The great Joydev Saab was one of the brightest jewels in the World Of Hindustani Film Music ! Although he had composed music for comparatively lesser number of films than his contemporaries of the likes of the great Madan Mohan Saab, S.D Barman Saab, Salil Chowdhury Saab and C. Ramchandra Saab, to name a few, Joydev Saab was able to offer quite a number of epoch-making masterpieces to the World Of Hindustani Films because of their high aesthetic value and rich content ! Soothing and soulful music was the hallmark of Joydev Saab ! The great Joydev Saab had inscripted his name with the letters of gold in the history of the Hindustani Film Music through his incredible compositions ! To be very brief, we owe a lot to Joydev Saab for having enthralled us for years through his peerless creations ! Personally speaking, I consider his masterpiece --- " Hum Zindagi Ki Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya"--- from the film 'Hum Dono' sung by the great Muhammad Rafi Saab as my all time favourite ! Legend Jaidedev was Great Sonthen Music Director ! He was one of best arranger and Musician of SD Bermanda. After enough struggle he was about enter as Music Director, he was called by his ill father. He has assured his dying father that he will raise his young step brothers. He stayed back for years together with them. Came back after pretty long period and became wonderful music director!

I am very ardent follower of all old Indian Music Directors. What I have observed in Jaidev's music is he has used more of Indian Musical Instruments in all his songs. Moreover his music was like a nectar in a flower. can not be seen but only felt.

A good effort by Saregaa to bring out a wonderful collection of very talented composer Shri Jaidev . But I find many notable compositions are left behind . .songs from Reshma Aur Shere are conspicuously missed . Similarly Jaidev produced gem of songs in the film Kinare Kinare but none of the songs is included . Mukesh 's number "Jab Game Ishq statata hai to hans leta hoon " is arguably one of them top five commpostions of them then composer . Saregaa would do well to include some more memorable hits of Jaidev .

Jaidev, very good music director worked as assistant of s.d.burman, the great music director for many years. He gave us so many hit songs in limited films he gave music. I still remember he gave musical lighter music in hum dono and still it's music is famous. All these selected songs proovs the talent of jaidev as music director.

A true musician without ego and wealth he is known to sleep on floors and drink water from surahis; a man so simple could create gems like Kabhie khud pe and Ek akele is sahar me etc. They don't make geniuses like him anymore.

What s great,knowledgable n talented composer!Was assistant to Sachin Dev Burmans since early fifties.Used mostly Indian instruments for his recorded n composed songs.👍👌💐

Incredible, I have been listening to these gems for couple of decades and crediting the composition to another music director. Some of these compositions especially my favourites from 'Gamam' and 'Gharonda' is soul stirring numbers. Sometimes numbers are remembered but the people behind it is probably not so popular like other musicians. Thank you Jaidev Sir! May God bless you where ever you are ! Namaste 🙏

Punjab has given us 2 music directors.Legend ROSHAN from West Punjab and Jaidev from east Punjab.Mohd Rafi,Shamshad Begum,Suraiya also belonged to Punjab.Raj Kapoor,Dilip Kumar,Sunil Dutt,Dev Anand, Dharmendra were from Punjab

Wonderful upload. Jaidev and Khayyam were two composers who always preferred quality over quantity They composed less, but whenever they composed the quality of songs composed by them always shined through.. In fact, I thought Aap ki yaad aati rahi was composed by Khayyam.

Ramayan serial music was by Shri Ravindra Jain, not Shri Jaidev

The so-called "Unknown" or less popular musicians of the past were much better than the so-called top musicians of today. You can imagine what a tough competition used to be at that time in presence of giants like Burmans, OP, Madan Mohan, Shanker Kaisan, KalyanAnandji and LP.
