The personalized pillow idea is such a fun idea. I have never heard of this before and it sounds like something I would need since I struggle with sleep at times.
Lol IKR? We just now got new pillows and the old ones we replaces we bought about 15 years ago. The only reason we had to get new ones is we tried to wash them and ruined them. The pillow my daughter uses is older than she is and she’s 19! So 3-5 years for the expense isn’t that good.
Just wanted to thank you for your time and effort! I'm a combination sleeper that has never found the right pillow until I just got my layla pillow because of you. Honestly the only time I have been satisfied with my purchase:) great night sleep last night:) thanks again!
My husband and I are both 5’ 7” and side sleepers primarily. He’s 170 & I’m 140 lbs. He sleeps hot. I’m usually cold, lol! Sometimes we sleep on our backs or stomachs, but I think it’s mainly because our pillows are so uncomfortable. We both need suggestions please. We’re tired of waking up with neck & shoulder pain from bad/old pillows! Thanks!
I just recently purchased a pillow kind of pricey tried it out in the store and I loved it I took it home and I’m not really too sure about it I’m gonna give it a couple more days and see hopefully I can return or trade them for a new one. It’s hard finding your perfect magic pillow to help someone sleep good night especially with neck and back problems I’m still on my hunt! 🤔😕
Downlite Envirloft Hotel and Resort pillows are the best pillows in the world. I have a neck injury and they are the only ones I can use. They conform perfectly to your head, so your neck can be straight and not bent.
OWOW! I think I would love the Eli &Elm pillow for side sleepers. Such a great/smart design to keep our shoulders from digging into the pillow. I love the big size of it too! I also like the Temper Cloud-Cooling pillow because it's a big piece of Temper foam that sounds good for hugging! I'm also a pillow hugger while I sleep so this would be awesome!
I didn’t see a review for the best pillow for a pillow fight. I like a pillow that is easy to swing around but yet heavy enough to do some damage. I play to win!
What I'd love is that whole pile of pillows you have to try them all out! I would love to be able to test them out like that, but since I can't any of the ones that are most like a down pillow is what I would go for. The Tempurpedic shredded one looks interesting, as does the Purple with smart fluff, and a couple others too, but price is a huge factor for us so I have to watch that.
I have been having a heck of a time trying to find the right pillow. I am 99% a side sleeper. I am waking up almost every morning with a stiff neck with and without a headache from the pain. I am 6' and 220lbs, bodybuilder. So my shoulders are a bit more then the average guy. Any suggestions? Fantastic video btw!
I sleep on my side but a little on my stomach. My problem is I have to sleep with my arm under the pillow and under my head. What pillow is good for that?
I’m not sure why the “have to” sleep with arm under the pillow, but I find that I do that as well. I wonder why that is since supposedly stomach sleepers would want a flatter pillow. I hate flat pillows. Makes it hard to find the right pillow for sure. I’d love to hear her input on that as it seems to be a semi-side/stomach position.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with some pillows . I am considering the Tempur-Pedic. However, it is an investment with no returns so I plan to visit a store before purchasing. Thanks again I appreciate all of the great information.
Hello. I would really like a personal suggestion. I am 6'2" 300lbs I settle in to sleep on my side and sometimes wake up on my side or back. And every blue moon on my stomach. And I would live what ever it's the coolest pillow out there. I love to be cold and not warm at all. Thanks so much if you get to this
Hello , my daughter is 5 and maybe 40-50 lbs. she is petite for her age, like me. We are struggling to find a pillow she likes. She falls asleep on her side but moves a lot throughout the night. What pillow would you pick for her? She also sleeps hot. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
What do you think about beauty pillows like the (sleep and glow or the beauty pillow)? I am trying to train myself to sleep on my back to fight wrinkles, but I find it impossible and these pillows claim that you can sleep on your side without wrinkling your face and still have a good night sleep.
