Make sure to try the game without the marker pack addons, at least for map exploration, as it was the way the game was meant to be experienced. Stumbling upon side quests and interesting side stories or random events is the most fun part about Guild Wars 2 Exploration!
Man i hope you make more videos on Gw2 one day, starting playing for the past 3 months or so and your videos are quick, easy to follow and have great info!
Good info and recommendations. I use ArcDPS, but found GW2Radial unnecessary for my playstyle. I have all but the Turtle and Warclaw mounts, so a few ALT+ keybinds suits me fine. I tried Blish but found it a little daunting. After this I might have to give it another try just for the pathing option. Thanks for the details on that one.
Yes But if you also use arc dps, then I feel like its better to just get it from the addon manager as you don't have to open the application every time you launch the game. With Blish HUD you need to launch it every time you launch the game and I dont like to launch Blish for every game session as it takes up too much of CPU recourses
I don't use the DPS meter on ARCDPS. It does have extras you can add to it like the SCT (scrolling combat text) and makes it look better with the text of buffs and dmg setup on either side and also shows the skills used. I also use the matrics that shows my ping and FPS so I can see if I need to adjust my graphics for better performance during WvW and events.
I use tou se GW2 Radial a ton but after the DX11 release, it was a struggle to get it to actually work. I use BLISH Hud Radial now, it works almost as great as GW2 Radial.
Has anyone had any problems installing these. I tried and followed the instructions from Muklukk and some others. But nothing shows up. Sometime I can see a brief overlay of blishhup ...but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.
When trying to open the GW2-Addon-Manager, im getting this error! "Github servers returned an error, The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden." ? Any fix ?
Item Search should be highlighted as blish addon, it is game changing for managing inventory. Also, gw2clarity should be mentioned for UI display customization of different boons/conditions/other things.
I knew about item search but never tried UI display customisation! Will check it out! Thanks. There's so many good add-ons on blish! Inquest chipset is another that comes to mind where you can bind 1 key for jump dodge rolling but I don't use it any more as I have kinda "mastered" jump dodges haha
@@pietersoetaert6625 well I have vsync off in game. and have just enabled gsync in the monitor settings in nvidia control panel. gw2 is using my global settings in 3D settings which defaults to using program settings. SO vsync off everywhere and gsync enabled in monitor settings aswell as 3D settings
It's an "overlay" which means that it sits on top of the game with only allowed API access. You have to provide an API key that accesses only Account, Character, and Progression information from GW2 website. It's not an invasive or cheat addon.
There shouldn't be, that would be hacking. That is definitely against the rules, will get your account banned if you're caught using it, and other players will most likely hold a grudge against you for being one of those players. Hacking is frowned upon all around, nobody likes a cheater.
the addons are fine with ToS sofar the addon devs also responded when anet wanted em to adjust certain things which would provide advantages in pvp just dont blame people for bad dps when you see it in arcdps overlays like blishhud or taco are also fine they even use gw2 own api calls
I'm starting to agree as it is the only one I can get to work properly. Well, work. I installed for first time and I have icons all around my screen for waypoints. It's really messy.
DPS addons must go, for fuck's sake =) This is a tool for pro guild raiders, why do you suggest it for broader audience? Or you want for GW2 to end up in the same cesspool of community as WoW?
Arenanet has said about Arc DPS. Basically it is only allowed or as long as it is not used to cut people out of content. I have literally seen people get a short ban because they posted their Arc DPS meter in chat. Believe me I played WoW 15+ years so I get where you are coming from but GW2 and its community is no where near as toxic and its devs and GMs really do work hard to keep that under control. WoW only got so toxic because Blizzard let it get that way.
I understand your point of view. But like I mention in the video, it can be a good tool for you to understand where you stand and I don't have it on all the time and I don't use it to check how others in my party/squad are doing. It is an incredible useful tool for build theory crafting.
@@coffeedart_gw2 Yep, no objections here. For that matter I think Anet should make it a tool inside the game, attached to golem dummy. That would make sense.
@@tsunaproxD That's very subjective. I'm fairly new to GW and it's very frustrating that I need to download something just to see what my performance is.
