Surprised to see this sort of long form content from you but its very enjoyable! Thought only the likes of otzdarva had the dedication. So glad to see you do this choy, I’m gonna enjoy every minute.
I agree pinhead is going to be first character I p3. I disagree with corrupt intervention being a must. On hag and trapper sure but honestly lethal pursuer and discordance in my opinion will have as good effect. Especially with it's nerf. I'm not sure how everyone else feels but both of those perks I mentioned will get you early downs and can be used later. I have lost two gens with corrupt up and usually lose one before it's gone I do think it helps but it's not a must have.
@@TheOnlyChoy it actually would. I don't know what we would base it on though. Because lethal pursuer after update obviously would be beneficial to have with at least a aura reading perk. I actually am excited for that change I agree with you that I don't believe game will be better but am hopeful. Discordance is also really good but is not as consistent as other two. I guess it also comes down to the player and your personal experience some perks just feel better. But anyway thanks for video I need stuff to watch at work. Anything 🐷 related is always welcome and I as well like Sadako I do surprisingly well with her I disagree with community that she is worse killer in game but agree with you that she does need help but so do many killers. I feel MMR ruined this game if killer is better than survivor in majority of there games there more likely to go for 12 hooks and everyone has more fun. When it's equal it feels like if they or you don't tunnel you get destroyed that and map design are the real issues in this game not so much perks but here's hoping for better days keep up the good work. So what do we base experiment on I'm thinking how many gens before first hook.
"Reduce grind" is a lie tbh. Pay tax just to prestige an the. You have it either A) p3 each character individual which is hard since 1m gets a character to level 40 at best or B) get a character to P3 an just level up other characters to find the perks along the way. It's insane how the grind really isn't reduce by much. Qol for veterans but difficult for new players. Still don't get why not add BBQ & where gonna live forever stack into the base game. May be ramble here but 1m gets anyone to level 40, then 50 thousand in order to prestige on top of any given good match could get you 32k BP (without offering but even with streamer you'll get maybe 64bp) which isn't enough an requires more grind play time. Only issue is it's dbd an people get fed up real quick
It’s a long term investment for new players. This will really help a new player over time. This goes without saying it will scare newer players away more often I think. I think it’s still positive. Just how positive is questionable
@@casedistorted It's difficult to decide as someone who had about 1k hours starting over on PC from PS5. Some is preference, but there are absolutely some perks that are universal or good on most Killers. And some people don't like "meta", but it's there for a reason. I'm keeping track of how I prestiged, and even I think I could've picked a little smarter only 11 Killers in.
@@sinastir7688 Plague is the first killer i prestiged cuz Corrupt is a must if ur coming back into the game lol. otherwise survivors gen rush u and by the time u get ur first or second hook theres only 1 gen left
Thinking about lethal pursuer, what if there was a perk that'd give you a short speed boost at the start of the game (and/or after hooking someone) to really help kick the game off. Maybe like +20% speed for 5/6/7 seconds
Devour Hope gives you a +5% speed boost for 10 seconds 10 seconds after hooking someone and, if uncleansed, you'll have a massive swing of momentum that's difficult to stop once you get your third stack.
@@aoltre +5% (it has never been +10%), and it can only start happening from your third hook onward. In addition the goal of devour's speed boost is to help you in a potential chase, hence why it's for ten seconds, ten seconds after the hook, while having a larger speed boost for less time, immediately after hooking someone could only help you in chase if someone is right next to the hook, which means my proposed perk would only help you get to gens before they popped/help you capitalize on what you see from lethal/BBQ
It should also have an extra effect like leather does. Like an extra 2% speed boost with speed perks or add ons. Make clown a bit better and bloodlust better
@@etourdie Oof, thanks for that correction. Definitely not +10% and the initial effect used to be at 1 token when it was a minor repair speed debuff, but now it's at 2. Really goofy of me to goof that up. That aside, I'd be probably be cool to see a perk like that, but it'd be overkill on smaller maps and more of a band-aid fix to the horrible map issue.
@@etourdie that would be a terrible perk unless it gave a base innate upgrade like lethal peruser which can give an additional speed boost combined with another perk kind of how lethal gives an extra 2 seconds
I think light born should be buffed so that survivors don't immediately know you have it during the match (normal animation, normal scoring events, but no saves and you can actually see) and more importantly, make it so if someone has an archive to blind the killer, they aren't cucked by the killer deciding to bring it
41:30 Ummm, If the survivors can't hear Legion's terroritious, then Killer instinct won't activate. However The plague would like to have a word for you & she asks whether you have any mints?
