Terry is like the good stepdad who stepped up and raised the kids and Holt is the dad who only just found out he has kids and is trying to make up for lost time because he would have been there if only he had known. They are trying to co-parent as best as they can.
Holt and Terry are the most mature once in the squad, yet nearly every storyline between them is rather childish. Holt and Rosa are completly emotionless, yet nearly every storyline between them is rather emotional.
Terry and holt : fight over toy trains Terry and jake : terry babysits jake Rosa and holt : "... i think i might be prengnant." - "oohh, n- noo, no no."
Neither are emotionless: Holt has serious emotional control, Rosa puts on an act, masking her emotions. Complete opposites yet outwardly the same to an average onlooker. Holt is emotionally mature af, in that he rarely allows them to control his actions and thinking. Terry is emotionally mature in that he’s honest about them. Rosa is immature because she constantly denies and tries to run from her feelings, putting on the “tough” act, until Holt unashamedly brings them to light. He is her emotional coach overall. Terry is the more emotionally extroverted person between him and Holt, so it’s natural Holt - being the superior person in emotional control - takes on the “father” role. At least that’s what I get from it - just my opinion.
I love this kind of video. Holt with Terry, Holt with Rosa, Holt with Amy, Holt with Charles, Holt with Gina, Holt with Jake, Holt with Rosa, Holt with Kevin, Holt with Wunch, Holt with Scully and Hitchcock ... I just like Holt
I feel like you're a kid. Are you kid? If you are, you have good taste in tv shows bud. Stay in school. If you are not, I found this comment very cute. Bless your heart.
agreed. i know the majority of people think holt and rosa have the best relationship, but i actually enjoy terry and holt way more. they have clashing personalities when it comes to humor and emotions, yet the same sense of duty for the job, the same way of trolliong people, and the same level of pettiness when they think someone wronged them. it makes every single one of their interactions so damn great.
Holt and Terry may be or may not be best friends, but they're definitely the true mentor and mentee. The detectives admire Holt's professionalism and legacy but Holt sees Terry as his true successor of being the captain, not just as people of colour or the immediate second-in-command, but because of his leadership as the person everybody relies on in the precinct in time of his absence.
"Another box with a question, another box with a question mark, yet another box with a question mark then a box with a question mark. What does it mean?" "It means you don't have emojis on your phone."
spreadsheet, spreadsheet. crime, crime. precinct, precinct. literally the most underrated holt-jeffords interaction and i will forever treasure this scene
How am i being cringe? I just didnt see the other comments talking it about it as much so I decided to comment that. What a hater.@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849
I love that you can probably take any two characters and make one of these. there's not a single relationship in that precinct that isnt explored to some extent
They should have put scenes from the roof top from the the racist episode where they developed a stronger camaraderie for their job and each other’s personal struggle. I loved that scene
Did anyone else notice at 6:11 that during the first wide shot the Mexican restaurant is in Jeffords Junction, however in the second wide shot it's missing again?
Well actually no because anybody exposed to the bomb in nagasaki was most likely instantly incinerated and also it happened over half a century before when this show takes place.
I bet Sheldon would really have a good time with Captain Holt. Wanna see how their conversations go😂. That too we should leave them discussing about Trains.. !!