I am a back sleeper and I sometimes sleep on my side to give my back a reprieve. I have gone through many pillows looking for the best one. I do like to be elevated but I don't like how my hair feels like it's pulling as my body slides down. I also feel pressure points on my head and sometimes wake up with a headache. Please guide me!
learned so much while searching for info on buying my first pillow, one thing that was unfortunate was i went to order the pluto pillow and since i live in canada i got all the way through to the shipping address then saw they only shipped to US, was wondering if you had any ideas on another personalized pillow website that ships to canada? thank you for the information you taught me :)
Have you tried the Simba Hybrid pillow? How does it compare to these? I'm a side sleeper and looking for something that will be high enough because I'm getting bad neck pain with my current pillow, but I'm also keen on something that keeps me cool as I usually turn my pillows around. I'm torn between the Simba Hybrid, the Tempur Cloud and the Dunlopillo Super Comfort
very informative video, just enough information to help deciding on a pillow among the million options out there. One advice would be for the host to speak slightly slower, at times it feels rushed and a bit stressing.
I have a question for you. I have always had a feather pillow, since the 1960's. Yes, thst is really the pillow I have loved the most, the one I have now, well it's not great. Do you have a pillow that is close to a feather pillow sleeper?
The problem for me is that even with the Layla pillow, it's too firm if I leave the foam in when I'm on my back and too soft when I'm on my side. I'd constantly be putting in and taking out foam throughout the night.
I really need help. The side pillow looked very inviting. I navigate to my side through the night , however if I don’t stay on my back all night I get a bad neck and headache. Therefore I’m not sure which one I need. Do I get the aches only because I need a better pillow or do I need to sleep only on my back? Also I sweat in the night and need a cooling pillow. In conclusion I like the look of the side pillow but wonder if I should be trying to sleep on my back, or would the side sleeper pillow eliminate the head and neck pain? Sorry so long, I have just been through so many pillows. Thank you
Hello and thank you for the great reviews! I’d love a personal recommendation. I’m a heavyset guy and mostly sleeping my back and occasionally on my side. I wear a cpap thus why I’ve gravitated to becoming a back sleeper. I tend to wake up with neck pain and the need to crack it and sometimes too stiff. I recently learned that of course it’s due to lack of neck support and my spine not alining straight at night as I used two pillows but want to just rely on one. Preferably would love a pillow that is cool and doesn’t get too hot. Would you be able to recommend one or two pillows to try out?
@@dmotta2811 They have different filling sizes. The first one i got was too full and my neck wasn't level with my spine. Hated that one. Then i tried the yellow color which had the least filling and i love it. Also gotta make sure to throw it in the dryer for 10-15 minutes when you open it to fluff it out. I think thats why a lot of people dont like it is because they skip that essential step. That and they don't get the right filling size.
I need a pillow that has that extra umpth to it. One that will life my head high up. I am a side sleeper who awakes with a stiff neck every morning. Please help🙂 Thanks
Wow, so many great pillows I came to know today. Thanks to you Katie. Layla pillow looks perfect for me as I am a combo sleeper. Love their anti-microbial properties. Tempur-cloud cooling pro pillow also got my attention. I wanna definitely try them.
The Eli & Elm is almost identical to the Nest Easy Breather Side Sleeper. Eli is latex and Nest is memory foam. Both have the same shape and similar fibers mixed with the other material. I have a Nest pillow and love it.
I am considering buying the Ghost Bed Luxury Memory Foam Pillow and read some of the reviews of it on Amazon. A few people who purchased it said it smelled terrible. Is that true? I prefer a cooling pillow and a pillow that is not too firm, which is I previously bought down pillows. Of the 3, which is the best: Ghost? Purple?(your reviews didn't mention it) or Tempur-Cloud Breeze Dual Cooling?
Hello, looking for a personal pillow recommendation. I'm a side sleeper and recently got a soft mattress which I'm enjoying, but because I sink into the mattress more my previous favorite pillows are now too thick. I used to favorite cheap polyester/gel pillows, down or shredded fill pillows tend to shift all the filling to the ends of the pillow in my experience. I tried the Layla pillow but had to remove quite a lot of filling to get it low enough, and I wasn't a fan of the weight/slow response. Any recommendations? Thanks so much! :) The Saatva and Nolah pillows are on my list to check out so far.
