This guy for sure didn't try Nvidia reflex. As someone else said here, It's buggy giving a lot of jittering and stuttering. Just disable it for now till they fix it. Even in version 1.0.43 it's still not fixed
Something is wrong with this pc port.. the FPS will tank in cutscenes and sometimes will remain being so bad until you eventually restart the game. yes the port is optimised, but it has serious problems still .. Anyway, this is the worst "optimisation guide" video ever
No. Its something wrong with the game. I have no problem at very high texture at 1080p with my RTX 3070. Its only when i enter cutscenes when the fps just all of a sudden drops, and then it stays there until i restart the game.. i even checked Vram and its no where near close to being depleted. Literally around 6.9 gb used max.. something is definitely wrong with this port.. an rtx 3070 should be able to handle this game at very high settings 1080p at 90fps with no problem
already huge mistake at the beginning of the video, window mode should be set to "exclusive fullscreen", the "fullscreen" in this game is actually borderless. You 100% loss FPS with borderless
with a 3070 and 5900x at 1440p I get reasonable fps, but when there is a cutsecene and especially if there are more people in the frame, the fps dpros to 30 or 20 and the power consumption drop to like 100W only or even below that. Idk, if it's a bug, but I've seen other people also writing about this.
RTX 3070 and i9 9900K CPU here and having the same behavior you describe. I tried to turn down to 1080p but the stuttering and drop in fps remains. When the main characters enters the first city riding on a machine it drops to something about 15 fps 😂 feels more like a PowerPoint presentation than a game.
@@diogenescaruaru same goes with me.. tag me if you got it fix, also run at 1080p with medium high settings. 1st city/settlement 15fps also in cut scenes 😂
People saying this is a good PC port was checking it out again and was getting fps in the 40s then when I fast traveled and went back to the same spot it was 70 to 80 fps ..they couldn't have fixed that memory leak.. and it's worse in bases... PS5 was certainly my best experience when I first played it
Not really a graphics settings guide when the majority of the FPS gains come from upscaling technologies. Do it with DLSS before AND after, or without DLSS at all. This doesn't tell me what settings have the biggest impact on FPS
I don't have dlss option, I installed the mod and its not there, I have an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 Ti , someone please suggest for me any solution other than the video to better the performance, playing the game atm has a lot of stuttering and massive quality and lag issues on cutscenes
I would take my hat off, if I had a hat. The FSR FG mod is working wonders. Without it, in settlements etc of very lush/foggy places, I can dip below 60, even sub 50. Optimiced settings, 3080 7700X 3440x1440. Out in the wild I usually sit at 70-80, after the mod, it can goto 120 or higher. Depending on environment. Before your vid I did change some settings and thought I was sitting good around 60 aty the lowest, but could dip below in some cases. Your settings are close to mine, where I set my texture to very high, but I don't see a need to run games at the highest setting, unless you take tons of SS or similar. Looks a bit better, but eats more VRAM. It can hit around 9500MB. My card has 10GB. And some other settings deffer from mine. I am happy with the output of your suggestions on settings. Again, Thank you and keep up the good work. Edit: After some testing, I noticed some strange UI glitches when using the FSR3 FG mod, and disabled it. It's too much of a distraction, when the UI is jumping so much. Might give it another try, if or when an update is available. Currently, not for me.
I actually really enjoyed this video and how you go into a little bit of everything. Pretty solid guide my friend. With my build r7 5800x/7800xt I’m able to run this on the lg c2 in 4k at a solid 60 with everything on high/on and VSYNC enabled at half refresh. I turned the last section of graphic settings and motion blur off while my sharpness is at 2. I assume this would be an even better scenario if I played this on the 1440p monitor but with hdr enabled and a smooth 60fps this game is *chefs kiss*.
Even without reflex, theres something wrong with the game entirely.. its like each and every cutscene tanks your Performance each time.. it gets worse with every cutscene. And the only way to fix it is to restart the game . Theres something definitely wrong with this port.
I am hardly getting 60FPS with all your settings in the opening scene of the game. In HZD I got constant 120-144FPS. I have HP Omen Ryzen 7 RTX3060 6GB & 16GB RAM. Is my optimization wrong or the game is getting low FPS, I can't pin point. If anyone can suggest something, please do.
