Re: air awnings. While in theory they might be easier to put up than poled awnings they also have a couple of downsides. With poled awnings you can split the poles from the awning making them easier to store in the van. Air awanings are all in one, are much heavier and the bigger bag can be more difficult to store on the van. They are also more of a problem to dry if put away wet.
Very nice video, much appreciated. I wonder what the future holds for diesel powered vehicles in the EU. I can see higher taxes and restrictions coming on older engines for a start.

Thank you, genuinely appreciate you saying that. There are many good ones and like vans, everyone has different preferences. Tristram - Polzeath Camping is on the cliff, however dogs on beach are restricted. Treyarnon is another good one with beach access and dogs are allowed. There is a sea pool which is good and also caves at low tide. Bedruthan Steps is on a cliff. Beautiful views, great food options in summer and nice walks with the National Trust cafe being highly recommended. You would need to drive to a beach but Mawgan Porth is one side and the 7 bays around Padstow the other way.

Maybe it's the appalling state of UK roads that's driving sales of off-road adventure campers? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ BTW, the T6.1 is (was?) available with a factory option of an upgraded SB and alternator - this provides a 92Ah battery and a 250A alternator.
