I JUST got one last night and it's a BLAST. It drives like a Kraton!! Just smaller and lighter with bouncer shocks. I put 6 packs through it today on my ramp. 0 issues and it was a blast the whole time
HBX has been really good to me . There s no worries when buying one of their products because of their 90 day parts warranty and they stand by it . Very pleased with the HBx products . This one has been on my radar .
I've liked this platform for a while and have 2 of them. One is a 2995 with a Max 10 in it because... Overkill. That battery tray is awful though. Way too small. On ours I had to move the ESC onto the servo and cut out the tray to fit a normal 2200mah 3s. HBX bodies have never been exciting and they nailed it this time. Tires are finally good too!
This has been out for quite some time now. It isn't new, although it's definitely one of the best RC's by far smaller than 1:10 scale. I myself have two. Put in a strong 3S (50c and higher) and it will be a beast. Running it on 2S doesn't do it justice. I believe it averages 37mph on 3S. Possibly squeeze 40mph with a 100c 3S. I'll soon find out.
It’s funny when you swing the camera and you went past that dirt pile in the park that was the first thing I thought and then you said it two seconds later.Ever since I got into RC, everywhere I go, everywhere I look, all I see is places to jump RC. MJ could be standing on the side of the road trying to say hello to me and I would be oblivious to what’s going on if there was somewhere I could jump an RC.
HBX is awesome! I have a T-truck (i forget the code), but it is basically indestructible. I threw a hobby wing quick run motor and esc in it, runs 3s and does over 60 mph, its a fucking beast! Looks like this one could also use a Hobby Wing set up also :).
@JayTeeRC you're educating me. Not the other way around. Thank YOU young man! ♥️ Your content is succinct and enjoyable to watch and being a relative newfie to the hobby I absolutely appreciate being able to learn. There's WAY too much to absorb on my own. I'd get lost.
Awesome review my guy, would love to see a side by side comparison with the Terminator size wise and handling. Looks to be about the same speed on 2s. Could the small 3s that comes with Terminator fit?
