories.
I was yelling so hard at the screen when Arin was using Super Missiles on Phantoon, it makes him freak out and makes him more difficult when you do that xD He should have done the X Factor strat, but then again, I don't think Arin even knows that the Charge Beam works on these bosses xD
27:58 this story made no sense to me at first until I remembered the USA drinking age is 21, when I turned 18 I went out clubbing and had some cheap cocktails but mainly spent my time talking to the buskers on the street. If you were stopped by the police it meant someone thought you were being a drunk nuisance and called on you or you were drunk driving.
As a black kid growing up in Georgia around the time D4L was big it makes me smile hearing that Dan actually likes the song Laffy Taffy. CANDY GIRRRRLL 🍭
For god sake, I just wanna find the part where Dan googles the Samus hentai. Not for sexual reasons of course, if I wanted that right now I'd just go to google, I just wanna watch the reactions again.
I tried to access that onion article about really bad slogans but I don't know whether it's because I'm on my phone or anything but I just keep getting bombarded with other articles but... It's out there for people with patience, or desktops.
Love seeing Samus turn put on the Inviso-Suit JUST while she rides the elevator. (I know why it really happens but it's funny to think she does it on purpose, in a dumb humor way)
Oh obviously it's just dealing with authorities I'm assuming. It's like a 15 minute drive to Gatineau Quebec where the age there is 18 so I guess I'm just used to being able to buy it myself idk.
David Mason 21 years to PURCHASE. There actually isn't a law stating a minimum drinking age. Everyone just assumes there is one. I've been drinking wine since I was 13.
37:05 And that lesson was quickly forgotten, and Dan and Arin went on to spew non-sense, never fact checking, or simply saying the words, "I don't know," for the rest of their lives.