I hope that with all these changes, that more perks will be changed soon too. Maybe not like right now since we just got 39 changes, but I am talking about perks that still never gets used that hasn't been touched. Like for killers: Hangman's trick, Beast of Prey, Zanshin tactics, Overwhelming presence And for Survivors: Premonition, Buckle up, Visionary, Red herring Hopefully a lot of these perks can also be changed soon, but I am so excited for the new meta
Excellent video Choy even as a veteran gave me a good idea of how to finish my roster when the new change comes. Oh and the Bwah-bwah-Blahs through perk descriptions made my day XD
Honestly, with the changes to Eruption making the survivors worthless for 25 sec after being exploded, and how absolutely massive the additional 2 seconds on EVERY aura reading form in general in the game (so long as its timed) can be with lethal, i feel like id rate Nemesis higher up than he is. Eruption seems like it'll be annoying as hell in a Gen Kick meta, and Lethal giving you a head start on knowing where everybody is AND making sure every aura reading perk now lasts far longer than before can be a massive game changer
Fair point eruption against really good survivor team will be countered but is still a strong perk. Lethal pursuer will be good on anyone and he is a fun killer
Love the longer form videos I think Nemo could be higher but other then that I would agree with your opinion roughly. Obviously this is just your opinion so the list can never be, “wrong”
how will it be less of a grind? you still have to prestige every single killer and surv to get the perks. how is that a reduce? or you are lucky and get all the teachables while leveling....i dont know how this will reduce anything tbh. it maybe sound good on paper for BHVR
@@Chompski_ i have like 3 k hours in dbd, started playing 2016 and i have a decent amount of p3 on both sides but i do have most killers i play fully perked out, survs i do have half of them p3 woth all or atleast 90% of perks but that doesnt make anything better tbh^^ removing bonus bp is the dumbest shit ever happened to this game and yes this new system will be decent long therm but who cares about that? nobody does and exactly like you said. new players will still have a shit ton of grind.....but we all know, bhvr devs are not the smartest
@@Chompski_ like i said, long term this will help, having all perks already does make a difference but not for new players only for people whith already everything unlocked. lol bbq makes killers not camp? haha people camp no matter what. they are scared people will "speedrun" dbd and after they unlocked everything they will never play again, since they removed double bloodpoint weekends i knew they dont like people having fun in dbd
I think Blight should be much higher on this list. All 3 of his perks are very good now. Undying for obvious reasons, Blood Favor is very strong in chase while it's up and counters pallet saves (as infrequently as they happen), and Dragon's Grip has *insane* synergy with Overcharge. I also think Nemesis should be higher. He's definitely better than Pig and Freddy because Lethal is A-tier and new Eruption is probably also A-tier or high B-tier. None of Pig's or Freddy's perks are near that
34:18 It would be not very good if it were nearly complete gen or last generator. Setting the scene. You're about to complete the gen when someone gets down near you; The killer sees you working, so he chases you off and kicks it. Then, as you are about to get back on it, he picks up the slug, and then boof, the claws block you. Now I know that Thrilling tremors stop the degrees on the gen; however, as soon as the timer is up, it will start losing progress. Thrilling can't be underestimated in how often it saves gens from getting finished.
Really enjoyed this video 🐷💖 just now hit me how many perks I love and need better get to work lol hope your having a wonderful day and thank you for knowledge 🐽💕
I think Wraith is the worst, and by far. At least with Huntress and Twins, you can use one or two of their perks with some builds and killers… but Wraith? Shadowborn meme and that's it.
@@TK_TK811 I think the FOV is fine the way it is, because it is meant to be challenging to keep track of survivors and not only rely on seeing what's in front of you. 🤷♂️ That'd be kinda like saying Brutal Strength should be base kit; it could, and it'd be an improvement, but meh.
@@josemedina1805 the patch is making tier 1 brutal base why not make shadowborne base, I'm not a fan of being unable to see qnd not able to hear because the sounds in the game are muffled by the loud chase music
Fun fact, Hysteria is bad even on Legion because oblivious survivors cannot be detected by killer instinct It's arguably only good on Plague and Pinhead with Engineers Fang and that's all i can think of as i am writing it
Hey choy i think onryos perk floods of rage is much better tahn you think, with killers like Oni or blight, you can destroy survivors in seconds because you know were are they going exactly for 7 seconds or even catching survivors out of guard
Is dead by daylight still toxic? Because when I got the game and it only took me 1-2 weeks to get mad at the game because the survivors where trolling so much and they were also super salty i remember getting a message from a survivor i was playing against and he was just insulating me for no reason and i was just vibeing trying to enjoy the game and it just never got better and it was starting to really piss me off within a mere week & a half from buying the game. I got so mad to where the point I was starting to take the anger out on my friends and family. And that's when I realized I was getting too addicted to the game. So that's when I decided that it wasn't good to keep playing the game because it was ruining my social health. But now I want to try the game out again but I want to come back to playing the game but this time I want to be more careful to not lose my tamper. But there's something holding me back from playing the game idk if it's me having anxiety or me just not feeling like going threw that experience again. (Sorry for the long read btw)
Yes it's still very toxic and a lot of other players have had similar experiences. I made two videos to try and help with the issue, I'll leave the links if you'd like to check them out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1ydu3n65sbE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fc-0Dsz3PIk.html
@@douglashenrique188 I don't think you understand what I was saying dude. If you want the meta perks you basically need to own and prestige each character for their perks. If you think that is a dramatic statement you must not play DBD.
