THX Saylors for more vid on the Evolution. I'm still chomping at the bit for the arrival of mine (mid-July). Kinda wish you had the slats installed with the slow flying. I'm a STOL man. This will be my first RC airplane since my mid-20s where I had a Carl Goldberg Eaglette trainer with the old Kraft xmitter. Flew that thing to boredom doing low level aerobatics, crashing and re-gluing till the castor oil permeated so much of the balsa that it wouldn't bond anymore. Then got family and house poor and gave away that old yellow txmitter. Got my Private Pilot's certificate years later and forgot about RC until a friend let me fly his Turbo Timber a month ago. Dang! Hooked again!

I’ve had the original turbo timber for months. It’s my first store bought plane. Finally flew it today and I am in love. First time flying with SAFE, or any type of stabilization. Was really nice for takeoffs and landings.

First of all love your videos! Just purchased the E-Flite Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m. I started with The Real Flight Evolution Simulator and purchased The AeroScout S21.1. First time up it kept climbing. No trim adjustment seemed to help (turns out in my panic I was trimming the wrong way). I finally just cut the throttle and made circles until it finally just floated down on it's own. A friend later told me keeping it in Safe Mode may have made it want to climb. So next time out I took off Safe and switched to Intermediate. I was actually doing very well. I even did some figure eights and a couple of loops. Then I took my eyes off the plane momentarily to crow to my wife how great I was doing. Then the one thing I was never worried about happening happened. I lost my visual. My wife could see the disappearing dot but I couldn't. So I lost it and a search through fields and woods were fruitless. The weird thing is I can say I flew the AeroScout twice and never actually landed it either time. I never put my name on the model. I also didn't take my son's advice and install an Apple Air Tag. Well I won't make these mistakes again. I really hate the thought of shelling out for another AeroScout when I think with a little luck I am up for flying The Turbo TImber Evolution. I have joined The AMA and an accredited Flying Club. Will take your advice and have a member guide me on my maiden flight.

The one improvement they should have made but didn't, are the tires. On my current TT 1.5m I changed to Kavan pneumatic tires, they have less bounce than stock and weigh less. And using the 5in adds more rake for quicker take-offs.

I have just started to get into RC airplanes. coming from RC cars. I would say as a new pilot Real Flight 9.5 has been a massive help in building my skill and confidence. My goal is that beautiful Blue Angles F-18. I'll get there one day.

Very nice. If I could (afford to) put one in my hands by next weekend I would. I might finally have an opportunity then to fly for the first time in years. I've have a "turbo" beaver from Phoenix Models...but I haven't dialed it in yet (still need to configure the flaps/ailerons). It's HUGE. I think I need to get a Turbo Timber and practice for a while first. Maybe I can at least fly my drone next week. Thanks for an excellent video. Loving my Night Timber X. Flew til 11pm and also in the nastiest wind. Makes for a fun time and you have the runway to yourself.😜 Flying backwards with flaps is great fun.

I see Nate talking but all I can do is admire that awesome t-shirt :) Pretty awesome plane and I agree that it's nice to have a plane as a "trainer" but can also be built on as experience grows vs. buying a strictly trainer-only plane that once you get to a level you need to buy a whole other plane. Spend a little more and the $$$ goes farther. Can you try a grass landing next time and see how that goes or is it too tall there at the airstrip? Loving airplane week.

Like the videos!!! Question for you, I’m a pretty new flyer, I have a Conscendo and UMX Turbo Timber….I fly in Safe Mode for the most part right now. I’m looking for my next plane. Either the Valiant 1.3m V2 or the Turbo Timber Evo….is the TT Evo worth the extra $100 in cost? And what would be the easier to fly?

Still love the Draco. Oh. I've never tried flying yet, have been in the rc hobby and racing for years. I do have this Harbor Freight P51 so... yea I know it isn't the best but it was cheap! :)

So true. We all make mistakes. All level of pilots. Not much hot glue and a couple of dollars hasn't been able to fix. I make sure to get out every morning and go flying. Makes the entire day better

So this comment is in regards to the battery voltage tester you recommended. It is a great idea so I purchased them. I have had to return them because they recognized my 6 cell batteries as 7 cell. They were prompt on sending me new ones that solved that problem the only thing is that as soon as I start flying my plane the voltage alarm goes off immediately. I am working with their support and will let you know what they tell me.

A boasty knife edge is six inches off the ground, not 20 feet 😀

Is this a good RC plane for a starter? I have a number of RC trucks/cars and a couple of small drones (nothing fancy) but I have never had a plane. Any advice?

I think the Valient blows it away. Horizon is doing minor upgrades that cost $5 bucks if that and raising prices $50. For $199 the Valient and T28 are equals and more. The Crisendo (forgive spelling) is awsome too. FMS has better models now too. Their T28 with retracts is night and day better than the old Horizon model . No wonder they dropped it.

This is very nice plane. The color scheme make it very easy to read in the sky. But I don't think this is begginer plane. For begginers is probably better AeroScout, Apprentice or maybe Habu.

Its just too bad they still havent shipped the pre-orders, and no date in sight...
