@@raditya2938 He Would Have Lost 2 Ways, One: If The Verdict Is Not Guilty, A VERY Capable Assassin Will Pay The Client A "Visit", If The Verdict Is Guilty: The Client Gets Jail But Won't Die In 24 Hours. So I Rather Pick Guilty. (And Yes I Am Aware This Was 6 Months Ago)
I gotta love how Phoenix was legitimately ready to send Engarde to death by letting him go, and if Engarde didn't say anything, he'd be dead before he even blinked.
Engarde panicking in court in JFA was one of the most satisfying moments. Shelly De Killer took on the whole police force, and had almost inhuman combat and stealth skills. Dude was like the liquid Terminator or something, he completely defied logic.
@@Karak-_- Well, bending the elements is different from magic. Magic is the creation of something from the primal essence that is called "Mana" or "Aether". Able to bend and fold reality unto itself. To just create something out of nothing. Turn Lead into Gold, something Alchemy has never been able to do. Bending requires the element to exist or a base to create said element. Earth need to be standing on the earth. Water have access to water. Air, which is basically everywhere. Unless you are in a vacuum. Fire either need the ability to create a spark or access to a flame. There are other forms of bending. Like Paper Bending, used in Read or Die series, where the one able to use such a bending art can cause people to be stronger than steal or take on properties that normally are impossible. Though paper still retains its weaknesses under prolong assault against them. Like being burned, being wet, or cut.
The only way the Anime ending for Engarde’s trial could be any better is if Pheonix dashed around the courtroom and gave everyone, from the Judge, to Andrews, to Edgeworth a massive hug. God I love that miracle
The problem is not that the bust was not revealed, its that the player had no way of knowing acro had a blanket over his legs, therefore no basis for calling it was in the courtroom
To be honest, a guilty verdict would actually be worse for Engarde. He will go to prison, where Shelly de Killer can't hunt him down, but when he goes free, if at all, de Killer will still murder him anyway. Because of him getting a guilty verdict, he's essentially prolonging his own death.
and how exactly would that be worse for him? if he got declared innocent he would have died on the spot. shelley de killer would probably be dead by the time hes released anyway, if at all
@@mattiswan1 Well, dying on the spot doesn't sound that bad compared to possibly living in a prison (He was a star and it'd be crushing to know that his old life was tossed away like that) and worst case scenario, being imprisoned then released only to die
@@mattiswan1 Actually all murderers in the games get executed Edit: Yes I'm wrong so please don'y reply to me about how this murderer is alive and whatnot
@@ndiyabucaphukelaubusobakho1732 matt didnt murder anyone directly though, he hired an assasin. which is still murder, but i dont think his sentence wouldve been so extreme.
I only ever watched parts of season 1 when this anime first came out, and ended up dropping it before season 2 bc I got impatient. It's amazing how they took the circus case from jfa, literally the MOST HATED case of the game, and turned it into something so beautifully heartbreaking. I mean it was sad in the game too, but... to actually see regina jump up, apologize, and have a total meltdown there in the middle of the courtroom just... hits different. They did a really good job on it.
The tough asses in this series are always the defense attorneys, Phoenix, Mia, Diego... This isn't just a coincidence that it was only Phoenix that made the assassin sweat
You know how interesting it is that even though Phoenix doesn't do magic tricks, he knows the INS and outs of it, and he has a daughter who does magic.
Phoenix perfected the bluff. Magic is all about redirection and making people believe what you are doing or saying in the moment. I think it makes sense that having a daughter who also is great a redirection is a great combination despite how unrelated they seem.
Phoenix's experienced being a: ~DEFENSE ATTORNEY ~JURY ~JUDGE ~PROSECUTOR ~DETECTIVE ~VICTIM ~DEFENDANT WHAT ELSE?! phoenix wright seems to be planning to take all of the positions XD XD
"I'd have to call you legaly blind!" Well phoenix... she does have her eye closed at all times... she might not be blind but she never opens her eyes so she is tecnicaly blind
Objection! Even her eyes look closed all times, but that doesnt mean she cant see Because most of asian have a small eyes, so its look like closed all times
@@Coliflowerz actually they do see pearl/Maya as the person they are channeling because in JFA Von Karma says that when a spirit Channeler is channeling a spirit the physical appearance of the spirit channeler will change to the spirit they are channeling
@@Coliflowerz Spoilers? In 2-2 (Reunion, and Turnabout) F. von Karma says that the reason why Maya looked "different" was because she was channeling someone. She then shows a picture of Phoenix and Maya (as Mia) in the Detention Center to prove so.
@@Ag3nt27 also in the third game, Dahlia posed as her twin sister while inside Maya’s body, and everyone believed her because Maya’s black hair and outfit made her look identical to Iris, until Phoenix revealed to the court who she really was And in Spirit of Justice, Maya summoned her deceased mentor in front of everyone, and everyone could see Maya fully took the spirit’s form, much to their surprise. And later on that spirit channeling power proved vital to reveal the leader to be a fraud, as she was unable to do the same at all despite supposedly being the most capable person in the courtroom at the time
I have to imagine in a world of mystics where channeling is real, they know what to expect, since they mention it a few times. So yeah, no one particularly cares because if you *are* able to channel someone, your appear changes accordingly.
