Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the episode! And the complement is much appreciated too 😁🥂 but really Wellington provided us with all the great content so big ups to the capital city 🇳🇿❤
That's awesome! Have fun! We loved Saigon van grill. Satay palace was good (Peter enjoyed his bak kut teh) but otherwise if you enjoy seafood definitely try Ortega 🙂👍 enjoy your time in the windy city!
You guys have a way with words and expressions when explaining food that makes me want to reach through the screen and have some. Everything looked so delicious.
Hahahahaha thank you for the kind compliment. Always figuring out ways we can make the descriptive talking more exciting. Always appreciate your support thank you so much ❤☺👍
So many New fascinating places around Wellington ..thank you for showing us Peter and Yen ..Hot here again in Melbourne 42 just now having icy poles by the pool cheers !
O my gosh! 42 degrees is insane! Would literally not leave that pool until the evening lol. Glad y'all enjoyed the food though the hot soups may not be what you wanna see right now though 😅
@@PeterandYen yeah ...cant wait till autumn its hard to walk around with back pack in hot weather and my sweetypie refuses to follow my orders to march on :)))))))
Thanks guys Wellington is a great city to visit it's been a while since we've been and really enjoyed our stay. It was especially cool trying all these delicious food spots 😁👌
Glad to be able to go to another city or country.. :D Wellington looks like Vancouver, Canada. Suddenly I remembered Vancouver while watching this video.. Hihihihiii..
We've never been to Canada before but it's definitely on our bucket list of places to go in this world 😁👍 yes this year we'll be doing a bit of traveling starting with a few places in new Zealand first 🇳🇿😊
Holy breakfast! That was what we call a power breakfast! The viet noodles were very stuffed!! Someone enjoyed his seafood!! Great shares! Thank you guys! See you soon!
Really like halloumi so that breakfast plate was a winner for me. Yen's lunch plate looks amazing too! Probably because I'm craving something crunchy! The Malaysian restaurant looks super homey. Lots of great food guys!
Hey hey we both love halloumi and pretty much all cheese and dairy hahaha that's the effect New Zealand has on ya growing up. Still drink a few litres of milk every week. Malaysian place was awesome too very Malaysian vibey with the bright colour walls 😁✌
mmmmmm so many yummy dishes you guys had! Vietnamese would have to be one of our favourites and the pho and bakute sounded like it hit peter's special spot hahaha!
Hahahahaha loved that pho and bak kut te big time. But then that gurnard topped off what was already an amazing day of eating. Wellington impressed us both with the abundance of authentic flavours 😁🇳🇿
All dishes shown today we would definitely try and the sounds and comments just makes it even better guys and well done. Yummy 😋 🤤 as and that’s a lot of restaurants in one city
Very intersting. Where i am from chicago is known as the windy city too!! So wellington is the capital i see. How cool!! You know what in surprise is that pho! Never seen pho add cilantros inside. Its always bean sprouts.. Green onions and the mint... Assuming its a New zealand traditon? You guys sure made me open doors to NZ... Before watching you guys.. NZ was always mysterious to me.. Knew nothing about it!! Im so glad i met you guys!! More reasons to go to new zealand one day
Yes!!! I was gonna tell you on this episode hahaha. It's so windy in Wellington sometimes planes need to land sideways cause the wind will blow them into the runway 😂😂😂 I'm pretty used to cilantro in pho maybe it's a new Zealand ting??? We're going to Vietnam this year so only one way to know the authenticity level hahaha. So glad to hear we opened up nz for you that is exactly why we started doing these videos 😁✌🇳🇿 hope you do get a chance to visit one day 👍
hahahaha what do you guys normally eat for breakfast in Malaysia? I can only imagine how good it is meat ball noodles or toast and half boiled egg or congee mmmm
thats quite some breakfast there looks tasty and then ah those spring rolls look real great now I am tormented by all this food Wellington looks nice guess walking down the food before oh Malaysian thats nice food too ok off to get the barbie going got some big beef steaks here *😀🔍full viewed✅ supporting 🔎🎭✅ we gave you our like 👍🇦🇺👍😀*
Hahahaha well beef steaks on the Barbie are also amazing too. Especially on a hot sunny Sunday like today. Wellington food gets a big stamp of recommendation from us very tasty! 😁😎✌
Happy Monday Peter & Yen 🙌👋 always coming through with the goods & places to eat which makes me very tempted to plan a trip down to Wellywood 🙌👏 thank you for once again making me hungry 😂😭 have a good one guys 👋
Hey Dollo happy Monday to you too! Hahaha yeah it's been 3 or 4 years since we were last in welly. First time yen and I have gone together. The food really Impressed us you and Bob should totally go. It's just nice to have a weekend outta town once in a while 😎✌😁
😁 yes! Got the right emotion from you again 😂 feeling hungry is the best as long as you can satisfy that craving with yum as food 🤔😁👌 Satay was yum as but my favourite was that bak ku teh ☺
Wellington is a great city. We stopped for a day on that cruise we did years ago. One of our favourite stops. Some the best coffee we’ve ever had there. I love the look of that smoothie bowl you had Peter. I agree, it’s a great way to start the day.
