The biggest issue is that Joel is a fiscal conservative, and is loud about his conservative views on twitter. Where this strikes a nerve with the community is that the company (and as a result, the fanbase) is largely liberal. Joel rarely says anything flat-out offensive, but the people he vocally supports tend to. It's landed him in hot water a few times.
Apparently whoever is running this company never paid attention, otherwise they would know Joel has always been a paranoid conspiracy freak, and that’s why people loved him. Who cares if he loved trump. He was also famously screaming about putting all your money into gold. Back in the day we laughed it all off. Now they ruined his career to punish him, over nothing. And he’s not the only one that got booted for no reason. Jeremy, Matt, countless others. And Joel was a founding member. Makes me shudder thinking of Geoff, Matt, and Gus’ fate. At least Burnie got out on his own terms.
noooo, he definitely did. Dont get me wrong I'll miss him as caboose, nobody can voice him better, but from personal accounts from other roosterteeth members, Joel kinda got what was coming. There were several times he apparently made racist comments towards members of roosterteeth (and not even in a jokey way) and was also just a dick to nearly everyone else who worked there :/
I often wonder where he is and how he’s doing. Always dream of him returning someday but they finally recast caboose. They made a huge fucking mistake.

Basically he said if Gavin doesn’t want a gun then he deserves to have his house broken into, then his house was actually broken into and the invader had a gun. @@succumbtothebutter1972 Basically, Joel stopped comiing into the office, and moved to LA (for some god knows reason since he's a conservative/Libertarian), and eventually got into political fights with Jack Patillo over antifa shit during the 2020 summer riots, and eventually stopped doing Caboose VA so they let him go. I am still a joel fan, but he had his feet out the door of RT for years, probably the second Burnie left, and RT was more than in the right to fire him.
If I'd been on the fish episode, I would have had a completely different answer for Border Balls. At camp we were canoing and a beaver jumped into the canoe 30 or 40 meters from shore and jumped on my friends back I beat it with the paddle for maybe 30 seconds til it jumped out, tryed not to hit my friend stab hitting it in the head which was beside my buddy, I didnt want to strangle it cause panic sctrach it was clamped on. I just hit that thing letting it know I wouldnt stop smacking its head til it left. Few scratches on shore but deep nail marks, it never bit.
