Well, RWBY (the main series) is still in production, with volume 9 coming out next year. There's still quite a bit of story left, so this won't be the last volume.
With RWBY and Rooster Teeth declining rapidly in popularity they would need a group of diehard production people to keep advocating for new episodes. Otherwise there's just not much money in RWBY chibi so the exec's will probably can it.

You think out of all the energy Winter & Qrow put out of killing each other. They'd get along better. Seriously though love those guys, but those two need to just bone & get it over with. 😑
