@@mattbarker336 It happened to both, they have that in common, apart from "Spaceballs". Rick Moranis and Michael Winslow both (semi-)retired after their wives passed away and they decided to take care of their children first. Great men, both of them.
He is met him at comic con once he saw camera he couldn’t stop talking about it how he use be photographer love taking pictures all talking about camera I forgot ask him if he be doing any more stuff I can watch 3 hour movie of him alone doing stuff
Michael Leslie Winslow is an American actor, comedian and beatboxer billed as The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects for his ability to make realistic sounds using only his voice. He is best known for his roles in all seven Police Academy films as Larvell Jones. He has also appeared in Spaceballs, Cheech and Chong's Next Movie and Nice Dreams, The Love Boat, and commercials for Cadbury and GEICO.
This video is highly underarred, to think someone had to sit through every single Police Academy movie to find these gems is an incredible achievement, thank you Sir/Madam.
@@ChriZd3luXe I think.... It's been a long time since I've sat down and watched a Police Academy flick, so it's hard to pin point where it started to go wrong.
Thank you for saying that, one of my favorites too, I couldn’t stop laughing so hard, WHEEZED even, sides hurting and all, he’s a GENIUS when it comes to king fu dubbing, he never disappoint!🤣😂😂🤣😂
“Damn you. You want to fight, get ready for an ass kicking”. Love how he moves his lips for a few seconds, no sound then you hear talking but no lip movement, just like the Japanese and Chinese martial arts movies that are heavily dubbed with English subtitles.
I do miss the days of Hollywood making genuine unapologetic comedies.... The Police Academy movies weren't masterpieces and they probably made one or two too many, but there is something to be said for just going for a laugh... and Michael Winslow / Larvell Jones was always just going for a laugh.
I went to see him here in Ireland for my 26th birthday, my jaw was on the floor the moment he entered the stage I swear he did the best jimmy Hendrix impression it was absolutely amazing. It was a night I will never forget. Hats off to you Michael Winslow 💜💜💜
The thing is Michael could have been huge but he gave up acting to take care of his family after his wife died so along with being extremely funny he is also a very good man
He is the real star of the police academy movies, even those who hate the movies will agree he was the best thing about them and keeps you watching just to see what he’ll do next.
God bless you just a real talent to do all the sound effects michael Winslow is one talented man appreciate a good laugh thanks job well done you should be proud after all these years later thanks ! Joe
As a kid he was a legend to me. Still is. Hes an awesome Man and A Great Father. I'm sure his children had a great child hood with him thank God for him.
He retired from acting to raise his children after his wife sadly died. While it is perhaps a shame we didn't see more of him, he by far did the right thing for his family.
I'd love to have been on set while this was being filmed as I would be pissing myself with laughter 😂 & I bet the cast & crew had been laughing for ages 😄 & you don't get no one like this anymore, as I wish that was more people like this LEGEND ❤❤❤❤👍
When movies 🎥 we’re really funny 😄 back in the 1990s Michael Winslow the OG sound effects guy from police academy We need more people like him in the Show biz
He was a big sensation back in the days! When a VCR was a new thing we use to have a classmate who got the first one among us and we all went to watch The Police Academy. He's opening scene with the shooting at the police station was when we realize that we have something special going on 😄 😆
First movie when Lt. Harris sees him at night and is about it say something he just gives that look of "I don't want to have this conversation at all..." 🤣
I do feel bad that after Police Academy happened this was the only thing this Professional actor was requested to do. None cared about his acting potential. They just wanted this part of his performance.
I met him before a show a few years ago and he was super nice. I was able to thank him for playing video games with me when I was a kid between takes. It was the weekend when they filmed that golf ball scene in Police Academy 5 and there's lots of downtime as they performed the setup and rehearse the shots. David Graff and Bubba Smith were there playing games with me too. It was the old Palm Beach International airport terminal.

My grandfather and I always had to watch police academy, no matter how many times we had seen them we laughed at them movies like it was the 1st time we saw them .
3:14 I remember watching this in the theaters drinking my coke and this came up... I spit my drink on the head of the person sitting in front of me. He was pretty chill, still I felt bad for creating a mess of his hair 😂