I’m torn between the Eli and elm and the coop. Mainly because the price. If the Eli and elm was still $99 I’d get it now but it’s $130 now! I’m a heavier side sleeper who sleeps hot and sometimes sleep on my back. What do you suggest? Would the original coop, eden coop, or Eli and elm be better for me? And I wish I could machine wash the whole pillow for the eli and elm I think if I could machine wash it I would buy it for sure Please help :)
If you don't mind spending money for ads and propaganda from Mike, that is ok. When I put My Pillow to a test by someone who trusted Mike, she picked a Costco pillow instead under a blind test. The power of suggestion is powerful.
Thanks for this list! I was surprised that the Purple Harmony wasn't on there (so now I don't feel so guilty for not buying it). I am interested in the Eli & Elm Side Sleeper Pillow and I especially like that it is adjustable. Off to read the individual review!
I can't sleep on pillows that are too high ..my pillows I sleep on is flat or low if that make sense..if I have to sleep on a high puffy pillow, it has to be extremely soft , that once I rest my head, my head has to decompress extremely ...so which one of these pillows suits my needs
I really like that pluto customizes a pillow for you. I REALLY LOVE THE ELI AND ELM I love the loft and the curve in the pillow. And as always I LOVE THE LAYLA. I just really love the loft plushness of the Layla as A side sleeper I want that fluffy plush pillow that supports my neck and soft on my ear which can hurt if a pillow is too hard I have seen you talk about Coop Home pillows but I am just not sure if any of theirs will be great for me.
Does a pillow case on the ghostpillow or any cooling pillow affect the ability of these pillows to do what they’re advertised to do? Also, is the Purple plush a cooling pillow?
Just bought my pillow today after watching this review multiple times. You’re very knowledgeable and speak with confidence. I like it! If there’s one thing I should critique you about (out of love) is that you talk like you have spit in your mouth and are waiting to swallow. Maybe try drinking some water before the reviews? You can also keep a water bottle handy with you in between cuts. I hope I didn’t offend. I just like your review enough to want to write back with helpful tips.
(PLLLEASE get back to me I literally subscribed to you for your comments plus I just found out about you) I have myalgia that became fibromyalgia (very rare for a young woman) and I've been looking for pillows for 2-3 yrs now and wanted to no if you can do video of someone with chronic illness (preferably the type that depends on sleep/rest/support for you're pressure points from head to the end of you're spine) plz respond back when you can.
Donna, I'm a 56 year old man with several Immune disorders diseases with 3 types of Arthritis, with Lupus that flares so often I'm beginning to think it's a never ending disease that stays flared 24/7 even though I'm a male I too have Fibromyalgia and then some muscle tissue disease I've never heard of called "OverLap Syndrome " so with those problems you can imagine my joints are beyond aching I literally feel ever joint in my body is bone on bone. I also have stage 4 C.O.P.D so my sleep problems are many. About 20 minutes before bed time I start getting a bit of anxiety because I know how terrible of a night I'm going to have trying to sleep so theres several nights I cant even fall asleep because of the anxiety the pain and I just cant get comfortable. I think I've spent close to $20,000 on mattresses and pillows but nothing works. Because of my C.O.P.D and pain meds no doctors will give me any type of sleeping medication, the only thing I've gotten two different doctors to prescribe to me for sleep were both Antihistamines and they do absolutely nothing except dry my head and nose out which alone by itself makes it feel like my oxygen machine isn't working. So as you can imagine I'm at a lost cause. I have literally stayed up without one minute sleep for almost 4 complete days . Lots and lots of days being up two solid days and when those happened you would think I would literally passout and sleep for days but unfortunately what happens happens to me every single night rather I been up for days or fallen asleep within 30 minutes of going to bed for three weeks solid I still wake up around every 35 or 40 minutes either in pain or just having to rearrange my position. That will happen every single night and if I stay in bed for 14 hours I still am very lucky if I manage to get 4 or 5 hours of total sleep and that's total in a 14 hour time period waking every 40 minutes. When I wake in that 40 minute spand I'm unable to fall right back to sleep no matter how tired because alot of those times I'll have to either sit up or stand up because of over all body pain. My doctors have said it is what it is mostly because nothing has ever worked and most