Get study permit in airport (making sure you are allowed to work on-campus and off-campus); get SIN (social insurance number); open bank accounts; find a place to stay; get phone plan; get student ID, buy bus pass; don't rush to buy books (many older versions of books are already online in pdf for free); look for a part time job unless you are rich; visit college career center; networking (do not gravitate on people with similar background and race; go outside of your own circle); join professional organizations in college related to your field; learn how to drive even if you don't have a car (driver license is very important).

If your NOC code matches, then you can file Express Entry after 1 year (1560 hrs) and qualify for health category Express Entry draws. You can also apply to Ontario PNP (OINP) and try your luck. There two types of PNP: base PNP using Ontario point matrix; and enhanced PNP through Express Entry.

Alberta PNP is supposed to be good. You should learn more about its various streams to see if there is a pathway for your occupation. Edmonton is a bit cold during winter but I love the fresh air. During winter, I love to walk indoors in West Edmonton Mall (2nd largest mall in North America) to get some exercise. There is a pirate ship in the middle of the mall.
The government shouldn't allow international students to work in Canada. And shouldn't give pr card for students. If u want to study overseas, u must make sure you have money. If u don't have money, then stay in u country and study
