@@malagrug4326 Its underground but stronger than ever. Skate companies have more business than they can handle. 2020 saw a worldwide skate shortage basically. Shops werent stocked for the demand. BRINK- SOUL SKATERS!

@@Habeev07 you're right, i stopped blading for about 10 years and decided to get back into it. Buying a pair was VERY hard, and I live in the UK. Just watched brink again a couple nights ago haha. "Soul skaters, together there is NOTHING we can't do"

"all they did was spin" lol like that was nothing, it's not spinning it was flips as well as spinning and grabs, they don't really have an object they can jump off, like skateboarding/bmx/scooter, with blades they are attached, it's tough shit you HAVE to land or bail BIG, with skateboarding it's so much easier to jumpoff. I do both and skateboarding basics are harder, but because inline you can go SOOO much faster, it's more dangrous and I love the speed.

Chris Mousdale its called inline skating! I dont wanna be a smart ass, but rollerblade is just 1 brand and usually people mean quad skating or roller skating by that term :)

Julian Koschmurat rollerblading is basically the same as inline but roller skating is the quad skates

@@fettigeredgar Rollerblading is another name for Inline Skating jeez. Rollerblading is also a brand name but the sport is called Rolerblading because it sounds cooler too.

Blading could be back in the XGames before we know it. XGames YT channel just celebrated Fabiola Da Silva- the greatest female rollerblader ever imo. Blading is making a huge resurgence with the COVID hiatus. All skate companies were sold out of skates. There is a shortage. The influx of capital should get things mainstream again.

I skateboard and inline, and usually have more fun blading. It's lame so many skateboarders are taught to and feel the need to hate on it. They're the ones missing out.

There were more than enough skaters at the time, even more than today. The owners just happened to have a big fight with Arlo Eisenberg and were simultaneously not profiting enough off of the sport, as BMX and planking were more popular and making all of the money, getting all of the screen time already.

Skating is a lifestyle. Skateboarding/planker wanking is a trend for the majority, only a few actually live it. Stay in your lane. Don't betray your roots.

the skateboarders can easily land on their knees as that's the standard way to fall, but on blades it's either land it or fall like a ragdoll I guess

@@ElleSeven I'm pretty sure they can more easily land on their knees on vert. I think when doing mega ramp tricks on skateboard it's easier to land on your knees because you fall off your skateboard and your shoes grab the floor, throwing you forward, whereas on rollerblades you have nothing to grip the floor and you naturally slide out and fall on your ass/back. Another reason they don't land on the raw ramp might be because they don't get nearly as much time to practice their tricks on the mega ramp, and thus they are way more likely to fall than a skateboarder.
