About the one day delivery thing, my dad worked really high up in the logistics department when all of that was being implemented (a lot more focused on supply chain management and stuff. he had all designed a lot of the warehouses which is pretty pog) and he explained to me that amazon was basically just burning money when they started it because there was no other option. At a point in time they were almost entirely reliant on AWS profits to keep building the infrastructure for the program.

Scrum is an organisation technique for developing software. The scrum master is the guy that plans the next 2 weeks of developement. You can get a certificate very quickly. Atrioc's not wrong though 😄

I have been on cancer stations for kids. I cannot even fathom how people can work there. Its the most heartbreaking job there is. But Yeah, compared to that I do not even consider what I do a job. I put 0 faith in these rankings. Most of the time companies that force their workers to leave good ratings or even buy ratings are at top. My company tried forcing me into doing the same -- no thanks. How about you get rid of the policy where if we do anything less than 35hrs we get our schedule reduced? That's not "empowering" that's disgusting. I could go to the emergency room and get punished financially because of it.

RIP to the people that became corporate recruiters because of Atrioc and now are one part of one of the most laid off positions.