Ever since Bali I've grown an addiction to smoothie bowls. It's an expensive addiction to sustain in New Zealand 😂 Wellington food scene definitely impressed us and so did the activities but you'll have to wait till next week for that hahaha 😁✌🇳🇿
Hahahaha all goods bro! You and your sister definitely topped off an already awesome trip over to Wellington by recognising us. Yen was chuffed for like a week 😂 enhanced the shot with an Easter egg 😂👌 hopefully we can meet up in Christchurch 😎🇳🇿
Always love Vietnamese food. First time come across bak kut teh with cabbage...hmmm must try that next time. Well done guys...thx for another awesome food episode.
Mum Alice, from satay house says the vege was lettuce and common in Malaysian ba kut teh. Now that i think of it mama rich used lettuce too. Wa mum surprised you didn't know 🤔😁 hehe
Peter and Yen there's a sushi restaurant on Lambton quay I can't remember the name but it's up a hill and everyday customers line up to buy their sushi - it's a very small eatery and there's a team of 6-10 chefs working on each component to make a sushi tray. The best sushi I ever tasted!
Ooooooo now this sounds like an amazing spot! If it's near the cable car then it might be daruma cause we have that in Auckland and the sushi is a1 amazing! if it's not then I'm not too sure. If you remember the shops it was near let us know ☺👍
You sure do love your smoothie bowls, don't you, Peter? Yen, that spring roll and beef salad looked great! That's my usual go-to when I get Vietnamese. And the crunch on those spring rolls was crazy!
Hahahaha Lin I'm a smoothie bowl addict! I had a smoothie every morning 365 days a year for like 3 years. Now I'm back to eating wheatbix 😅 just to change things up 😂 yen absolutely loves those spring rolls too they are one of her favourite things to eat at a Vietnamese place. I'm more a banh mi, pho kinda guy 😁
Heya Laniey thank you for the recommendation! Unfortunately we didn't try it but we're gonna save this spot for our next visit. From the look of those three exclamation marks we're in for a good time 😁👍 excited👍
Omg why am I so excited? I love Travel plus eating it the best combo. Y’all are the best. Dang this breakfast looks soooo good I’m making a smoothie bowl now 😤 Back to the video
Hahahaha yes travel and food is an awesome combination. We can't wait till later on this year when we are going on a massive tour of Asia. Good food and interesting sights wooohooo 😁👌
mmMmm... DAT satay got me feeling hungry even though I just had coffee and it's only 8 in the morning over here lol 😋😋😋 And 9:41 SOOOOOOOO true! Nothing hits the spot like some ice cream no matter how big your main meals are~ #icecreamguzzler4life
O you have an unlimited stomach for ice cream too huh 😁✌ I've been on this crazy haagen das binge for peanut butter ice cream. Seriously it's so good if you can get it try it. the tub version is nicer than the sticks 😁👌⚡
@@PeterandYen Mhm! I ALWAYS finish the tub without fail in 1 sitting. Thankfully, there's a brand called HaloTop in the U.S. now 😁 Their tubs are usually about 300 calories... Honestly, I would be obese if HaloTop and Questbars didn't exist LOL
Mmmmm Yen your breakfast looked so yum. I love anything that has halloumi in it. Woah when Yen took a bit out of the deep fried spring roll ... the crunch!!! 🤤🤤🤤 The pork dish from the Vietnamese place looked scrumptious. Man you guys eat the tastiest food.
Yen absolutely loves halloumi, camembert and brie basically all the creamy ones 😅 I'm just a sucker for smoothie bowls. It's interesting seeing in the comments cause people definitely have a preference of one over the other. The spring roll crunch was super impressive I was saying the same thing while editing hahaha. Wellington food definitely worth checking out impressed!
