Hi, it depends if your TV has local dimming or not, I also make TV darker in dark room with low light situation, my TV is also around 380nits. do the calibration with the brightness you are most likely to use, for example I use 35 / 50 most of the time. and the symbol, check pinned comment for that. you make it barely visible, then go 1 step further, that's all.
@@DanielZH No, I disactivated local dimming, I'm not rifering to the ps5 HDR calibration, but to the calibration in game. Sometimes games have calibration in game and I'm not able to follow instructions. For example there are two simboles, and the game says "adjust brightness untill the one of the simboles disapperars and the other is barely visible. The problem Is that one of the simbole never disapperars, no matter what brightness I chose for the TV.
@@alessandrogallo602 Yeah I see, I know what you mean and that's an issue with the game sometimes, they don't have good calibration settings, I recommend to go to a dark place in game, and adjust it there, to make sure you're not losing details in dark areas.

Hi, since streaming is not supported on HDR, it changes the output (Converts that) to SDR, and as far as I tested in PS, it seems it doesn't convert good, so I recommend turning HDR off while streaming or recording videos.

If your TV is 4K Then 2160p is correct, but automatic is better if your TV or monitor is 120Hz but HDMI2.0 so it'll switch to 1440p when you select 120FPS in supported games.

Hey Raymon! Thanks, since I didn't test this TV model, can't say for sure, but as I have a Samsung VA TV as well, here are some recommended settings. Use this Rtings article for Color calibration and Eco settings (Not HDR or SDR): www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/q90-q90t-qled/settings Your TV has a very high brightness, so I recommend keeping Contrast enhancer off in any scenario! Use the Rtings White balance settings as I sent the link above, because default color settings are so bad in this TV and other TVs usually, that'll give you much better color calibration. @@raymonarends8152 Yeah it's a very bright TV! However, in the service menu, you can turn off tone mapping overall, that said, it may avoid the warranty in some cases... Because you can do many other things there

TV settings depends on TV model, for example contrast enhancer in your TV is better to be on High when playing HDR, because the TV isn't bright enough with default settings, + I've tested your TV before, use gamma st.2084 on +2 to increase output brightness! if Contrast enhancer on High was a lot for you, put it on low!

You Have the same model as mine, go as down as you see it a bit, then go one step even lower to blend it with the background (Dark) also make sure you are at the center of the TV with no title up down for the calibration.

Hi, currently no, neither Dolby Vision, however it may support in feature but Sony still hadn't add even VRR support! (Neither ALLM) Even though if they add it, your TV has to support it also to get features like auto calibration, I can expect this when PS5 pro, and fully support on PS6.

For me, in steps 1 and 2 the sun disappears only on 28th click. Is this the best setting? Because I found in Reddit that on the 28 clik it's 6428 nits. I also found that the Peak Brightness 10% Window is 1,106 cd/m² for this TV. Thanks.
Hi, as you said it always has tone mapping on, so you should go 28 clicks otherwise it'll be washed out, those values will be converted to what the TV support
Thank you DanielZH . I will share the tests I have been doing and my interpretation is that XH95 could have a peculiar tone-mapping. In my first comment, I mentioned that for the sun to disappear it takes 28 clicks on the 1 & 2 steps in Game Mode, but with X-tended Dynamic Range set to 'Off' and this is not the default setting. I reconfigure X-tended Dynamic Range set to 'High', the default option, and now the sun to disappear it takes 28 clicks on the 1 step and 19 clicks on the 2 step. If I go back to Adjust HDR, the PS5 reset's the 2 step also to 28 cliks. Thanks.

For me there are only 3 option of HDR: Off, gradation prefered and brightness prefered. If I calíbrate with HDR off its only 14-15 clicks unitl sun disapears, if I do it with gradation prefered its like~ 21 clicks. What should mode I use for calibrating and wich for playing?

My TV turns white with 17 touches with dynamic mapping (about 1295 nits), and with 13 touches without dynamic mapping (about 735 nits)... But the manufacturer says that the model has 330 nits. But giving it 8 touches (353 nits), it's still a long way from the square turning white. How much should I leave?
Hi, the TV output is different than what it gets as input, it can get 1000nits and tone that to it's 330 nits, so you should set up based on your settings and PS5, meaning go as high as barely visible then blend it, and about tone mapping, in most cases off or HGIG is the best.

@@shumuera4226 It might be, search your monitor model in Rtings .com then look for HDR brightness section and peak 10%, that's usually the peak brightness in most cases and games.
@@richaarora8866 I see, can't say what can cause that since I can't see how it is and what settings you use, it might be flashing due to VRR and some games, or ABL, or something else, see if it's like that in other games too? with VRR off?
I did checked with playing other games like astro playroom, last of us 1 (ps5 version) and e football. I did not face any issue in those... Just saw the brightness fluctuation while playing fifa only. Calibrated my HDR with this video and the issue is sorted a bit... Its still there and makes the playing experience very annoying tho!

Are they right?? the third step is the same as the first two. I have to bring the black right to the maximum until the arrow goes further ... right?? so the sun must just disappear

Hi, try changing the RGB range on the console, one of the options should give you normal color, BTW this TV has low brightness on HDR I'd recommend Playing On SDR and it would look better that way in most cases.
