Yep that is probably true, but I like to share knowledge about the game. In Guild Wars 2, For far too long, a few people find cool stuff like this and then keep it a secret only for themselves. Then when Anet catches on and bans the method after a few months-few years, then they complain. I want to change that. It's only numbers in a game. I want to build a community where we can freely share knowledge. More people sharing would mean more ways of making gold. And its fun for all

I find it sad how everything in the game is seen as "is this the best way to make money right now?" or something like that, why not just let the content be what it is? House decoration..
I'm studying actuarial sciences currently so I really like that you show how got you mean gold per hour value. Many people don't understand that in order to get reliable data, you must take many samples. The less samples you have, the larger the variance in the results you will see therefore the data is rather inaccurate. I personally don't even give a second thought to data that does not have at least 25 samples due to how unreliable it could be. Love the vids, keep them up!
I agree! Larger the sample size, more accurate the data! It's never 100% accurate, but you can try and get as close as possible xd I am glad you love the videos :)
For some reason I can't manage to complete the collection at all. I'm not getting any Sunscale Striker and I've been fishing for an hour. (I've been getting the night fish even at daytime)
i had this same issue, but i did get it eventually! time of day doesnt matter for those holes in particular, you can get every fish on the list, just keep trying. i did have the same problem so it could just be bad luck, could be something else, only more extensive research will tell
Like @giftedunicorns said, Time of the day does not matter ... I did a total of 8 runs and managed to finish the achievement 7 times ... Are you using Item Booster for extra strikes? I don't know if that should help or not. Will have to do more research. And fishing power at 975 as well! Don't forget that! Might just be rng. Thanks for letting me know. Keep trying and let me know how you do. I will do another 8-10 fishing runs today and see if anything's changed
@@coffeedart_gw2 I'm at 875 fishing power, not using Item Booster. I fished out 24 Twillight Striker and 16 Moonfin Strikers, but no Sunscale Striker :/ I'll try fishing with makrels at 975 and see if that helps.

Heart in Seitung Province + Mackerel as bait + 4 Zephyrite fish jerky (Consume them while on your skiff) + 150 fishing power food (redfish sushi, yellowfish sushi, whitefish sushi) + EOD Fishing and Skiff masteries == 975 fishing power Check my previous fishing videos (the first one from a year ago and Inner nayos one for why you need Zephyrite Fish Jerky) for more detailed guide on maxing out fishing power ... I think fishing power might be your issue. You might not need item booster buff
great video, got me starting to fish in my homestead too - but you said you needed to use multiple characters to get the nodes to respawn, and for me that's not the case? just closing and rejoining the homestead instance refreshes all the fishing nodes for me.
Oh really!? Why did I not check that? lol It would make it easier to keep the fishing power as we would not have to do the fishing heart on 2 characters. @@coffeedart_gw2yep, still need the jerky - but i find its waaay easier being able to keep it all on one toon instead of switching around, just in general, plus the gold totally makes up for it :) and no problem, thank YOU for the video!! i really hope anet doesnt drop a nerf on this 🤞

is the food+bait+zephyrite jerky costs also calculated with that gph? i am trying to see if it is better than nayos fishing. i would appreciate if you can include all the data (how many nodes spent, time taken per rotation, etc.) just so we can have a clearer picture of the stats.
Yea makes sense... Do you mean in the excel sheet as well? The cost of Fish Jerky and food not included but TP tax is included. Fish Jerky + food = ~88 silver. Each Run consists of only fishing the 6 Deep World-Class Nodes and takes about 20 mins to finish and gets you avg of 17.66 gold (After 15% Tax). If we take away 88 silver for each run then we make 16.78 gold per run (20 mins) = 50g 30s/hour Edit: Thanks for asking this ... I added a note to the excel document as well
if there are only 6 nodes, do you just afk for the rest of the time? since one node just takes around a minute to finish. also, add the prices for mackerel bait. it's around 7.5s each atm with current fine fish fillet prices. (edit: lmao i just saw the nerf, but either way i think your calculations would be much more accurate if you include all these values. ty for taking the time to do this!)
My guild and I were farming the fresh water nodes today as well trying to see if anyone would get a legendary. About 5 of us were going for an hour with no luck. We think it might be like that on purpose, or else the homestead would have too much value over the open world fishing
Agreed! Which is why i am worried Anet might adjust the droprates. Homestead fishing IS currently the best place to fish apart from Inner Nayos, in terms of gold/hour