Heya auntie Faye 😁 happy Sunday! O that makes two of us I used to live in Wellington too when our family first came to New Zealand many years ago. We really. Loved our short trip there needa go back it was awesome! 😮🇳🇿🍲
Let me go ahead and purchase my ticket to New Zealand! OMG! Everything looks so good! New Zealand for sure will be on my bucket list for places to visit! Hugs! 😊
Hahahaha yay putting New Zealand on people's bucket list of places to go 🇳🇿😁🇳🇿 glad you're enjoying all these videos from kiwi land do hope you get a chance to visit soon 🌿✌ hugs 😁
Hey guys - Wellington offers some foodie hotspots by the looks of things. Man that smoothie bowl would have done us for the whole day!!! We've never tried one of these yet. We love fresh spring rolls - always so fresh and tasty. Great to see you tucking into some Malaysian food too. You guys must hit the gym hard with all that you tuck in to......😉😜
Hahahaha a smoothie bowl to me is like a light snack. Very light 😂😂😂 we've been accused of having worms with the amount we eat sometimes 😁 Malaysian food is a must always and the ba kut teh was just sensational 👌
I told my wife I have a new appreciation for food, especially how they’re prepared (cooked), when I watch your videos. So funny, the dishes you guys had at the Vietnamese spot, is the same ones my wife and I always get when we do Vietnamese. I always get the beef pho, and my wife gets the pork dish😁
Hahahaha great taste in food you guys! We have been watching foodie shows for so many years it was like a light switch went off one day and we decided we just had to do these too. One year later we are so glad we made this leap 😁✌
Yo guys good to see you back looking forward to a new vid from y'all 😁👌 ortega with satay palace close behind with that insane bak kut te. Hope you get a chance to visit!
Happy Sunday 😁 yeah we love Vietnamese food so much we are going to Vietnam this year to get some original pho hahahaha. truth be told we kinda struggled to find facts about Wellington hahaha but glad you enjoyed it 😁👍
Love Wellington! Wellington is close to my heart as I was born down there and I studied down there as well. As a student, Cuba Street was my fave! So many CHEAP eats for a poor student lol! Isnt it amazing when you eat something and you find something added in there?! like a bonus ingredient?! referring to your Pho Pete. lol!
Hahahahaha I love pho and it is especially tasty with different cuts of meat 😁✌ Need to find a place in Auckland that does that now 🤔 Cuba street was awesome we tried quite a few places there and also did some vintage shopping 😎👌 Wellington definitely a foodie heaven 👍
Yeah your recommendations were great thanks guys! Unfortunately a couple of places were closed cause off Christmas but the places we went to were A+ you guys are lucky to be able to eat this whenever. I crave a good ba kut teh frequently hahaha. Will need to come welly more often!
First lol 😅 - ah yes wellington 😎! Lets see what u eating today guys.. 2 combination spring roll, one fresh one fried :D, fact number two.. hang on let me fix my hair first (yen) haha gonna agree with yen on the vietnamese food :> (asian food) - just feeling that massive culture hit with the viet food! :D - def my fav, but i also like the butter lemon prawn :)
Hahahahahaha nicks been on 🔥 this week I've been noticing all the firsts too 😂 for reals Wellington surprised us with the food quality Asian food. I wanna go back now 😎
Definitely worth the price, lola stays is a magnificent location right next to oriental bay and well Saigon van grill just gave us memories of one of the best Vietnamese places we've ever been to in Sydney. If you get a chance check em out 😁👌 and have a great Sunday 🌿
Haha, oh man that Bruschetta breakfast looks so good 🤤not smart on our part to watch this before we've eaten 😂. A real mix of dishes in this one guys, really enjoyed it and interesting to see the variance in the prices too. Windy Wellington looks like it has a good range of options 👍
We were genuinely blown away by the quality of Vietnamese food in Wellington. We went there expecting pretty good but we got excellence. The Asian food in particular was incredibly authentic and well nz always has great cafes and seafood. Hope you guys managed to find some grub 👌
You guys really are well that day! Bkfst looks amazing. My 🤓 parents were in Wellington last year and absolutely loved their stay. They also said they ate well. Food shots look awesome. Loved this list!
Hey guys Wellington has always been a very pretty city because of where it's located. A lot of houses are also nestled above the city in the mountains which is really cool. What makes it even better now is all this great food too 😁👌🇳🇿
Hey bro thanks for the recommendation! Just googled the place food looks hearty and you're definitely right about the vibe nice chill spot. Will check it out on our next Wellington visit 🤘😁 appreciate the recommendation!
I would copy and paste the comment I just said about the pho for ba kut teh it's one of my favourite Malaysian dishes. Genius to combine tea and herbs and meat. A dish that gets me salivating every time 😂✌ I salivate a lot 😂
Peter and Yen Hahaha. We only had it once at this HK cha chaan teng style spot near us. Had a great anise-type flavor to it. Definitely need to try more bowls, including at Malaysian spots nearby
O yeah Vietnamese food is always a great treat. We were pleasantly surprised how much Asian variety there was in Wellington and on top of that the flavours were great too 😁👌
You know I'm so sure we always say it wrong... We Asian and would've learnt it from our fresh parents 🤣🤣😂😂 then it just stuck all these years haha 😅🙈 - Yen
Heya Liv 😁 it's been a while since I've come back to Wellington. Yen and I both had an awesome time the food was much more impressive than we could have imagined 👍 sneak peak just for you this Sunday we cover of things to do in welly 😁🇳🇿🇳🇿
