I've got a 10 year old Countryman diesel All4 and a 10 year old BMW 1 series 3 door that is faster on paper. I suspect that the Countryman is actually quicker on most roads, it seems glued to the road even on the fairly cheap Nexen tyres it came with... 0-60 my bmw is much quicker, but going around twisty roads the mini feels like it's on rails even at barely legal speeds...
@@oldlud8971 I did not check the whole video, but a Mini WRC was able to be downsized to an RRC - a Regional Rally Car; with an air-restrictor, to become a car with turbo-engine at about S2000 level. Necessary for rally's in which WRC's were not allowed. So there might an RRC in this video
@@baptiste9623 Because they couldn't... there's rules when it comes to motorsports and each of their own individual classes and specifications. Countryman was already a 4WD based platform and also followed many of the other strict specifications for the super2000 class. The cooper s was great but it wouldn't be a great choice for WRC anymore
