DP1 is the movie Ryan Reynolds was able to make, with budget he was given. DP2 is the Deadpool movie he always wanted to make; and DP&W is the movie he wanted/was able to make with MCU money
DP&W is the movie fans wanted to to be made, not saying is bad but it definitely has a different identity that the other two. Really fun movie, saw it in the premiere and all and loved it, but DP2 has so much sauce

Thanks Navi for bringing up how dangerous Juggernaut’s is, recent adaptations have made him a joke but while he’s not world ending, he’s definitely someone who’d require the entirety of the X-Men to even subdue.
Juggernaut is more than just a strong dude, hes the literal avatar of a god. He's went toe to toe with marvels biggest powerhouses such as Thor, Hulk and even Hyperion and has won most of them.
So in the comics, Yukio was "friends" with Storm. I put it in quotation marks because, while it's never confirmed on page, Chris Claremont pretty obviously intended them to be in a relationship. (Much like several other couples Claremont wrote, most notably Destiny and Mystique, who we finally got confirmation of as Nightcrawler's biological parents recently. Mystique's shapeshifting is very thorough.) Later writers continued it, and Yukio has frequently been mentioned in the same context as some of Storm's explicitly romantic relationships, like T'Challa and Forge. Juggernaut is Professor X's stepbrother. Charles's mom married Juggernaut's dad after Charles's dad died in a workplace accident. And the whole "Magneto's helmet blocks telepathy" thing came from the movies, which I'm pretty sure got it from Juggernaut's helmet. Also, the Essex House is a reference to Mr. Sinister, whose real name is Nathaniel Essex. Cable's mutant power is telepathy and telekinesis, and he has the potential to be incredibly strong with his telekinesis. Problem is, the mechanical stuff? It's called the Techno-Organic Virus, and he has to use most of his telekinetic power internally, to keep it from overtaking his body. also, fun fact: the grown up version of Russel is played by Sala Baker, who also played Sauron's physical form in Lord of the Rings
The reason the orphanage place existed it’s like a Pray the gay away camp. So to the idiot running the place, like most idiots who run such places, thinks mutants manifesting their powers is psychologically and not physically based for all mutants no matter what the mutation is. Like a dog with a shock collar, he makes them associate external pain and suffering with the use of their abilities in order to make them fearful and unwilling to “raise a hand” to a human. Also, Nathaniel Essex is the government name for Mr. sinister from the original X-Men comics.
Funny story.. music world is small so I have several friends that play movie scores at the studios.. when I heard the words during the Juggernaut fight I was laughing out loud in the theatre. When the movie was over I texted a friend who’s a fellow trombone player and asked if he had played this film… he said “no” and asked why.. so I explained it… He started laughing and said he didn’t play the DP2 call but when he got to FOX that day for another session a bunch of choir people were leaving the studio and couldn’t stop laughing at what they just had to sing… it was Deadpool 2 😂

Yes, thank you! “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” is really where I first discovered Julian Dennison, Rachel House, and Taika as a Director. Although technically, the first Taika Waititi directed film I ever watched was “Eagle vs Shark” back in the late 2000’s when I was in college but I still remember watching it but I couldn’t tell what the plot was. 😅

Juggernaut is the half brother of Charles Xavier. Since he knows Xavier can control his mind he designed the helmet with the same blocking capabilities as Magneto’s helmet.
Jugs didn't design the helmet. Its part of his outfit that he acquired when he became the avatar for Cyttorrak. Its magic based. One of its properties is that it blocks psychic attacks. There is a debat w/ Mags helment. Some references in the comics say its the helmet that blocks psychic attacks while other references say its Magneto himself who built a tolerance to block Charles out. I think they cannonized one explanation but cant remember. Ironic huh? ha! @ speaking about psychic powers

In deadpool one, there's a moment where he tells his roommate that there's a bunch of cocaine, right next to the cure for blindness hidden somewhere the apartment. It goes by really quickly, but when he picks up the cocaine here you can see there's a cure for blindness down in his little hidden spot
Cable is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor the clone of Jean Grey. Cable is actually from the present time , but he got sent to the future when he was an infant because he got infected with some kind of a techno virus
Navi made reference to the animation and Kitty Pryde phasing through the floor and her blanket getting stuck. Also, she mentioned the team fighting Juggernaut on the dam. Both of these scenes are from X-Men: Evolution from around the year 2000. The show was about a few younger versions of X-Men trying to fit in at a “normal” high school. The show’s still pretty good, although it’s obviously for a teenage crowd. It’s four seasons (although more like three and a half), so not too long. Could make for a fun revisit.
there is actually another Juggernaunt refences in animation that goes further back. Episode of Spoiderman and His Amazing friends when the team went to visit the X-Mansion and Juggernaut attacked. That was one of the few times u heard Wolervine with an austrailian accent.

