Paid $300 for a battle beaver. Left thumbstick was drifting hard after 6 weeks. I requested warranty repair, they said no. It's beyond 30 days so use the repair request form and pay for the repairs...I said...gross but okay... I went to use the repair form and it basically says "Send the controller to us. We will send you an invoice for repair. If you don't pay it, we keep the controller." I was like...no estimate of cost...just spontaneous charge or they keep everything? Gross company. Never again.
Yeah mine was trash. Plus they are like a swedish company or something. Not easy getting mail in and out of that area, let alone parts. That's why mine took like 5 months as well
I put my 2 buttons high and a standard positions on my beaver and I must say it is one of the best and most comfortable placements I've ever tried on a controller and most natural. Moving that pinky/lowest button closer to your top one I found for me was best..almost sitting beside the battery in that little grove, I think it's buster or high placement...I'd give one of those a shot too...cant go wrong...I had an evil and it's almost inevitable to use the pinky having the bottom back buttons that low. So higher up and closer to the first top two or even above is also worth a shot 👍
@@takethisloadie9573 yes the battle beaver. I was in the same boat as you. Those lower buttons were awkward. Once i had battle beaver raise them it feels amazing.
Me too, I ordered a beaver with high and standard and was amazed how natural it feels having them that much closer together and higher on the controller.
How do you bind your back paddles? Left paddle/slide & right paddle/jump? I was considering getting a controller with back paddles for Warzone so this was super helpful! Thanks
So it would depend on which controller you go with. The battle beaver you hold the top back buttons and hit mic button at same time and a blue light comes on letting you know you are in reset mode then hold the button you want while simultaneously holding the button youd like to map to it. Let go and the light should flash, push the mic button again and you are all done. Scuff is the same process except you hold a singular button on middle back top to put into remap mode.
So for anyone that reads this. I have them all, and the Cadillac version if the company offered it. For example…my Aim has everything you could get on it and at the time was almost 400 bucks. I’ve had issues with the Aim and the Hex. The Hex lasted about 3 months, and the Aim showed up busted out of the box. The difference is that Hex asked me to provide a video testing the controller on their website, while Aim asked for more or less the same…they then had me mail the controller to a repair facility in New York…and then they sent it back with not only the same issues, but new ones as well…it took no less than 7 attempts and me sending certified letters to their North American office and their headquarters in Poland…before they finally rebuilt my controller at their factory and sent it to me. The whole ordeal took almost 4 months. I will say, I love my Aim ps5 controller but it wasn’t worth the hassle. Hex simply sent me an email apologizing for the inconvenience and then promptly replaced my defective controller with a new one. My scuf reflex pro and battle beaver have both held up well and are both really good choices. I will also say I feel like I had to jump through hoops to get my battle beaver and in all it took like 5 months to get it once the order was placed…and they contacted me to tell me that I had to change my face buttons because the option I chose was out of stock. Also my evil controller is a piece of shit. Do not do business with them…it showed up with something sticky all over the front of the controller and I had to bathe it with isopropyl alcohol and this caused the graphics to fade.
@@PlankGFX scuf 100%…my battle beaver is great…but do not put yourself through the hassle of buying one from them. While I cannot tell you what the time line will be…I can tell you it took me almost 5 months to get mine after ordering it…and they didn’t have everything that I had put on mine in stock. The Reflex Pro by scuf is my daily and it works really well and is super comfortable.
My battlebeaver took 5 months to get in general. Left trigger stopped working in two months. I decided fuck them and their shitty return policy and ate the loss.
@@ChummyBoy I don't know that that is true. I mean I love Mt precision rings. I will admit the tensioner of the battle beaver is better built in. The rings haven't held up to long term gaming which in turn can fuck me up as well always having a different level of tension and so forth. All in all, as I write this comment I've sold my self on taking the rings off.
@@bird5471 yes the reason I say it is because it’s essentially just a way way worse “increased tension” method, because the tension is only on the far ends of the joystick turns and not tension at the small joystick movements, I would never recommend them because of that inconsistent feel but they have a use in some games I suppose
