For anyone using jetboils, Kmart sell the gas cannisters, they cost bout 4 bucks, for the medium sized cannisters. Bargain, has the same mix that is in the jetboil cannisters.
Hi Nathan, Just a thought… Not particular for a x mas gift. But for a round Australia trip with a car and van conserving water and still washing with a pressure washer. Have thought and looked into the utilisation of a handheld accu powered pressure washer for on the road… RYOBI 18V Easy clean 600 psi ! When an air hose does not clean the mug of doors, windows lights reverse cameras solar panels and so one. A brush and white not working either.. I was thinking to get such a little handheld washer can attaché a sucking hose, the van water hose, external pump and also can screw on a canister and all without a cable. Having a RYOBI 2x18v chainsaw you get the same 18V 4Ah accus. My point is to use this to wash anything on the beach and on the road with less water possible and highly moveable. Can use also to put small fire out with high pressure water 🚿 (I.e. Under the Car or bonnet or bbq). Washing remote location the salt from the solar panels without whipping and scratching the surface… The new V2 600psi unit looks much better then the V1. Yes, added weight for the unit and spray Lanze but not for battery and charger since mostly everyone has a RYOBI 18V drill or rattle gun or chainsaw already with the batteries and charger station. In the van toolbox. I agree it is to big for solo trips car only, but I have a 100ltr water bladder in rear footwell or drinking water, so what… Weight and space vs. usability?… Have you thought about it? What’s your pros and cons??? How do you clean in campside without water supply? Just with your garden hose from van tank would consume allot water but with very low pressure. Happy to learn from you and your audience before I put it on my tool shopping list for Bunnings or Home Depot. Thanks 😊
Hmm, this is a good idea and something I'll definitely look into. I remember looking at these a little while back but never ending up going through with it, but now that I'm on the road it mighgrb e something worth visiting. Well at least you know if I end up getting one it will end up here 😆 Cheers again 👍
Brilliant summary of some very practical items Nathan. I have sent a copy of your link to each of my three adult children along with my strong recommendation of the value of your advice!
Awesome, thanks Ian! I'm glad you enjoyed this and hopefully your kids will get some some useful ideas too and who knows, they might pick up on the hint for your Christmas Wishlist 👍 Thanks again
Nice video 👍 didn’t think I was going to get anything from it but I was surprised. I liked the arlec light 👍. And I caught the “bogged Nissan line” 🤣😂😅.
Good tips Nathan! I reckon I spend a day cleaning the vehicle after a trip and use the same type of cleaning products. Not sure what the warranty is on the Kinchrome ratcheting spanners, but I purchased Repco ones which have a lifetime guarantee. Cheers!
Cheers mate! Haha, yes just like me with the cleaning! Im finding it much harder on the road now 🤷♂️ Hmm, good idea, this would be much more affordable!
Fantastic ideas for gifts Nathan. Thanks for going to all that trouble. Yes I too caught the bogged Nissan line 😂 AND a glimpse of your new camper 😉. I do hope your journey has been fabulous so far. Have a great Christmas 🎄
Great real world list and something for everyone. Cheers for your efforts on the videos and information as I have learnt a lot through all of them. Happy Silly season 🥳🥳 Cheers 🍻
Thanks mate, appreciate the words of encouragement and so glad to hear that you have enjoyed the content! Hopefully I can continue to provide this as we move forward into 2023! Cheers mate!
Thanks Tom! The Hi beam light is a great product for sure! ... hmm, way too much online shopping and trial and error.... I think my wife can confirm this 😆 I've got a shed full of this stuff, but so much of it is only gimmicks!
Why are you using the American phrase 'Overlanding' in the title? It's not called that here. It's the same with all the pretenders calling 4Wding 'wheeling' all of a sudden. Keep it Aussie please.
I believe he's resettled in Aus from another country, not totally 100% certain, but that would explain the term "overlanding". In actual fact, overlanding is a term very much utilised the world over, so it's not unusual to hear it on RU-vid. In our assie vernacular, "4 wheel driving" is descriptive of utilising your 4bie for an off road trip, "basic short trip off road". Overlanding is more descriptive of touring great distance including off road travel, equivalent to "outback". I've no problem with him utilising it, expect to hear it on RU-vid if you tune in. I personally say I'm going "outback", that covers it precisely for me.
