Hahahah fun video! I know it’s a different machine, but I’ve used the Almond Cow for almost three years and it makes great plant milks, including coconut. My favourite is a blend of almond and coconut. If you soak you almonds 8 hours or overnight, then just pinch them between your thumb and index you can pop the skins off…soooo creamy that way. Add a pinch of Himalayan salt to preserve it up to 5 days.

I have the SoyaJoy5 and I really like it. I make fresh soy milk which turns out perfect every time. A pinch of salt is important. You can make hot or cold brew milks, thicker or thinner and I simply strain it with a super fine mesh strainer - no milk bag. Yes, use the pulp for all kinds of yummy crackers and cookies. I don't use latte so not sure about that one. I've also found that soaking nuts (even 15 minutes in hot water) takes the 'bitter' out of them. Again, pinch of salt is important. The vanilla and date is always an option, but I've never been a flavored milk person. BTW - clean up is SUPER, SUPER easy in the Soyaoy5 because there is no mesh filter - so only your strainer. If you are RU-vid hunting, I think Kathy Hester did a couple of milk machine comparisons that include latte information. Thank you for another fun video!

Great video! We use the NutraMilk and it’s been a game changer! It makes 1/2 gallon a batch, along with nut butters and such. Our fave milk recipe so far is organic cashews, rolled oats, and shredded coconut flakes, and a little bit of salt; really rich and creamy! We buy all the raw ingredients in bulk, so are saving so much packaging waste.

Hi from the UK. The pumpkin milk would be one of the cheapest and it is surprising that it tastes good and nut free too. I tend to find soy milk the most neutral and love in cooking and for a latté. Would love this machine but unaffordable for me right now. Looks like it is cheap on energy too as isnt working for long before the milk is ready. Thanks Jeremy and Co. ❤another great one 🎉😊

Hello from the middle of the United States - Kansas. This is a very timely video for me. Just today, I ordered a milk maker. I'm even more anxious now to get it and give it a try. I like the Silk organic unsweetened soy milk, but the Walmart here in my town quit carrying it so I have had to drive an hour to get it. But not anymore AND I won't have to drink all the stuff that's in that I don't want to drink 😊 Great video! Thank you!

This is a pretty cool machine....I bought an almond cow a while back we love it. We make a chickpea snickerdoodle milk that is awesome. Cooked chickpeas, cinnamon, vanilla, cinnamon, and dates or maple syrup to taste. Our go to though because it's so cheap to make is oat.
@pbwithjeremy
@pbwithjeremy 10 месяцев назад
Oh wow! Do you have a recipe for that snickerdoodle milk?!
@tanyalalonde733
@tanyalalonde733 10 месяцев назад
@@pbwithjeremySure it's for the almond cow so you will need to adjust the measurements for you machine as the almond cow makes milk 4-6 cups at a time but here it is... 4-6 cups water 1cup fresh cooked or canned chickpeas 2-2 1/2 tsp cinnamon Pinch of nutmeg 2 tsp vanilla 2tbsp maple syrup or 3 dates (sweetener is to taste so add more or less to taste) Pinch of salt if using fresh cooked chickpeas. Again instructions are for the almond cow but just adjust the instructions to fit your machine... Place all solid ingredients into the basket and add water to the pitcher..go through 1 cycle pour milk into jar. Refrigerate before serving keeps in the fridge for about a week
@pbwithjeremy
@pbwithjeremy 10 месяцев назад
And does the machine pull out the pulp from the solid ingredients? I'm just w ondering if I should do this in a blender with a nut milk bag....
@tanyalalonde733
@tanyalalonde733 10 месяцев назад
Yes, you put the solid items in the basket of the machine and water in the pitcher part, blend and then all the solids stay in the basket, really easy to clean as well. I usually rinse out the machine with hot water when I'm done, if I use something like coconut... I put water in the pitcher with a drop of dish soap( literally a drop or you'll be overrun with bubbles...lol) and run it one cycle and rinse everything with warm water.

