The running joke of Reacher trying to eat the pie 2 times in that diner and being interrupted, while when he finally tries it he says "he had better" is just a cherry on top of that incredible season
@@josephnewbern2717 Without the success of Cruise's Reacher movies, the series might not have been made. Now that would be a loss. I really like the series even when some "critics" don't.
Haven't watched the 2nd season yet, so don't know any details. What I do know, after reading most of the Reacher novels, is that Reacher is the focal point and everyone else is pretty much just along for the ride. This is not a person that I would characterize as a collaborative individual. He yearns for true independence and never gives up that core value.
I've read the novel that this series is based on and, at the end, Reacher is Reacher, heading down the road, alone. After giving his comrades a brief pat on the shoulder and goodbye.
i found the first reacher novel “Killing Floor” in a thrift store, picked it up and read it. I didn’t even know there was a series or anything like that. Watching this was pretty amazing, this was a perfect cast for Reacher
Oh please let Alan continue starring and the series keep running!! Lee Child wrote nearly 30 books, LOVE everyone of them!! Alan Ritchson is the quintessential Reacher!!!
Reacher is the unsung American patriot war hero without a cape, the one you never account for but can always count on, the epitome of doing the right thing by any means necessary, and Finlay locked that guy up in a cell. Like she said, I would hate to be the guy that did that.
in what version of history do Americans ever do the right thing? this type of trite nonsense about "American heroes" keeps getting peddled for no valid reason.
Alan Ritchson does a great job and is so much closer, IMO, to Lee Child's Reacher. Tom did a passable job, but fans inundated Lee with complaints about his lack of size, so the third Reacher movie was cancelled. Read all the books. Amazing series and hero. Reacher was 6'5" and 250 lbs, hilariously described as "Bigfoot." Alan is a better fit and has it all. Looking forward to Season 2.
just read your comment, and it reminded me i have some books in a box which are Jack Reacher, never read them (love the series) will dig them out and give them a read.
The season was perfect. With Disney, the mcu, and the decu, rings of power and all the lecturing bs, this season was the definitive America, entertainment and respect to source material
The writing in this series is awesome, especially for Reacher. I also like how Reacher is presented as someone on the Autism Spectrum. I never knew this about the character but it's pretty plain to see (from a fellow Autistic male) that this is deliberate.
Gotta say I started watching this with the thought of it’s gunna be cheesy and awful but Jesus this had me hooked, always had me guessing and on edge of my seat an absolute gem💪🏻
Georgia DOES NOT have the best patch pie! Batavia, New York every year special pie sale has the BEST PEACH AND OTHER pies in the USA. We've traveled all the states in the USA in a coach full-time. We go back every year just for the pie sale; that is how good it is! PERIOD!🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
There’s no way that these 3 main characters should not return. I hear that Roscoe Conklin ( the female cop ) may not return for the upcoming 2nd season on Prime TV. That would be a Crime that these 3 should solve. Just wouldn’t be the same show. There chemistry or sometimes lack there of is what really made this show- a show you didn’t want to miss!!🙏🏻👼😎🌹😎👼🙏🏻
Guessing you never read the series. . . Reacher is a drifter. He never stays anywhere for very long. Therefore, it was very rare for a character to make an appearance in more than 1 book, and all the books had very likable ones as well, just like this first season. Off the top of my head, I think his friend who was his subordinate (and appeared in this season) is in more than 1 book, so you might see that character again in future seasons, but that's about it I think. . .
