I advice using plain gold/silver dust to roll for your gold/silver rocknoses. The shadespiced food costs way too much dust to make and only probides a 6% chance increase If you are patient you are better off just feeding them dust. In my experience it takes longer to farm the additional gold and go on shadebloom runs than just buying more eggs

When you farm vaults (inside or outside the vaults) on the _Isle of Siptah,_ and skin the bats and various mobs specific for those vaults, you get _'Devolved'_ items. Put those into the press and you get 10 _Ichor_ for each 'Devolved' item. You can gather Ichor quite quickly when you know how to get those things. It's not passive, though, so keep this in mind when you're doing other things (farming Sigils, Eldarium etc.). As for the Exiled Lands, there's this stretch along Noob River (M-7 on the map) were you'll find the Salamanders you can skin and get Ichor and Volatile Gland (the latter is not easy to farm quickly). It's a lot more work to get the stuff at the desert river (G-6 to H-6, and F-7). I found it a lot faster down at Noob River. Gold and Silver is probably the easiest things to get. There's about 15 chests at Buccaneer Bay underwater with coins and bars. Never had an issue with lacking those things in the Exiled Lands. On the Isle of Siptah, there's both Gold and Silver ore outside each vault.

I think the idea behind the video is this is a passive method not an active method. In CE, there is an awful lot of farming for different materials. If you wanted to farm alchemical base, the best way to do it is to kill high tier bearers. Each drops 500 base. If you were running a meth lab, you would have enough to accidentally detonate a canyon in no time.

I've been farming sand reapers in the desert NW of Sepermeru but that usually yields only 225 or so ichor from the six reapers each fight. Setting up a farm sounds like a good idea; thanks for the tip!

You know that guy who always says, "Well actually, that's not correct. It's better to . . . " Yeah, I hate that guy, and now I need to BE that guy :( Do NOT use shadespiced golddust to increase the odds, here's why; Let's say you want 1 Gold-Veined Rocknose - henceforth refered to as GVR. You will need the eggs obviously, and gold dust. 1 egg cost 10 gold coins and has a 20% chance of making a GVR if you give it 1 feeding of gold dust. So your best chance of getting 1 GVR is by getting 5 eggs. With this you will usually get 1 GVR, rarely none and occasionally 2. Here's the math; 10 coins (egg) + 1 dust (½ coin) multiplied by 5 get's you - 1 GVR = 52.5 coins. If you use 1 egg + shadespiced gold dust it's a 26% chance, since you now only need 4 eggs to get 1 GVR that's ten less coins you need right? YAY! We're saving already! Except we're NOT. To make shadespiced gold dust requires FORTY GOLD DUST! Not to mention the shadebloom which is far rarer and harder to get than the gold! Now the math looks like this; 10 coins (egg) + 1 shadebloom + 40 gold dust (20 coins), multiply all this times 4 and you get a Grand Total of - 1 GVR = 120 gold coins + 4 shadeblooms. To get gold dust put gold bars or coins in a grinder for these results; 1 bar = 5 coins = 10 dust, or 1 coin = 2 dust, the ratio is the same either way.

This should have more upvotes. When I made my 10 pen farm of nothing but gold vein rock noses, I only fed them rocks or iron, I forget, to get my GVRs. I forget how many coins I went through and I also had mad luck, but it was WAY cheaper than trying to give them the shadespice crap. NOT worth the dust at all.

Or, as you mentioned in a previous video, you can go to the west entrance of the den, kill the 2+ bearers there, and hopefully loot TONS of alchemical base.

I started working on my passive animal pen farm arround 2-3 months ago. I've placed 7 top tier animal pens: - 2x Goldvein Rocknoses [10] - 2x Silvervein Rocknoses [10] - 1x Corrputed Spiders [5] - 1x Queen Reaper [5] - and the last one supposed to go for birds to produce feathers... The reason for getting animals pens with pets other than Rocknoses was to get rid of all type of low tier meat that is stacking up in my fridges and have a chance to turn it into something useful. But this isn't efficient as meat spoils inside pen. It would be dope to stop meat decay by putting ice into the pen. But this is not happening.... Nice idea with those fat worms

A solution I've found for having meat go bad in Animal Pens is to stick a Scorpion Variant C or D in one slot, it will convert 1 Putrid Meat to 5 Dung. It's not absolutely ideal, but using Dung instead of Putrid Meat to make Fertilizer is a decent tradeoff.