I think people are "confused", expecting a "legendary" infusion. What we have is a infusion you can buy for each character, it's just they all share the boost if you upgrade. A lot of people didn't even know about the swim speed infusion before this update to be fair. And it was a lot more expensive to up the swim speed on each character before this change.
idk if im fishing wrong, because i got like 5 or 6 legendaries for day time in Domain of Kourna, i have 875 fishing power(sometimes 925 ) i fish fast like in the video and move quickly without loosing 99stack, idk if is about luck, because last week i got like 10 or 18 leg fish but now i almost get 5 :(

Can someone explain to me how you make the gold? After you get the fish do you sell the fish? Where TP or NPCs? Do you consume the fish? Nobody talks about how to converge the fish into gold….
you consume the fish by double clicking on it and then sell the fish fillets and chunk of ancient ambergris that you get out of it on the Trading Post. You also get some materials from certain fish and you sell those on the TP too. Hope that helps
I got my chak infusion the same way 3 days ago. It was on my 3rd stack. I cried. I always wanted one. Then today I got the invisible slippers. Sold them then bought me the clockwork infusion. My lil asura look like a bad mofo now. Lol
Thank you! I did make a loss without the infusion though. Total profit without the infusion was 458 gold and I spent about 2800 gold on the boxes. Profit if I sell the infusion is 6178 gold

I have told myself that I am going to keep the chak infusion for a couple of days before selling it and now 8 months have passed. And I managed to finish full suffused armor while resisting the temptation to sell it😂.
Congrats on the suffused armour and fighting the temptation to sell the infusion hah! I got all leggy armour from pvp and wvw but still want to make the Obsidian armour at some point just for the skins!
Holding both mouse buttons to run while also cast spells on yourself/the targeted enemy without needing to hover the mouse over in that location.. Its a small tip but it works if you're moving a lot.
i wish i have that luck but with less crates cause i'm preppy poor at the game(irl too) and if i got that infusio i would sell ta bitch instantly and buy all the lw t-t
Congrats on the infusion ! I've been playing since launch and have never seen any high value infusions drop, or even high value transformation potions. Only opened around 1k of boxes, zero luck. I believe the drop rate for these is 1 in 10,000 ?
Thank you! I believe you have more of a chance to get "trash" super rares like Antique summoning stones, minis, etc than the actual super rares. But 1 in 10k sounds about right for the super rare category as a whole
well let me talk about my experience, i start with 6.5k gold.. and want the dragonvoid so bad.. but dont see any in the tp when the event start... then i try my luck... when i was at 4.5k get the DRAGONVOID!!! was like the game lisen my prays... and that was the moment when a smart guy stop the gambling and get the infusion and the 4.5k gold.. but then i saw the posession infusion added to the box.. and start searching for it in google,8 LOVE the malefic looks!!! then i check the tp and saw 20 people with orders of 10k... then i say, ohh well i dont lose aything if i try... well LOSE EVERYTHING LOL 4.5k + 500 more later GOLD... in total after the Dragonvoid i lose 5k gold that is like 50k boxes or more... i dont check the cuantity of boxes only check the gold lose... then i can say your thoungs are true 10k for super rares but usually is the lyssa receipe (i get 5) and for the hype infusion is more like 1 in 70.000-100.000 boxes...
That is more than rare to drop.. I've been in the game since 12 years and always impress me when someone get on camera the drops of such infusions like Chak! Welcome to the line of luck people who have legit that infusion!!

Getting an MMO mouse (I prefer the ones with 13 to 15 buttons, so I can use it to activate all numbered weapon attacks and skills), and perfecting your keybinds are two of the best things you can do as a new player, before you build up muscle memory on a less than optimal keybind setup. It doesn't take too long to learn a new setup, but the first few days/nights of using a different setup of keybinds, and using an MMO mouse, can take some getting used to. Those two things changed me from being BAD at playing this game, to being somewhat competent. Instead of using a mount wheel software add-on, I prefer to use my shift key + another key as a combination for mounting each different type of mount. It's quicker, and choosing the right mount and getting on it quickly can be important sometimes, specially now that we can mount while in combat in some circumstances.
I agree with everything you said except for the mount wheel addon haha... I prefer having the radial mount addon keybind to one of my extra mouse keys and all I have to do is press the key and move my mouse slightly in the direction of the mount I want to use. The radial mount addon has also been a blessing in WvW where it queues your mount and immediately mounts you up as soon as you leave combat
