Of course, Dave Sanborn also does this, but he has a legitimate reason in that he had polio when he was a kid and his left arm doesn't work 100% right. Nelson, being undeniably a Sanborn-influenced player, apparently thought that holding the sax that way somehow makes him sound like Sanborn. Oops!!
