@@joshevans3421 yes, the fact that Clegane’s brother committed a terrible and painful crime on his brother makes Clegane psychologically scarred(too), but the way they growl and rescue youngsters (and mostly with young, vulnerable girls) is similar.
In the background I think you can hear someone say, "Oi, Nate's cracked. I didn't know he had it in him." Something along those lines, but delivered in the same exact calm delivery Nate gave. Brilliant.
The part where Phoebe is listing off things about Roy is cute. I like the little reactions Roy has, like when she says his beard is scratchy, he rubs at it.
I appreciate that Roy Kent was the only player that gave Nate his full attention during his roasting of the players. All Nate ever wanted was to be taken seriously instead of ignored or made fun of. It will be interesting to watch his character development in season 3 considering where he is now…
@@Isabelle-hv6ny What I noticed is that while Nate's roast of the others often verged into hurtful, his "and I'm afraid of what it'll do if you keep it all for yourself" spoke of genuine care and affection for Roy.
Fun fact: Roy Kent’s actor Brett is one of the staff writers on the show! He auditioned like everyone else and fought hard to prove to the team that he’s the best choice for the role.
After realizing that he really understood Roy, Brett Goldstein self-taped an audition of five scenes then emailed it to the producers. In the email, he told them if they didn't like it to never speak of it and forget he sent it. Luckily for us, they loved it. S1 he was a story editor, this season he got promoted to co-producer. Personally, I think the two episodes he's written - S1's Tan Lines and this season's Signal are some of the best. As of right now, Signal is the best episode of S2. Brett Goldstein is killing it on and behind the camera.
If you’ve been lucky enough to live and work among the heathen British, the show is three times funnier for you than it is to the Yanks who’ll miss many of the subtleties. I once went to a Sunday matinee of a British comedy in a half-full movie house (cinema) and I’d swear I was the only one laughing. Either the locals couldn’t fathom the accents, or they couldn’t suss out the humour . . .
@@MohamedEisa-fu1ut why? that episode was certainly an odd ball, but why do you think it makes people like him less? I thought it was a wired episode sure, but didn't change my thought on the character, it was fairly consistent with his personality, just showed a bit of his own demons
Love how Roy's default emotion in every situation is just *ANGER.* For a show with such an optimistic character, you gotta offset it with someone equally furious. Same time, he's still such a positive force. Great job, writers!
Honestly what an engaging, distinctive performance this guy gives. Watching the show I had to pause and look him up on my phone to find out who the fuck he was. It's a brilliant cast and he still really stands out. Can't wait to see more from him.
Honestly… that part where his niece is saying what she likes about him just melts my heart… so good. And the part at the beginning when Nate tells Roy what his problem is now… also excellent.
I think he's probably gonna win the Emmy, but the real question is: what clip are they gonna show and how many words will have to be bleeped out? Lol.... This season he's even better, which is almost unfathomable when you look at a "Best of S01" comp like this!
One of the best shows on TV. Roy Kent is my favorite by far on the show with a cast of so many that are amazing! I hope we get a couple more seasons... Season 1 regulation Season 2 promotion Season 3 Win the whole thing (the story is written already...15-16 Leicester)
Having not seen the show yet, oh my GOD Nick Mohammed is fucking killing it in that first scene, I loved him before but I did not know he had that in him. Beautiful.
It's funny how this series takes all the unlikeable people and has them improving themselves, becoming better versions of themselves. At the same time, they take Nathan and exploit his self doubt, insecurity, jealousy etc, to bring his darkness out. Becoming a much worse version of himself. Brilliant show. I hope there'll be a few more seasons before they retire it.
hello beautiful friend, thanks for your comment we really appreciate you so much I hope to know more about you so you can add me on hangout right now thanks so much