I like that it comes with a bottle and that it doesn't make a huge amount; 2 cups is perfect -- at least for us. Kudos to them for being so ecologically responsible. I do make my own milk using my Vitamix; the three I make regularly are oat, almond, and cashew. Good to know Milky Plant is easy to make but I'll stick with my Vitamix. This was fun! Your kids have sophisticated palates. I use unsweetened soy milk on oats every morning. My sister gave me a Chef Wave plant milk maker for Christmas last year. I thought I’d never bother with it but now I love it! It’s hard to find soy milk without emulsifiers and on the other hand, the cleaner soy milk lacks that bit of yummy something. So now I make soy with a few cashews or macadamias and love it! And hmmm, your video makes me want to try some of these richer nut milks to use in baking.

Hello again from weirdly warm St. Louis! Love how the fam really has fun with the taste tasting. 😁 Why no soy milk? I understand it can be “beany“, but some techniques make it less beany, but does involve cooking (See the Vegan Prepper on RU-vid) I drink strong black tea with some sweetener and Trader Joe’s organic shelf-stable soy milk. I just want creaminess and no sweetness from a plant milk, and this one is perfect. I don’t drink milk so I need it to do double duty as milk in cooking savory things, and this one works. I used to use Chobani Extra Creamy Unsweetened Oat Milk, but it was getting pricey. I don’t like the cartoon waste 😕, so I would like to make my own. Jill McKeever (RU-vid) has some videos where she makes crackers with a base of onions that her family loves. Would be interesting to make crackers from the milk machine discards and some additional fresh produce! -Janet

I really enjoyed this video. I have purchased a Milky Plant and am experimenting at the moment but it is still early days. I usually drink oat milk in tea (I’m from the UK) and I managed to buy some organic oat milk from the shop with only oats, salt and water (so no bad stuff or oil) and I really wanted to try to make it taste like that in the milky plant machine. But my results using oats was so so watery, which I think your wife mentioned in this video. I looked on their website and they suggest using oat groats to make it creamier. So I basically wondered if you have tried oat groats and if so what you thought? I know you liked the macadamia and pumpkin seed in your latte, but I wondered whether you had changed your mind over time and also whether you had tried any of them in tea? Sorry to fire all the questions! Still loving the channel. Sorry to post on an older video but wanted to make sure the algorithm showed accurately the interest in this particular topic if you see what I mean! Love your videos.

@@pbwithjeremy I’m really enjoying the machine thanks. I will definitely experiment more to find one that is creamy but not too nutty (you don’t really want a nutty flavour in tea) and the oat groats were still a bit watery. So I soaked them for a few hours. That was definitely better but might try pumpkin seeds next! Thanks for doing this video. Whilst it was hysterical, it was really really informative and I ended up buying the machine after watching this. Thanks so much for doing the video and your family's reactions were hysterical! ❤️

Don't forget to use my discount code to save you 10% - milkyplant.com/PBWITHJEREMY The machine is a little on the pricy side, but it'll save you money in the long run - it's better for the environment and you just have so much more control over what milks you can use :)

If you soak your nuts .. they'll taste 200 times better.. I didn't like cashew milk until I soaked it.. And i still can't believe you didn't soak almonds! Tip- you can buy a big pumpkin and use the seeds to make pumpkin milk (blender works better.. make sure to strain it ...) it's so much cheaper and tastes so good.. plus you can use the leftover pumpkin for making vegan pumpkin desserts or something Savory.. you don't even have to soak those..

Which one of those was the thickest and creamiest that I could substitute in making a vanilla cream for a Napoleon?

Oh... what is a Napoleon? Creamiest would be: Oat, Macadamia, or Cashew

@@pbwithjeremy Unfortunately, it’s nothing healthy. 🤪 It’s a decadent dessert with layers of flakey dough sandwiched between layers of thick sweet vanilla cream. Unfortunately, my wife isn’t onboard with a plant based way of eating….yet. I’m trying to find ways to substitute plant based ingredients into her foods with the hopes she converts over.

If you want a thick cream you might want to just blend cashews straight up and not make milk from them - if it's true thickness you need and more of a cream@@romanb1827

Of the many I have tried, I'd say they are all at least fair+ to excellent. As long as they are not the violence-based cow's milk which the industry keeps trying to shove down our throats, then they are all close to delicious.