I feel some sympathy for Mirika, but she still angers me for 2 reasons. 1. Even if the "prank" she pulled on Bat didn't injure him, he either would have had his performance ruined or the experience of falling from that height would have traumatised him requiring him to stop performing which would affect the show. 2. She never actually apologizes for what she did to Bat his brother; all she does is ask to take his place, she does say the words I'm sorry but only says its her fault and then promises to stay by Bat's side till he wakes up. If anything it seems more like she's looking for forgiveness so she doesn't have to feel bad. But to me she never actually says sorry for what counts.
You have to remember this is Regina; the slightly naive womanchild who didn't really see thevalue of human life until it was pointed out to her. This is a big step. Though, I do concede the first point and that she didn't say sorry for Acro's brother, but to say she's "just saying sorry so she doesn't feel bad" seems wrong on so many levels.
To be fair, I believe she does say "I'm Sorry" and immediately takes the blame for what happened - as much as she can with how naiive and childish she is, having zero context to the weight of her actions.... She only realizes it after Moe (I believe is his name), explains the gravity of the situation, and it finally clicks, but still, it would take a while for that to settle in her head...
Also to add, I don't think Mirika's (Regina) dad Russell, taught her correctly of the ways of how the world works. When people died, she would think of them as "stars", him probably shielding Regina of the world. At the end of the game, she cries. She feels guilty, and wants to make up for the things she did. Spoiler alert: Investigations 2: Regina is getting there, but because there are literally NO proper adults helping her learn about adulting, she still is too carefree. Yes she has grown up, but she still thinks certain animals can love each other/doesn't think anything could go wrong again. She trusts too much in other people that she wouldn't even know if they were the murderer.
Late, but: I generally have read Mirika/Regina in the localization at least as being incapable of being sorry for what counts, because she's just...not mentally old enough TO understand what happened to Bat. Acro probably by accident killed the person he really should have been angry with, because while I get protecting your kid...he wasn't, really, given she seems likely to be devastated if she ever truly understands what she did to Bat. (Also a bit concerned about...pretty much everybody courting her. She really seems like she's not out of her tweens mentally.)
Phoenix has the power to blast compressed winding air out of his finger and have the TV switch power point slides without even using a controller or computer hdmi or even a phone to whatever he's trying to say
It's interesting to se how they changed things from the game. I actually really like the way that they handled the mystic case, even though the original storyline is also one of my favorites. It makes me happy that both versions are equally compelling in different ways.
Huh? I don't remember the headress thingy, is that even in the game or anime only? I remember what you presented there is the absence of bullethole on her sleeves.
For a guy who is just playing the game and have not watch the anime the new shit is surprising me The one thing that surprise is the fact they didnt add that pearls didnt walk she ran
I know that people hated the magicians case. But I did like Acro and his backstory at least. Though I do agree that the case is bad, I do like some parts of the case.
21:32 OBJECTION! How could they make such a basic mistake?! (hint: look at Adrian's face, this is about the details). Edit: Lol i didn't know the judge said "such a basic mistake" a few seconds after that because i had paused the video, who would've thought.
Well Naruhodo is actually kind of a pun, because it means "I see". Phoenix Wright is Also a bit of a pun, atleast the second part is, Wright could be a reference to Writs which are legal items, Phoenix could have been simply a metaphor.
@@Timeward76 he came to know that in his attempt of settle the score with Regina, who was legitimately unaware of what she did, he ended up becoming someone he can’t even forgive, letting his rage blindingly take the life of the foster father that he and everyone loved so much As well as accidentally dragging Max into his mess, if Acro got away, the circus would’ve closed because it depended on Max a lot to succeed
I feel so bad for Ini, But Wright has to do whatever it takes to reveal the truth. I mean yes she is the one who did it but she is also human being y'know?
Technically, it's Mimi and yeah I felt bad for her but she did accidentally kill 14 people and her sister with the former deaths being pinned on her butt of a boss which isn't right even if he's super unlikable. Plus she was gonna get Maya incarcerated for a crime she didn't commit so that doesn't really help her much.
The comment about Mimi's car being American makes sense in the game, because the car they show is a late '60s Camaro, but in the Anime it's an Audi S2, a German sports car. Still left hand drive, but definitely not American. Oh, and in the game, at least in the US version, they refer to Mimi's car as a British car. No clue why they did that, unless they thought Americans were too stupid to realize that Ace Attorney is set in Japan or something.
It's not that they thought Americans where too stupid it's just that there was a time where executives thought non European products would do better with audiences if they took place in America because people were not familiar with japanese culture (?), so it was an order for almost every localization team at that point in time to LITERALLY localize their media in America, ace attorney is in California so they had to go around that and make the car British, or make Larry's girlfriend fly to France when in the original japanese version she flew to America, as time has gone by and that rule from the executives has gone away and the games became more japanese the fans jokingly say ace attorney takes place in japaniformia, they try not to bring it up too much now that you don't need to do the America thing but because of how they translated the originals they are force to still localize it to America There's a really funny thing in AA5 where Apollo, trucy and Athena go to yokai village and they had to go "recently there was a surge in popularity for the japanese yokai folklore in this village and now that's their thing" it had me rolling 😂 That "Americanize" order comes through in many forms in 90s and early 00s media, that's why in the pokemon dub they call onigiris jelly donuts, despite pokemon not taking place in our world (even though it clearly mirrors ours, Kanto is a real region in Japan, unova is clearly america, Kalos is France, etc etc) Yu-Gi-Oh takes place in Los Angeles, thanks to a passing line in yugioh GX about Jaden being from Los Angeles (iirc) meaning domino is in Los Angeles
