One of my favorite things about this show is Space Ghost's voice. Love how he tries to enunciate and pronounce things so properly. Also I like how whenever he talks to Moltar and Zorak he sounds and acts like their white dad lol
George Lowe was fantastic as SG. He could be wacky and he also could be very serious when he has to, plus he had great people to work with like Clay Martin Crocker as Zorak and Moltar.
Im the youngest of 4 siblings and I remember being a literal toddler and hearing my older siblings and even my parents talk about how much they loved this show. I of course never understood the show as it went completely over my head but looking back now… wow! This show’s humor was so ahead of its time.
The guests on between two ferns are in on the joke. When Space Ghost c2c started they were interviewed by Andy Merrill (voice of brak) in a poorly made space ghost costume asking absurd questions. They had no idea what was going on.
@Cutie Eevee 2 I dunno man, that final bit at the end with Bizarro Santa seems very reminiscent of the alien from The Thing. It may not have been played as horror, but that'd still be a terrifying creature for most little kids to see. But the main thing is that a lot of the humor would go right over their heads. I loved the show when I first caught it when I was about 9 or 10 while it was still airing, but admittedly most of the subtleties of it all were completely lost on me. I just loved the sorta offbeat vibe of it back then and sometimes there'd be a line that cracked me up. I definitely find it funnier now as an adult.
@Cutie Eevee 2 might just be one of those things where a lot kids just wouldn’t really find it funny? Cause they wouldn’t have seen enough tv to understand the subversion that makes it funny. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It won't, sadly. Space Ghost's actor is in poor health, Zorak/Moltar's actor is dead, and Brak's actor moved to Ohio and doesn't do much voice acting anymore.
When I was a kid watching Space Ghost 25 years ago, the parts that made me burst out laughing were all the insane, absurd non sequiturs. Those are definitely still hilarious, but my favorite part nowadays is how rude and dismissive Space Ghost, Zorak, and Moltar are both among themselves and to the guests.
Didn't think I wouldn't be the only one who came back to it and see what's up because as a kid I had no idea what was even going on. It's a trip watching it now
Saatsumaimo o how does that make sense, why does something I do have to affect you, don’t read this to begin with, but I’m not your dad so do what you want man
If Adult Swim is bringing back old tools, they need to bring this back too. I'll take reruns; I missed out of a lot of this series, and all I can remember is, "The Power of Conch Compells You!"
There is a crime here, today. “No, Kidding.” “Hey, Bill, remember that episode of “Space-Trek” when your show got canceled...? (Whispers sultry into Shatners ear) You don’t have a show..
My favorite is where some random woman from the price is right goes "aww my little space ghost" and they cut back and spaceghost is all tiny. So funny, I wish that clip was on RU-vid
I'm over it (it was nearly 30 years ago), but I still can't believe I didn't win the haiku contest: Get a load of me Watching "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" And at my age yet!
I watched just little bits and pieces of this as a kid and I could not for the life of me find this show! I literally just now found it after a video talking about the best and worst of Cartoon Network's shows and I'm so happy I did
