The pan flute or pan pipe is an ancient musical instrument based on the principle of the closed tube, consisting usually of five or more pipes of gradually increasing length (and, at times, girth). The pan flute has long been popular as a folk instrument, and is considered the first mouth organ, ancestor of both the pipe organ and the harmonica. This is a synthesizer, not a pan flute. Despite beautiful songs it takes away the feeling of the instrument. sorry to say that.

Iv got a friend with severe mental health issues. He realised that listening to pan pipes helps him relax & fall asleep. I'm looking for some advice on what cds that I can tell him to look for.

Sorry for saying this: THIS IS NOT A REAL PAN FLUTE! IT IS A SYNTHESISER KEYBOARD. All the song are beautiful and ok, world hits, but the sound of the Pan Flute is not the real one.

Do you know how? Can you teach? I'm not into the pop songs much, tho they are breathtaking, I like a more primal sound.I just bought a panflute 2 days ago & I'm barely at the "little brown jug" stage - like every 3rd blow.