I had no idea about this thank you. I was getting alchemical base by either preying on bearers and hoping they had it, or by hunting spiders and gold/ silver in various chests to grind down. The farm looks a good idea though for sure

I don't get why people freak out about ichor. Just raid a spider cave and pick them. Gold and silver dust in large quantities though...

Use corrupted spiders instead, cuz their human flesh food can give you a 50% chance at ichor, and being putrid flesh also counts as a food for them. I think all their food gives 50% chance at ichor though

That is a really neat farm but it is way easier just to farm the guys with the back packs. It’s random but I never hurt or need base.

Nice Method ! Usually i kill all Bearers in encounter and the T3s can drop even multiple Base stacks.

Be advised, this method is really only useful on a dedicated server that doesn't stop when you log out. Otherwise the passive production is only active when you're on the server and is far too slow to be useful in a meaningful way. You can farm the materials far faster and in greater quantities when needed if you're playing on your SP, free server hosted by your PC.

Uhh.. you can just become an admin on you sp or free server and change the timers. When I play solo, I don't leave the thrall timers at 1.0 because I'd never have thralls lol

Shadespiced Demon Blood gives a 20% chance to get a corrupted spider according to the wiki. probably the best thing to use

Good lordi I need to take a minute before trying to get through the rest of this. The pronunciation of ichor is "eye-core". That massive spam of the word in the start like "ickrr" was causing damage. Holy balls! Other than that cool stuff. Whacking spider critters is what I usually do but might try this out when that gets too boring. Might be a good trick for the people with arachnophobia though. People with that might not even play this game anyway but you never know.

Seriously. In the time you spend building animal farms you can harvest more mats than your pens will produce for a very long time. Not to mention it’s not actually passive since you still have to continually transfer those grubs. Not exactly fun game play.

Only gold producing have some sense.Ichor is easy to farm by killing any insects or komodo.Silver -just farm silver mine and you get allot.But all this is slower way compare to farming T3 bearers

The updated version says you need gold and silver dust for the base. I have yet to find out how to get just the dust. I have plenty of the silver/goldstone.

Granted, this is passive, but this is incredibly slow. Based on gold noses producing byproducts every 20 minutes, and only having a 5% chance for it to be gold (all based on wiki numbers), this will give you on average roughly 12 base a day. That's a lot of materials and time used for such a low return.

Seems ok for passive, but I just farm spiders and throw gold and silver into the grinder for dust. On an unrelated topic I have a question for anyone. Have you ever experienced a bug in sinners refuge where all those exiles disappear and are replaced by a single green spider? It's really pissing me off and was hoping if someone knew a fix without having to start a new game.

A lot of work for a small reward. Just farm it. It's so easy. Do a run for gold, silver and ichor once in a while and you will jave more than you need. But the idea is cool.

The point is to have goldstone in the works while you're offline. Seems like this idea only works if you have 10+ big pens with ALL goldvein rocknoses 1 gold vien produces on average 4 goldstone a real life day. some days are better than others but thats what you can expect. so you'll need ~25 goldvein rocknoses to really see a difference everyday, otherwise. going to the black galleon every 15 minutes is probably the play if you need a real farm

It’s not worth it for icor. Ist way faster to farm it than to set this up. I’m not sure about the silver. But it’s definitely worth to use goldstone roch noises on the exiled lands. Way more efficient than the obsidian. 👍 Farm Icor: Exiled Lands: Starter Dungen on the bottom left. Siptah: Demonspider Vault. I don’t know the exakt names, bu I gonna find out.

