.."or a parent searching for an activity to get your kid off the I-Pad"... This is so true, I got into RC with my son and the hobby is great for the both of us. We both spend time OUTSIDE with fresh air and we're not sitting down (at least for me, not like at work). We race on school/mall/park parking lots, or construction sites/dirt pads, etc... lol we sometimes pick up junk food, Hot Chocolate, coffee and drive around and scope out parking lots, then google map them... then comeback later to drive around. fun! yes we did have to invest some dough$$, but as a parent for me and my son, $1000 bucks goes a long way and we've been doing it for the last 3 years... countless hours of laughter, ohh's that hurt, or impressive wow jumps.... much better than the vegetative state in front of a screen.... (That's INSIDE)
@@br8future Hey buddy got any experience with the budget Maverick Quantum+? HPI have some nice rigs but their main line is out my price range unfortunately. Got my eye on it and seriously considering giving it a go
wow, the Kagama. Now, i havent driven it but .... have TC rigs gotten more reliable? The Kronos XTR and Sketer was so unreliable. and while, yes, my driving always needs improvement .... when I take my Kraton, Maxx and Kronos XTR to the local bmx track, the Kronos has never not broken unless I was super easy on it. Absolutely cannot launch it like the others. Just surprised that a TC rig was on here.
I have 12 r cs Mojave 1 of them I drop a 6#$ 22ook ez run in then later dropp a big block 3474 8$ . This thing can roll over bumps, u have to own this my next victim trexxas xrt,
"Get your kid off the ipad" Very poignant. I was very into RC cars in the mid-late 80's and building and driving them taught me how to troubleshoot and fix things!!! It's a great activity for kids to get outside and get some vitamin D. My kids and I just have Granite 4x4 3S bashers (fucking great value) and we go out and bash, break things. Overall the totality of value cannot be overstated. These new vehicles are so much better than the Hornets and Grasshoppers I grew up building and trying to keep together.
Absolutely, I totally agree! RC cars from back in the day were a blast and definitely taught a lot about fixing and troubleshooting. It's awesome to hear that you're still enjoying the hobby with your kids. The Granite 4x4 3S bashers sound like a great choice, especially for having fun and getting a little wild. It’s amazing how much things have evolved since the Hornets and Grasshoppers. Those classic models were great, but it’s clear that today’s vehicles offer even more value and performance. Glad to hear you and your kids are making the most of it!
If you really got no idea about a subject other than what you read on other reviews piss off….. I’m sick of these videos popping up in my feed made by click searchers
@sharms888 Exactly. I am so damn sick of Traxxas vechiles getting all this praise when it is completely not deserved. I have owned and sampled a large number of different vechiles from different manufacturers including Traxass. The common thread with almost every Traxxas? Horrible handling. Trying to do speed runs with them is an adventure every time because most just don't track straight unlike Arrma's vechiles. The second is the horrible esc's, that for me were comstantly breaking not long after purchasing. If it wasn't a faulty esc then it would be a faulty receiver and/or transmitter. In addition, the 3s and 6s esc's make these vechiles surge and cog like there is no tomorrow. No smoothness whatsoever. The 8s system while better, still lags the Arrma Spektrum system by a huge margin. The only esc that Traxxas makes that I do like is their 4s system that powers the MAXX. That one is an excellent system and the Maxx is a good vechile despite it's handling deficiencies.
