It's so shocking how 20 years has just flown by (At least to me)

Dermot was a teacher of mine, he started out on ' The live Mike' he would arrive in on a Monday after the show and we would invariably get him to rehash his comedy sketches! Bumped into him regularly years after. A comedy genius never fully recognised in his Country until he passed, R.I.P.

Easily the greatest consistently brilliant comedy show ever made since fawlty towers. And that only managed 12 episodes.

And yes, blackadder probably beats them all. 4 series, every episode outrageously funny, and the last one made us all burst into tears.

Awe poor Dermot Morgan his life taken from him the day after he filmed the last episode of father ted leaving behind a very promising career he had just been commissioned to write a show also leaving behind three sons his wife Fiona one of his grandsons has been named after him so maybe he could potentially follow in his grandads footsteps
