XØ-Pencey_prep击 they're just sad and miss the old ghouls, I miss those old ghouls too because they give ghost this certain vibe, but new ghouls are more active on stage and just plain awesome
I don't think it's as much about people hating the new ghouls, as much as they support the original ghouls and how Tobias/Papa treated them once the band started to get real recognition, and with it, real money.
Ghost lost all the mysticism with the ghoul change, the old ghouls had a much more mystical and artful stage presence. The new ghouls are more lively, jumping around with stage moves from abba or something. Not to mention they mess up the solos quite a lot. That is why they are getting hate. In my opinion, as someone who has seen Ghost live 4 times. The old ghouls were significantly better live. But I guess it can be hard to notice, it's not like you can go see the old ghouls live now for reference.
@@acorn3346 the lead guitarist is dewdrop/sodo, he has either a white or black-white guitar Rythm guitr is Aether, he has the black guitar Rain is the black and white bass player. Swiss sometimes has an Acoustic or does vocals or tambourine (i think) The Ghoulettes names are cirrus, cumulus and sunny(newest i think) and they do back up vocals and cumulus and cirrus play keytar, im not Sure about Sunny though
I love the new Ghouls as much as the originals! They are very entertaining! Regardless of whatever beef the originals have with Papa the new Ghouls have done nothing to earn any disrespect. \m/ \m/
I REALLY miss both Martin and Simon SOOOO FREAKIN BAD,hurts to know they will never come back. But if TOBIAS is there, all the magic is there,so I AM GLAD AND GRATEFUL for everything he is doing for everyone...
Really? How can you say that you love the new ones as much as the original? Legit? Makes no sense. Look at these Ghouls. They're fcking jumping around and acting like kids. Martin and Simon were mature guys with class. You cant compare them to these pathetic Ghouls. You're not a fan of Ghost that I can tell....
Anrenilorak You're the one who obviously isn't a true fan. I love them until they give me a reason not to. So get off your high horse just because my opinion differs from yours.
I have the deepest respect for these dudes (and dudettes). As cool as they look, playing in those masks must be a bitch because it is hard to see, they probably move around and obscure their vision even more, and I'm sure they sweat their asses off. Much love for the ghouls!
I'm the drummer in a tribute for these guys and the meliora /prequelle mask provides zero peripheral vision we get the impera masks next week so that should be fun
The new ghouls are amazing!!!! at the beginning, I thought: oh crap! it will never be the same, but these new ghouls deserve all my admiration and my support!!! LOVE PAPA, LOVE THE GHOULS
i've accepted the inevitability of the new ghouls replacing the old ones. i completely respect the new ones and im happy that ghost would be continue to make music but at he same time, it also makes me sad. new fans of ghost would never know the old ghouls who made the band what it is now
Saddly... people is seeking for entertainment. I follow them because of their music, Meliora was the arrow in my knee, and I hope these guys prove me wrong in the next album. But don't think Alpha and Omega can ever be replaceable.
the old ghouls had a different kind of energy they put on stage which i prefer. it seems more dark and less... extra/dramatic(?) as the new ghouls. i just like the aura the old ghouls have
I guess the new ghouls fit with Papa emeritus III, he has a more playful way than his predecessors. And the ghouls kinda fit that theme. Which makes me curious about the new papa(emeritus III was just retired) Will they switch the ghouls again...
yammmit maybe someone who’s not fluent in english because that’s not his/her first language or just someone who made a spelling mistake because we’re humans and that’s what we do?
It must be so liberating to do this with no one knowing who you are. I was in a funk/motown band in highschool and we did a lot of shows but I mean if I was up there with a mask and garb draping my sides who KNOWS the mischief I would've gotten into on stage then :D
Okay, "skinny ghoul" who I have been told is Per Eriksson, is hot, "Beefy boy" or as I called him myself "meaty Ghoul" is Chris Catalyst, the bassist is Cosmo Sylvan, now that way they are all playing lined up and moving together as they are doing (video at 46 seconds in) makes me think of the band "The Scorpions" and also "Judas Priest". The way they are moving together was an 80's metal rock guitarists way of moving. The Scorpions had done it alot, and also Judas Preist. The new Ghouls are good, BUT, Omega will always be "King of the Ghouls". Now, that keyboard Ghoul, I have No ideas who he is. Plus, the drummer Ghoul, I have no idea who that is either.
@@valmaxianelvengod Okay, yeah, 1 is "Mad Gallica" and 1 is ???? I heard that 1 Ghoulette, at some point in time had been in Rob Zombies band too. And, maybe a band called Lez Zepplin. I'm GUESSING a band of Lesbians that like to play Zepplins stuff?
@@BrettLee0 Okay, I have their names written down too, I just got confused as to when each Ghoul came into the band. I had them down for 2019 Ghost, so I guess some came BEFORE 2019? I'd seen Aksel in a video called "Ghoul aircam" or The band Ghost (Airghoul Cam) It has "Omega" aka Martin Persner talking in Swedish as the first part of the video, then it goes on to show Phil Enselmo (?) of Pantera with some people and on to some Ghouls unmasked, Ghouls with Phil onstage etc, it's interesting to see. Thanks for the reply, I shoulda known that already since I have it written down and taped to the wall in my room.
