Yes!!! I love how he, despite really wanting Elle to be something more, is still just an amazing friend to her in both of the films. When Noah was insanely jealous and didn't do anything she liked, Marco helped her with the bucket list and was understanding with so much. He's my favorite, and I still think Elle should've chosen him over Noah (although it's good she went to figure herself out), but even if the third movie doesn't show his significance, he still is significant in ways that the viewers put together.

I wouldnt say it’s exactly toxic BUT Noah being away and hanging out with another girl did put Elle into a pretty bad emotional state as for Marco he doesnt contain any drama nor emotional baggage and was always there for Elle when she needed someone most. Even though Noah may have not done anything wrong it’s still about how you feel about the other person and if Elle has to cry and stress about him she should reconsider things especially if it’s a long distance relationship. Ik a lot of people are gonna disagree with me and thats okay bc the best part about movies are the opinions 😊😊