Great video really enjoyed it! I wonder if a fix for huntress lullaby would be stop it being a hex totem, have it reward you stacks when you hook a survivor and take stacks away if you hook the same survivor twice in a row 🤔 what do yall think?
I'd say maybe instead each stack should also give like +1% more regression and +10% skill check speed to everything other than heal skill checks. Make it so it can actually have an impact on veterans instead of just new players, so that it's more deserving of being a hex. Also your buff would make it even worse for newer players since now they can't find and remove it, while people who've played for longer still aren't really affected
Jolt being a general perk really elevates Surveillance and it's such a good learning tool for new killers that need some help with gen control. Pig is a decent killer to start learning with, I think she's a great first P3.
Survivor version when? My current favorite build as a serial solo is Bond, Prove Thyself, Adrenaline & Sprint Burst maybe going in order is the best. As for this list, I disagree with Pinhead being first for one reason alone; he has yet to go on sale for 50% off so I haven't bought him yet! 🤪
You'll still keep all your perks that you've unlocked. I believe that any perks that you have unlocked prior to the patch can still be found in the bloodweb like before, I found corrupt intervention tier 2 on Doctor despite not prestiging plague in the PTB. It's still a good idea to prestige the character that has the perks you desire if you want to have them for all characters. But since you have all perks, it's no big deal. Prestiging just guarantees you'll have those perks for all future characters.
Corrupt intervention is getting a nerf so maybe hag, trapper, and shape can get the most benefit. I won’t list it that high. I’ll list sadako and nemesis higher tho.
@@casedistorted Corrupt used to not disable when downing the first survivor so it used to always be the full 120 seconds of blockage. The nerf wasn’t that big so it’s still one of the best perks.
No; since the new PR won't make survivors scream or make the gen explode, they will not let go of the gen. They can keep on repairing until you physically make them scram.
3:27 Oh god man, what are you doing to us survivors. We don't need more pinhead players, he's so obnoxious to go against 😂 35:12 ruin has been ruined. 44:18 Nah, it's not the worst. It's great to use it to practice to be a better killer; to learn where to run the survivors. Sure it's the worst perk if you're already great at the game.
I actually get so many free hits using trail of torment. Yeah it’s definitely a little meme-y but I find that I actually end up getting a free hit on a survivor who is otherwise great at looping because they are using their camera to look everywhere but right in front of them.
For Spirit, she synergizes with a lot of perks, so it honestly depends on your playstyle. In my basic build Save the Best for Last and Jolt are mainstays. It saves time from kicking gens and is pretty fun! Unfortunately, don't have much info on Wesker.
Oh yeah I'm a brand new player who's play time is like a couple hours and I found a cool perk. I dont remember what its called but it like takes survivers 75% longer to get out of your grip so if you combine that with Ttappers perk isnt that like a garunteed hook?
Yes. It's good at lower ranks when you're learning the game, however, after you have a good amount of playtime, unless you're going for a specific playstyle (such as Basement Trapper) then Agitation & Iron Grasp aren't too good.
Pretty high, Nowhere to Hide is an amazing aura reading perk. Hex: Face the Darkness has a lot of meme potential and can still be good on stealth killers. Hubris is my favorite, an absolute monster perk for full chase builds.
Considering the patch coming out I am not sure some of these perks you hold so highly are as good or beneficial anymore. The scourge hook on artist got massively nerfed for example, and even corrupt intervention.
Why is everyone so wrong about the stranger things characters not having teachables? I literally have all of their teachables. I even have Steve’s teachables and I haven’t even upgraded him one level. Why are you wrong?
And you didn't stop to think that maybe *everyone* isn't wrong, and you're understanding it incorrectly? The Stranger Things perks are indeed not teachable. Your own comment proved that: 'I even have Steve’s teachables and I haven’t even upgraded him one level' That right there shows that he doesn't have teachables. Steves, Nancys & Demos perks are all General perks, like Spies from the Shadows, NOED, Hope & Kindred. You get them in anybody's bloodweb regardless of owning the characters or having them levelled, additionally, levelling them up to Prestige 1/2/3 doesn't give their perks as Tier 1/2/3 on all characters, aka how teachables function.
I played this game for about a week, often thought to myself “Hmm, killers are way too OP, just on their own merit, with the way the game is designed.” The survivors are HEAVILY disadvantaged right from the get-go and to escape, even in 1game out of 5, seems to almost never happen. Add in the fact that people can be using killers that aren’t even available anymore to augment these already too powerful menaces and the game is just not worth playing. IMO, this game wins the “Pile of Trash” award. Don’t waste your time on this mess.
Grim embrace can actually be really good like say you get lucky which i have alot recently i will admit and down and hook the required 4 different survivors hooked can basically double the gen block