I finally got to see Ghost live in Kansas City on 7-11-17 and the new Ghouls were amazing!! Musically, no flaws, no bobbles, no errors. Their overall performances were just off the charts good. There's a bit of choreography and pantomime that goes on with the Ghouls and these new Ghouls were energetic and, despite the masks and suits, very emotive. I walked away massively impressed. Standouts (granted, all the Ghouls were very good): the Ghoul on stage left with the white guitar (brilliant) and the bassist. I'm also a bass player, so she stood out for her massive tone and attack, plus she had an energy that was conveyed to the audience. Finally, as one of my friends wrote about Ghost: they took to the stage and acted like they *wanted* to be there and own that thing. Yep.
The Ghoul with the white guitar is Fire, the other guitarist is Ether, the bassist is Water, the drummer is Earth, and the keyboardist is Wind. I got to meet the new Fire and Ether, along with Papa after a show this year, and in addition to being fantastic musicians, they are all incredibly nice people. I've been to 4 rituals, 2 with the original Ghouls, and 2 with the new ones, and I would say that they new Ghouls have an energy that the old ones did not, but Ghost has, and always will, put on an absolutely amazing live show.
My first Ghost show was opening for Maiden in 2017 & had no clue of band change. They blew me away with their enthusiasm & energy! I saw videos of previous band members & they were awesome as well. Amazing songs & sound! Looking forward to a new album. But happy to get their 3 albums!
1:27 search up "Metallica - For whom the bell tolls live", Rob and kirk do the same at the intro, (something similar) going rounds looking at each other, this makes me think the friendship between metallica and ghost!
I got to see them twice in the same weekend and both shows I was watching the ghouls more then papa as they are very energetic on stage and very entertaining let alone they are great musicians. I especially loved when both guitarist did the dueling banjos intro and couldn't stop laughing
soooo I'm super new to listening to Ghost. A friend showed me a few songs this past New Year's and I got hooked after seeing them open for Iron Maiden. Whatever business the older Ghouls and Papa had is not my concern, but I love the new Ghouls. When I saw them, they were highly interactive and energetic, and they looked like they were having fun. That's what rock n roll should be all about
My wife went to that show and said it was amazing. Personally, I saw them last in Austin, and it wasn't with the Sisters of Mercy guys as the new ghouls at that point (although they do seem a perfect fit for the band).
Really miss the Martin and Simon on the guitars, but the new band members are good. Ghost is Ghost, but if you wan to listen to Martin and Simon then search for MCC, Magna Cara Cartel.
FPV Cartel I've seen ghost with Alpha and Omega 5 times and the new ghouls twice and I have to say the person who replaced Alpha isn't a good playing live like he was and many fans have echoed that
Maybe they're different when they open for other bands but when I saw them in 2017 while they were opening for Iron Maiden I definitely felt like these new ghouls had a lot of the artistry and mystique people seem to say the previous ones had? There were moments were they would stand (or in the keyboard ghoul's case, sit) straight and still and with those masks they looked like proper demon statues and I thought that was so spooky and cool
Gosh I appreciate these new Ghouls so much. Even more so the new - new ones and Ghoulettes during Copia's era. I'm glad to see the bassist, one of the guitar players are still around during this era and better than ever with their antics which now include the one badass keytar playing Ghoulette.
Still Miss Old Ghouls... Martin Persner (Omega) - member of Ghost since 2010. Simon Söderberg (Alpha) - member of Ghost since 2010. Mauro Rubino (Air) - member of Ghost since 2011. Henrik Palm (Eather) - member of Ghost since 2015 Martin Hjertstedt (Earth) - member of Ghost since 2014
+shahrizat sulaiman They're greedy assholes.Simon is a little talentless bitch,so is Henrik. They can't even create music on their own,all they were left for was to perform his music, and they didn't even deserve that.Martin was the only one with solid talent, and he did the most besides Gustaf Lindstrom (the first bassist).
Hey. I’m cori Cahow’s son. And my FAVORITE band is ghost. They are amazing and I’m going to 2 ghost shows in October and dressing up as a Nameless Ghoul. It’s me and my dad that are into ghost. My mom hates them. I’ve probably watched this video 50 times!
I feel like the keyboardist we see at 4:01 might be Multi-Ghoul now. He moves a lot like him. If anyone knows the identity of the Keyboardist and Multi-Ghoul can you please answer my comment?
Georges Georges i dont think we know their real names. It’s best that we keep it that way. So far, we only know that Martin and Simon are former members. And then Tobias revealed himself. But he said it was bound to happen anyways especially if anyone knew about him from his days with the band “Repugnant”
I wish I could have seen them in concert when they were playing a venue near where I was, I was 8 months pregnant at the time. But they are coming back to Florida any time soon. I'm hoping that there is at least some sort of concert video some where for it.