Interesting idea, but man, this is slow. ;( Tried your tip, but it's good maybe for the times your pen has no other use (like taming new pets). The RNG in what comes from the rocknose as the "poop" is meh. In 20 minutes I got 3 ironstones. I would prefer the effort method: One run into the spider desert near Sinner's Refuge with a pick for the ichor, after that volcano for the goldstones and finally scorpion mine near Sepermeru for silverstone. All done under 1 hour and you will get around 1500-2000 alchemical base from it. :)

Any tips on how to actually progress further on official then a sandstone base ? 😅 i tried hiding, sooner or later they always find me before i even get the chance to upgrade and build a decent base

are PvP or PvE? There are a couple of things you could do. First, you could move to a server where peeps are not a biatch. Wak and Kian have servers you might be interested in. Second, stay and build in a place where they can't find you. That would mean really remote and build unobtrusively. Third, there are places that if you can get the location, they just can't get you, full stop. One such place is the east side of the dam in Nordheimer territory. It is hollow and accommodates a full base. You can install a gatehouse is such a way that it is unclimbable. There are ways of making the bldg pcs essentially unbreakable, but I will let you research that. Fourth, layer ceilings and fence foundations, 5 per section, 2 or sections deep and use the landscape to your advantage. Hope this helps. Personally, I find too many PvP (PK) are just dicks about things. Their alpha clan rules the server and then peeps move on. After fighting amongst themselves, they get bored and then move to another server to torment. PK should be all about having a good fight and not just being a bandit, like base raiding when no one is around to see what you can steal and if you can break someone. Anyways, just my thoughts.

I just did the math on this using a small animal pen and a gold vein rocknose as a simple example to start. It takes him 20 minutes to eat one stone and he has a 5% chance of pooping out a goldstone. Therefore for him to cycle thru a full stack of 6k stone once will take him 83 days and provide only 300 goldstone for your trouble, before carrying on with the 4800 stone thats left (rest is ironstone). I dont know about you guys, but even on a PVE or PVE-C server this is a complete waste of effort and if you really have nothing better to do, find another game

why not just fish farm? seems really easy to just place traps, run around and farm up gold and silver around Sepemaru or buccaneer Bay, dump the fish in a cooking station, grind your metals, go out for another run, and then come back to a fish fry and ichor everywhere?

Chance that silver or golden Rocknose will produce gold or silver is 5%. So it will take you a week with 1 of each Rocknose to produce only a dozen of silverstones. Complete waste of time.

Definitely the slow and hard way. Perhaps worth for the gold rocknoses if you live far away from gold sources. Otherwise, Bearer III has a decently good chance of dropping 500, occasionally 1000 alchemical base.

This is no good on savage wilds, only place I've seen the rocknose eggs spawn is on enemy thralls at The Grove. Not ones single guide explains how to get these reliably on the savage wilds map.

As long as you don’t place them out into the world. Pets have a one week decay timer, unlike thralls and mounts.

Just farm lvl3 bearers you will get anywhere from 500 to 1000 each time... I haven't farmed alchemist base for years, just get the bearers 👍

Seems like a waste to me, way too much effort. On Isle of Siptah, there is so much gold and silver everywhere that you can just easily farm hundreds of them whenever you want, also several locations with many spiders and scorpions you can get a lot of ichor from. It is a bit more limited on the base map, but then again there is often hundreds of alchemical base in supply crates you pick up from bearers you have killed. Even with the method here you'd be far better off using corrupted spiders since they have a far higher output of ichor than normal ones.

the operative word is PASSIVE. Think of it this way. You kill 5 bearers and get 500 alchemical base from one pack. Suppose you don't want to go to the trouble of killing those bearers? Travel to and from, the cost of a rental car, new suit, its a real hassle and has its own expense. Now, you set up an almost closed system that produces mmm 5 to 10 meth base per day. As you run your meth lab -- I mean crafting benches -- you use some or a lot up. You have a passive regen of your stock so you don't have to worry about robbing the bearers of their packs and getting the right ones. Now, don't be surprised if the FUNCOM Feds bust you in the future by routing the base deliveries by other means and the supply from the bearers dries up. You can still ride your candy apple red mustang around and be all cool when all dos udder guyz rr whinin' 'bout not havin' da base for der meth lab -- I mean craftin' tables.

@@rembrandtshadows I always had thousands of excess alchemical base that i would never be able to actually use up, despite never intentionally doing expeditions to get these. Why? Because while farming the camps for T4 workers, you have to kill the bearers anyway, so while it is not a passive way to get it, you get it on the side while farming for something else anyway, even more so if you are in a clan with several people farming thrall camps at all times. Even if you just hit the gold and silver ores whenever you go into a vault and the spiders whenever you are next to them, you will have ingredients for so much more of this stuff.
