I’m level fucking 5 this mission is damn near impossible for me i gave up and I’m literally getting jumped and killed but every fucking npc in the basement fuck that I’m done
I'm at level 32 and got crushed with the ebony bow and arrow, and the ebony great sword (fine). After a few tries I searched through my weapons list forgetting the Sanguine Rose I'd obtained. After trying the staff, it makes a God named Dremora Kynreeve appear and kills everyone in seconds.. 😅 Best help I've had all game!

Did anyone else die repeatedly get spawned back at the main door and then have every single freaking NPC that wants to kill you spawn on top of you? Just me? Ok
I did part of this mission at an earlier stage on playthrough 2 for New Game Plus. I was at level 81 or so and my opponents were level 83 or whatever and there were more of them and unless I did as a hint told me to ride my horse passed everyone and get to Ves right away, she would die, and that turned out to be true. Both Ves and I nearly died. My armor was crappy and I would die with practically one single hit. Now with that part out of the way Roche should be easily convincible to join the cause, but he is in the city of Novigrad now near the roof of the most expensive brothel in the North of the city nearest the top elevation there. I cannot find the correct stairway or ladder to get up high enough in that building to even talk with him. I wanted to see how to navigate there to even get to see him.

i thought this video would be helpful because of what the comments were saying but you literally didn’t explain anything. didn’t show how to get to certain areas and the random cuts in the video are so unnecessary and just cause confusion
This quest in buggy for me playing on the switch. I could help it by leaving the yellow circle and kill some drowners. Then the position of the girl was corrected and i was able to use my witcher sense again.
For everyone who forgot about giving items to the elf : Put the game at the Easiest difficulty and try to at least beat one of the guards with your fist to get his weapon/armor so that you can beat it without stealth
Ahaaaa, you had to save the bugger. So thats why I couldnt exit this damn map. Also, its a shame you cant run this through stealthy. There is always some guard in the way or someone you have to kill.