31:38 to answer Navi's question, Cable is supposed to be like ~6'8 according to the comics, but Josh Brolin is "only" 5'10 (a pretty average height), so in true Deadpool fashion they just make jokes about his height instead of camera tricks to make Brolin seem taller. 57:00 Not quite...the "scared straight" campaign wasn't anything to do with sexuality, it was to scare at-risk kids away from more crime-focused lifestyles by exposing them to what life in prison is actually like in hopes that they'd start living "on the straight and narrow" (ie stop breaking the law). The rehab place in this movie was more along the lines of the "pray the gay away" type of system, usually run by religious zealots who see homosexuals as abominations and/or sinners.
Juggernaut is NOT a mutant. He’s that big and unstoppable because of a magical artifact; the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak ‘X-Men 3: The Last Stand’ did the character dirty.

They re-edited Deadpool 2 removing all the gore, toned down the violence, and changed the cursing to more generic language, then surrounded the re-edit with a framing story that Deadpool is telling the whole thing to Fred Savage (who Wade kidnapped) in a recreation of the bedroom from The Princess Bride. It's actually quite an amusing take on this film and worth a watch (and perhaps a reaction video).

The little Easter eggs in Deadpool 2 are hilarious! Because of Josh Brolin being in the movie One of my favorite Easter eggs is the fact that when Deadpool had the baby legs he's actually wearing the same exact shirt that chunk wore in The Goonies!
The opening of this movie always makes me very sad. The Korean bistro in the background at 6:29 was really good irl, but then it closed down. I miss it.
The whole "Hold a beatbox stereo over your head playing "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel to convince someone to return to you" thing is from the 1980s classic "Say Anything". It's a beautiful throwback/reference from Reynolds because if you don't know it, it's kinda funny - but if you DO know it, it's hilarious.
The scene the intro parodied was an iconic scene from Flashdance There is a Cable Backstory, buuuut there may be spoilers for a show you might wanna watch involving him. For what you probably are wanting to know, his metal arm isn't actually metal, it's a virus that was turning his body into technology, they stopped the spread in the future but it's pretty dystopian. Cable is often the straight man to Deadpool when they team up, stoic and serious, he time travels a lot but usually it's to team with Deadpool or protect a child messiah type character. That was Brad Pitt as the Vanisher btw, in exchange Ryan cameoed for Bullet Train. Ryan also played Juggernaut in Deadpool 2, but the helmet isn't his power source, the helmet has been written as a means to block psychic attacks from his half-brother, Charles Xavier. 'He looks cool in black' - well in the comics Deadpool's X-Force costume is in fact black and grey, think the eyes are red too though that could be Wolverine. He may not have become a contract killer but Dopinder did find work as a Spider-Man

You realize when he kills a Ryan before he can make GK, that’s another Earth from a different universe. So DP can’t jus travel through time, but also through the Multiverse. Maybe that’s why the TVA is after him in Deadpool and Wolverine?
DP&W is being criticized for not having deadpool characters but they fail to realize that is it not DP3. It is DP&W. DP3 might happen in the future with the success of DP&W but I think the wait will be a long one for sure
Cable is Scott summers (cyclops) and Madelyn pryde (Jean greys clone) son. He gets infected with the technorganic virus and gets sent into the future to be hopefully cured. He then goes on various adventures with the X-Men
The mutant rehabilitation center where Russell came from is owned by Nathaniel Essex aka Mr. Sinister who usually prefers to act through agents and manipulation and sometimes often clashes with X-men because he wanted samples of X-genes for self experimentation to gain more power.
Navi asked "What is 'Once Upon A Deadpool'?" That's the "kid friendly" PG-13 version of this movie. Deadpool kidnaps Fred Savage and reads him a bedtime story, but it's a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2. (Fred Savage played the kid in The Princess Bride, which 'Once Upon a Deadpool' is parodying)
The version of take on me at the end of the film is sung by the original singer. He does a slow version for a MTV special that you can find here on youtube.
