I don't even play dota and I love this guy. He gives zero fucks about anyone else's delicate sensibilities. Wish we had more hosts like him in the esports community.
I don't know what exactly has happened and it doesn't matter anymore, but I'm certain that a big number of people have been watching the events because of him. I certainly did. A big loss for Valve.
I stopped watching when they did fire him. I love him, and this guy Slacks was so fucking annoying, its not like he was doing it on purpose though, but I get this feeling watching him. James was pure gold just being himself :d
What happened was that 2GD was always known for being a huge troll, but very entertaining as well. Just look at James face at 0:46, how both of them just took the bait, hook line and sinker. Thats all James. People loved watching him for that, and he was most one of the most popular casters across multiple games, if not the most popular due to the simple fact that he had a personality. Being offensive and saying controversial shit was his schtick. Valve knew this befpre hireing him for the Shanghai Majors. Icefrog himself even told 2GD that he should just act like himself, like he always does cause thats whats expected. So James did that, Valve got pissed and he got fired.
I come here like a trespasser of a cemetary, i come to light a candle of a person who was too good for showbusiness. Like that of a burning candle a tear is falling from my cheek, to honor the cheekiest.
Rock Lee The Thomas The Tank Engine Fan 2GD is more savage than Thorin. Thorin still praise some players who hate him and defend players who hated by CSGO community. but james savages pedal is always on full throtle . what I always remember from thorin is when he made video defending flusha. and praising get_right even totte seems don't like him
I tried to get back to watching dota tournaments, but it's been so fucking sanitized by now. No more raunchyness and it's no longer edgy. It's been tailored for a classical TV format, which is not what esports and it's root fanbase are about. Digging their own grave.
