Most of the chat on twitch crying for him to skip this arc just because they want him to get to water seven faster is pretty annoying. Like one piece is about the journey not the destination. Those clowns arent real one piece fans just because they want him to get to the peak instead of enjoying the slow build up that will make the peak even greater. Some consider this filler but not me. Why? Becoz they landed on the middle of a base right out after Skypeia. If viewers skip this they will miss and be puzzled like "They got into this Water7 land and I didn't know how" or "Where the fck did their ship landed?". I am a new one piece fan and some old fans are shameful, can't extinguish a filler and a needed one.

One piece filler is great to be honest, I watched all of it before I knew what filler was and it keeps the same spirit of the show in humor and mystery with mentions in canon but it gets shit on because of narutos horrible filler which I watched all of and it takes up half of the damn show and also fuck chat and one piece filler deniers

I understand nick skiping G8 since he's not just watching for himself but also as a content creator. In other hand, just as a person, for ME, it's kinda important watch these filler arcs (and movies) bc they show more interaction of the mugiwara as not just crew but as a partners on this HUGE journey to the One Piece. Not all adventures are about fights, not all are about evolve the lore. Sometimes the crew is just living their lifes, having a boring or ordinary adventure or mission. it gives to me a humanization of the character and their relations. OBVIOUSLY, there are exceptions. I love Afro Luffy but Long Ling Long Lang Arc is pure shit but G8 is a good arc. It's nothing in comparison with Skypea or Water7 sagas for exemple but it's good.

Nah dawg, Nick and his fan base are trash for how they're treating this arc. It's legit made to incorporate all the Strawhats skillsets. The vice admiral guy was great cos, he was more tactical than just straight up strong and he would've actually caught the Strawhats if it wasn't for "Con D Oriano". It also had some of the funniest moments.
