I just ordered it, and I can't wait to create terrible looks with it (I'm old, but pretty new to makeup, so I can't even mascara myself without making a mess--forget a cat eye!). Thanks for this! Ghost Town works beautifully on this pale woman, and I can create a lot of different looks; it’s a favorite to travel with, and I LOVE the Oslo travel palette. For some reasons those tones are perfect for light skin, silver hair and green eyes. I haven’t liked neutral palettes as they look plain and aren’t flattering - may just be me! - but Oslo, and Nomad’s first little blue 6-pan travel palette work. Okavango Safari is awesome with its neutrals and greens and Ghost Town is a killer (😉) palette all around. Nomad never uses talc, has very kind owners, and always give to charities, really fun guessing games and I love to travel (or armchair travel!) so I stick with their palettes. I am light skin neutral leaning warm, so I am not as fair as you, and I prefer palettes that are light/med toned eyeshadows, so I rarely use dark shades, I do use them, but I use mid toned eyeshadows the most. I think you are exceptional on your recommendations and I like to see what palettes you like because I probably will enjoy the shades you like. I bought the Master Matte eyeshadow palette from Makeup by Mario and the etheral eyes, and they are not equal. In fact, I gave the Master Mattes to my sister. Etheral is a better formula, and he should have made that one permanent. Glamlite's Ghostface is one of my favorites, I have used it so much this year, and do I dare say, I think I like it more than the Chucky palette. People are sleeping on C beauty, I am loving Cheeryup palette fleeting life. CHIOZ Beauty is another favorite C beauty brand. Rom&nd's Dusty frog garden is so good and I love K Natasha Denona's formula is my favorite but I also move shades around to create my perfect colorstories, but my 2 favorite palettes from her unchanged are the Triochrome and Safari, I love them so much, they are the larger sized palettes. I hope we get another palette from her, I didn't pickup the Golden one because I have the original Gold and do not need duplicate shades.
Hi Maaike many really pale people do have a variety of undertones as depth of colour is very different from undertone. I’m extremely cool in undertone and have the issue of everything either looking really warm or dark 😂. That lands of enchantment did appeal to me, but the price doesn’t 😂. I find the oriental brands do have extremely light shades on offer, but they have a warmer undertone to suit the majority of skintones in that area of the world. This has made some of my K beauty purchases less useful than I had hoped, but I think the quality of the eyeshadow is excellent for the price point. Viseart has some really good palettes that are fair/pale skin friendly and my most used is the cool matte palette- I can use it as a base for most looks and add a shimmer for the lid from elsewhere. If you like grey the ND Xenon midi has a lot of lighter shades to play with and the difference in undertone within those shades does show up on me btw. This year I’m excited to realise I can make duochrome or multichrome shades work on me, but I have to keep the rest of the eye really really soft and basic. I’m apparently a cool Summer in colour analysis with ultra pale cool toned skin, ashy mid blonde hair and grey eyes for reference. I pull everything warmer than it looks in the component and this makes makeup shopping difficult at times😢. Best wishes x
Hi, thank you for this, do you know what it means when sage greens, for instance look blue (or more blue) on me? I think I’m a neutral to cool undertone (my veins appear green-blue) but I don’t quite get what does or does not work on me until I try it, whereas other people seem to know - like they’ll say this is good for olive skin tones, etc. I write down for my palettes which colors I like the best, but many colors I don’t know if they will work unless I try them. I guess I should look up videos on undertones.
@@daisycate Hi if a green is looking more blue on you then you likely have a warmer undertone. The vein thing is a bit of a myth I’m afraid 😱. In pale skin a cool undertone has more of a pink hue and warmer undertone is more yellow. In deeper skin a blue undertone is cool toned and a more red or deep gold hue is warmer. Golden medium skin is warm or deep bronze is also warm. A light to medium skintone with a more pinkish beige is cool and as stated a golden skintone is warm. Neutrals can wear both warm and cool colours aka blue looks just as good as orange on them. An olive undertone is also more neutral with it’s mix of yellow and blue. I hope that clarifies undertones more for you x
Ive been on the fence about the nomad ghost town..i tried 2 of their travel palettes and hated them so im a bit hesitant to pissibly waste even more on a larger palette..