all nights my average sleep is between 3 and 4 hours. I started having pain and all other problems from my diseases about 11 years ago but the sleep problems only started about 5 years ago and they say how important health and sleep go together well if you knew me personally youd understand just how important that saying is because everyone has mentioned one way or another how terrible I've aged in just the last couple years . I went from no gray on my body to solid gray on 95% of my body in about three years. I swear two doctors have mentioned I should have documented my lifestyle the last ten years that it would have made a very good learning tool for medical students of the effects certain diseases have on the body but with me having so many and each of them leaning on the bad side it would have been hard to determine which was causing which problems. Enough crying I just wanted to stress I'm a very rare subject with having so many illnesses all together at the same time and trying to find a combo of mattress and pillows I believe DO NOT EXIST for my case but I will definitely keep trying if I can afford it because its literally been more then three years since I've slept longer the 3 hours in a single time. I have slept one hour even two hours all at once a few times in the last three years but it's been over a year since I've slept longer then two hours at once. Good luck in your quest and I'll pray your situation doesn't get anything like mine. Like I said I didn't really have problems until I was around 42 and it slowly became worse and finally at the age of 53 I could no longer work. I feel I could work with all the pain issues but it's the no sleep that keeps me from doing anything at all. Even family get togethers I miss most mainly because I cant humanly function when I've gone days of no sleep at all or only 3 or 4 hours total sleep like 10 to 17 days in a row. 17 is my longest gone with only 4 hours total sleep and those days I'm probably in bed trying to sleep at least 12 hours. My poor daughter is only 28 and she has everything thing I have except one of the Arthritis's and OverLap syndrome and the C.O.P.D. other then those things she has everything I have and has been having problems since her early 20's. Her mother also has Arthritis,Lupus,Fibromyalgia and stage one C.O.P.D. but shes in very good shape as far as getting around and sleep where I'm either laying in bed or sitting in recliner all day too tired to go out to do anything at all my son is 20 and Far as we know has no issues at all but hes from a different mother
@@scotthall9525 Wow man jesus christ.. Now im feeling like a very lucky human being for not having any diseases or problems with sleep. Man i hope it works out for you somehow and that you actually can sleep well and not having to wake up because of pain and all that. Good luck i guess and keep fighting the problems.
Great reviews and information! I've just purchased a new bed and mattress (still on the way) and I am looking at the various pillows out there. I'm 6'2", 240lbs, fit, and toss and turn all the time. I usually start on my side and seem to end up on my stomach and usually have neck pain. I'm not sure which pillow to get but I'm leaning towards the Layla. I'm not sure which sleep position I prefer as I think my current mattress and pillow leave me uncomfortable so I'm always trying to adjust. Just wondering if you have any advice? Thanks!
Really appreciate you doing this video. I'm really dissatisfied with the amazon pillows that have descriptions that I come to find are simply lies. Looking at that curved side pillow, may e that really nice solid one you pointed out. Thanks again!
How can we contact you directly to get personalized advice on best pillow? Have you reviewed knee pillows yet? I know I need one, but those I've tried are way too wide so I always end up using 1 of my 5 pillows, which isn't optimal because it causes heating. I should add that I have a tempurpedic mattress and often wake up without any pillow.
My shoulder comes up towards my ear when I sleep, making it difficult for me to get proper next support. With most pillows I’ve tried, my neck sags causing my spine and next to be all out of wack. What pillow would you recommend to fill the irregular gap between my shoulder and my head instead of between the bed and my head.
Hi Katie (Katy? Sorry!) I just bought a new pillow yesterday its a foam pillow I'm in Australia its a Denton brand pillow at $119, the most I've spent on a pillow so far. Unfortunately last night I woke up with a very sore neck and am stuck with this pillow, unsure if I can get an exchange but before I ask for one, would you kindly inform me whether or not I will get used to it, is it just because its a new pillow that I'm in pain? I am a side and back sleeper and this pillow mentioned its for that, also the matierial is some sort of foam. Im stuck please help I wish I had asked before buying it!
